the room that I was in was freshly refurnished. I've been asking for a long time that they replaced the refrigerator and they did so and the room just looked brand new and that was very nice. they seem to definitely take the time to make the place better so it's definitely a good place to go

I don't like the issue of the parking. when you make the reservation it's for a party of two as in two adults and they charge $10 now for additional cars to be parked there in the parking lot this price went up from $5 then it was 0 for a long time now they're back up to $10 so I'm not sure what's going on with that but I wish they would change that policy because most people don't even know about this hotel so they should be a little more liberal with the parking

Classic US motel, near LAX, easy to get to with car, good spot for 2 day LA road trip. Room was spacious, there was a fridge and hairdry.

Could be cleaner

Well it was the place that I was looking for because was attending a convention that weekend and was 2nd cheapest place since lot of other places were expensive. Price was right. Had everything I needed, nice closet space to seating and desk to tv with good channels. Plus liked it had a microwave and fridge that it made me save money on eating out. Close to places to eat and grocery stores. The staff was super helpful and 2nd time I checked into a hotel were staff saw my care bear suit that they waved my early check in fee because I make sure to arrive not too early but on time. Plus city had some stuff to check out. So overall i'd stay there again if needed for work or convention. Included a picture of awesome closet space and my care bear enjoying the room.

Not much issues, only issue was dresser didn't work properly and needed to use a little muscle to operate the shower knob. Also did hear sirens and ruckass. Other then that not enough to ruin it or give it a bad review.

I'm giving it a 10/10 because i have no issues whatsoever Smooth check-in Helpful staff, and provided extras whenever we asked. I appreciated the parking being so close to our door We had a mini fridge, microwave, ironing board, iron, and good comfort. Was clean and no bugs that i noticed. Would definitely book again Location worked great for us. Not too bad of a drove from the beach and restaurants.

everything about this hotel is all good. you get what you pay for so if you're expecting the Marriott or Holiday Inn then you need to go to those hotels. the Hawthorne Plaza Inn is perfect for a one night or two night stay whether you're a tourist or local I love everything about this hotel

I do suggest that they obtain newer and larger refrigerators in the rooms, similar to the refrigerator that is in room 131

I like the easy check in and check out process. The staff is always friendly as I am a regular customer I'm usually able to get the room of my choice. I really like the fact that it is relatively quiet no rowdiness and I feel safe and secure parking my car in the parking lot. I'd like the fact that it is relatively simple it's a comfortable place to stay overnight or for a couple of days I like the fact that it usually brings a decent mix of locals and tourists and everybody seems to behave themselves and take care of the rooms and the cleaning staff does an exceptional job of keeping the rooms and parking lot clean the linen is always fresh and the towels are always clean and bleached

The only negative is that I really wish all the rooms came with a larger sized refrigerator as some guest would probably stay more than one day and in some of the rooms the refrigerators are really small and they don't get as cold as they should be

Nice and close to the airport. Staff worked hard to get the TV running.

There was something wrong with the TV. When I went to the office, the man was on the phone with me waiting for several minutes. Could not reach the office by phone (always busy).

great location. everywhere nearby. free parking. very good free internet. working fridge (freezer), friendly service. I recommend it as a great base for the ocean. Lovely Cuban restaurant 5mins walk. close to / from LAX airport

no cleaning in the rooms for a 4-day stay, no change of towels. in the garbage cans, the garbage was growing after the whole day, we returned to the room and it was still full of garbage. the price is definitely too high compared to the service and quality.

Close to airport, but not noisy. Spacious room, loved kitchen facilities. Very convenient grocery stores just across the street.

Didn’t think through when was asked if I prefer 2 floor - no elevator, had to lift up heavy luggage by stairs. Not really soundproof, could hear everything from neighbors and the street.

Hotel is ok for a few nights in Los Angeles. Close to the airport and to the beach. Staff was ok, nothing special. Parking available for $5 per night. Coffee maker and microwave in the room.

Cleanliness could be better.
