Balcony is good, used our own blankets to make the chairs more comfortable. Easy self check in on-line and received easy to use code for secure main door entry and separate code for key safe next to room door 😀

Check-in/out was very easy. The room was mostly very clean. The bed is comfortable, the towels are a good size which gives a luxury feel, the shower has a good pressure and the bathroom/room are a good size. There is a balcony which I'd have used if it was less wet (rained in the evening). The area is nice, there are a couple of local pubs across the other side of the lock which serve decent beers. We went to a local pizza place for dinner which was excellent.

There is a bath in the room which was oddly not completely cleaned (had yellow spots of something across the bottom of it), this didn't impact my stay as I wouldn't have used the bath anyway, but it wasn't in keeping with the general cleanliness of the room.

We did not like a (useless in our view) bathtub inside the room (outwith the shower room). As the room is tight this space could be used for 2 lounge chairs & a table to make it more comfy. The balcony is fab though. The room overlooks the main street & the canal, so traffic noise starts at 06.30 hrs. Brilliant cleaning staff who brought a 2nd chair for the room as nowhere to sit but on the bed. Many stairs to climb if you have heavy luggage. Would highly recommend.

The mattress is not comfy enough = too hard/worn out.

We only stayed in Fort Augustus 1 night at the end of our holiday. This was a family room with large bathroom situated above the canal centre which was ideal for a walk around the village or to explore the canal. It was also a matter of yards from the Loch Ness boat tours. We thought we might suffer from road/neighbour noise but this was not the case. There was a fridge, tea/coffee, cups, bowls etc but be aware there are no cooking facilities There is a bike storage area in the apartment block ideal for the Great Glen route.

Perfect location in the centre of Fort Augustus. We were in the Loch Ness family room with a king size bed & 2 good sized bunk beds. Power shower was best we've had on this trip. Well supplied with tea/coffeemaking and also had a fridge. Very comfortable and super dog friendly. Fabulous little terrace for watching the boats travel through the canal locks.

Chef was on holiday for a month so no cooked meals available in the cafe/shop downstairs. Disappointing but we figured they had probably had a very busy summer season and deserved a good break :-) No parking at the venue but we were able to park in a nearby carpark or further along the road opposite (it was fairly quiet cos we were visiting towards the end of the season but I imagine it gets very busy in summer)

Great location, modern room, actually a lot roomier than the photo implies, which was a relief. Quiet room due to facing the water not the busy road, even had a lovely view. Was able to check in a lot earlier than 4pm, lucky we checked and there was a sign on the door before 3pm saying “check in available “. Nice cafe downstairs too.

Bunk beds were a bit uncomfortable but that was our choice to have four people together rather than pay for two rooms. Parking is a bit difficult as the town is very busy.

Straightforward entry through the door with a passcode and up the stairs to our room. Again another passcode and all worked perfectly. No reception staff. The room was beautiful and very clean and a huge big bathroom. It was a family room but we were just 2 friends needing a bed for one night as we were walking The GGW. Lovely large balcony with great views of the Locks at the start of Loch Ness. Can't get any more central than this, we were a stones throw from the pub where we had a great meal and drinks. In the morning there is a cafe just below. I also had a great 8 hour non stop sleep, beds were super comfy 😴 The room had a small fridge and was very spacious. I'll definitely be back with my family to stay here. Thanks

Nothing. It was perfect. Although after walking 25 miles on the day of arrival the stairs up to our room was a bit daunting. If you have CCTV it may be quite amusing.

Lovely property in a great location lovely views. Huge bathroom and comfortable beds The checkin process wasn’t smooth. The room name and the number didn’t align in the email ie mismatch and made it confusing. Poor lighting made it impossible to read numbers on the key lock. Also the numbers were not clear to see it align and it was tough to click open. Note to management have a look at the email sent out and consider making more user friendly for mobile users ie keep the most relevant info at the top I’d stay again.

Nothing wrong with where we stayed however the breakfast arrangements with the coffee shop below the rooms is not that great. Breakfast cafe opens at 9am and we found this to be pretty late as we wake up quite early. The staff is late in opening the doors for breakfast - we had to wait until at least 9.05 for them to open. And on our second morning they refused to cook anything not even a bacon roll never mind a full Scottish breakfast . They said they only serve what was available on the counter and that wasn’t much choice which meant we had to choose between croissants and cakes.

Located adjacent to the Caledonian canal and river side in a beautiful location within walking distance to Loch Ness view point. There are shops and pubs within walking distance. The room was clean and the bunk beds were comfortable. It is not a hotel but more of a hostel and value for money for what they offered.

We were late for checkout by 15 minutes and the housekeeping lady was already inside the room before we moved out. :-D It gave a feeling that we were pushed out, though no complaints because we were a bit delayed in checkout. We didn't had breakfast there, but felt they were very costly.
