I love the design of the rooms. I stayed in room lilac (all rooms are named after some flowers / plants and show design relating to their name). The room was beautiful and it even smelled of lilac. Location is also great – very close to the city, but in a silent area of Olomouc. In front of the hotel is a very beuatiful garden. As I was travelling in atumn the autumn leaves were very nice and colorful. Adding that everything was exceptionally clean and the staff very friendly.

The only thing which might be improved / added in my view would be a refrigerator / minibar

The hotel we stayed at was situated in a fantastic location close to the city center, yet away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The property was adorned with numerous plants throughout, which created a calming and peaceful atmosphere. We were delighted to find that the hotel had an excellent range of gluten-free breakfast options, and we were also pleased to find some delicious dairy-free alternatives. The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Our room was located in a quiet area of the hotel, which ensured a restful night's sleep. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would love to return to this hotel in the future.

During our stay, we noticed that the coffee served at breakfast did not meet our expectations, as we are passionate fans of third-wave coffee. Additionally, we found the room to be slightly colder than we preferred at night and missed having a blanket to keep us warm. However, aside from these minor issues, there was nothing particularly noteworthy about our experience.

The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood area, right next to the old town (5-10 min walk). Parking in front of the hotel is for free. Our room and bathroom were spacious with enough storage space. Beds were very comfy. Bathroom is equipped with shower gel/shampoo, hair conditioner, hand soap and hand lotion. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast room is beautiful and the food/drink choices were very good (two choices of eggs, various cottage cheeses and spreads). The area is lovely, right next to a small stream and it must be really nice to eat breakfast on the terrace when the weather allows it.

Window blinds could be installed differently to block strong outdoor lights at night.

We really liked The Herbarium. It is very comfortable (especially the bed). The staff are notably friendly and very helpful. It has a gorgeous and peaceful location with a beautiful garden, surrounded by trees, with a river running across the bottom of the garden, and a wealth of birdlife. Yet it is just a few minutes walk to the old town, so you get the best of both worlds - and just 4 minutes away there is an excellent restaurant. In short, the Herbarium is an oasis of calm with all the advantages of a city centre location - an ideal combination. Though it is perhaps better to think of the Herbarium as an up-market boutique bed and breakfast than a hotel (they run an events business during the day). Olomouc itself is a delight by the way - grand, beautiful, historic - yet almost entirely devoid of tourists.

They leave external lights on overnight and, lacking blackout blinds, the result is quite a lot of light in the bedroom.

Very comfortable and beautifully designed hotel on the edge of a small river and with wonderful floor length windows so I could enjoy the view! Nice breakfast included. Outdoor spaces at the hotel were also nice. Wifi worked well. Everything clean in the room.

Noise from other rooms carried through into mine.

Lovely venue, well maintained and comfortable. Loved the little touches like different seating positions at breakfast and different breakfast selections every day.

Would be nice if the staff were serving until 11 rather than 10.

The hotel was surprising in design and comfort, I would not expect something like this in this place. Convenient parking right in front of the hotel, beautifully landscaped surroundings, very nice room and bathroom. The lobby and dining area looks fantastic with the vibrant "green" ceiling. Great, very rich and especially imaginative breakfast.

Of the four lights, only one worked - a bit of poor maintenance

Very clean, nice location, soooo friendly staff, spacy room and bathroom, nice decoration, great breakfast with fresh products... I hope we will have to visit Olomouc in the future for meetings so that we can stay here again!

I didn’t find napkins in the room. Otherwise all perfect.
