Everything was absolutely great. Reception staff (J?elena) always smiling back, responding with advice and recommendations. A bit few parking spaces, but don't treat it as a minus ... a nice guy who works there will take care of your car and park it in a safe way. Very tasty breakfasts, pleasant green patio, quiet rooms and a 5-minute walk to the old Budva.

Very clean, staff very welcoming and an exceptional breakfast. They have also parking places which for us was a must. It is a 10’ easy walk to the beach and 15’ to the old city. It’s an excellent choice for those vacationing in Budva and Montenegro.

A/C even at 16*C couldn’t cope with the heat.

I did not like anything about the property because I LOVED everything about the property from its location, value, cleanliness, delicious breakfast to its consummately professional, exemplary, hard-working staff. You will never find hosts as warm, friendly and welcoming as Slobodan & Ivana! They were most knowledgeable not only about their beautiful hotel, but anything and everything you need and way to know about their beautiful city. To say that Slobodan goes “the extra kilometre” for his guests would be an understatement of colossal proportions, Slobodan goes “the extra marathon” for his guests from answering questions, giving amazing suggestions when asked and his love for his city is positively infectious! In all the time we were there, I think I saw Slobodan ONCE taking a break during a double-shift and I swear as I walked by he was he looked like he was ready to spring into action should any guest require his invaluable help. Ivana was also on duty and she could not have been friendlier, helpful or I must say patient to this one guest in particular who, on more than one occasion, forgot his keys! As you can plainly read, I cannot say enough about this beautiful hotel and staff second to none! You awake in a clear, comfortable room, you eat a delicious breakfast buffet prepared by two VERY hard-working and kind ladies and then, you are a 10 minute walk from the most beautiful beach. Along the way you’ll find shops for anything you need! 69 metres away from the hotel at the end of the short, one-way street is a restaurant which serves by many accounts the best pizza in town! Outside the hotel you’ll see 4 stars…and you will wonder why there are not at least “6”out of 5! I was in Budva with family and my son&his wife married in Bar, about 40 km away. We could not have made a better choice for our accommodations! We loved our stay and I hope to return soon.

This hotel was an absolutely lovely experience for us! The guy at the front desk was very warm and welcoming, and went way and beyond to help and make us as comfortable and happy as possible throughout our stay. An unexpected surprise was breakfast; as vegans, we are used to being offered a breakfast of a few veggies and maybe cornflakes, but here we got a lovely, creative vegan breakfast, which was prepared and served especially for us! This is something that no other hotel ever did, and it really warmed our hearts (and stomachs!) We also liked the location of the hotel, - just a few minutes walk to the beautiful beach and the Old Town, + with a lovely view of the mountains. And lots of stores within walking distance. Next time we come to Budva - this will be our hotel again. We found it to be perfect!

The property is within walking distance to Budva Old Town and most of the main beaches, which makes getting around very convenient. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay – especially Mr. Veselin, who was particularly accommodating. Overall, a good stay and value for money.

Breakfast could be more varied, and parking is limited. However, the staff always did their best to find a spot when needed. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Everything was excellent – the accommodation was clean, comfortable, and nicely arranged. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist. Breakfast was varied and delicious. A truly pleasant stay, and I would be happy to come back again.

The only small ‘downside’ was that the room we stayed in was a bit smaller, but it wasn’t a serious issue at all.

The hotel is exceptional. We lived on the ground floor in an apartment whose windows and doors overlook a beautiful garden with a lawn and olive and magnolia trees. The furniture in the rooms is modern, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is equipped with an induction hob, dishwasher, fridge and oven. The bathroom is large and nice and has a hair dryer. Everything is clean and tidy. For breakfast they served various tasty food. It was not far to the old town and the beach (I recommend Morgan). Not far from the hotel there is a restaurant Tiffani where you can eat tasty and cheap. We would like to thank the manager Slobodan for his care.

I truly loved my stay at Hotel Vela. The staff is incredibly kind and makes sure that you are comfortable. The bed is really comfortable and there is a nice balcony. I got a free room upgrade which was amazing. Oh and breakfast is really good as well! Many thanks to this beautiful hotel.

My neighbours on the second night were really loud. but that is not something the hotel can really help, so its not really worth mentioning.

We loved Hotel Vela and it made a pleasant change to have a sofa in our room to chill out on, as well as one of the most comfortable double beds we have experienced in Montenegro! We were there out of season in February but nonetheless it was a relief to have a guaranteed parking space, and the cooked breakfast was delicious. It was only a 10-minute walk to the Old Town, and our room was peaceful. We had a big window, no view to speak of but that didn't matter to us. We enjoyed our one-night stay very much.

Clean, wonderfully friendly and helpful. Good communication. Modern hotel, quality decor. Good parking, lovely garden for coffee, good location, easy to find. Quiet area. Great breakfast. Room tidied and made up even as we had breakfast. Cool room - air con worked well. Big TV. All in all, outstanding.

Lots of building work going on around the hotel and in the town more generally. A bit surprised by the extent of the building works around Budva. We preferred to get out of the town to quieter areas but the hotel itself was in a quiet part of the town.
