Fantastic location in the centre of Lorne, very convenient to have guest parking so close to everything in town. Staff were super friendly and efficient, we got drink vouchers on arrival and were kindly accommodated by bar staff, there was also security from 5pm onwards. Room was clean and freshly decorated, bed was comfortable, shutters on windows blocked light from car park. We dined at Totti's down stairs, before walking along the beach, we had a fantastic stay at the Lorne Hotel

We stayed on the 2nd of January so the town was very busy. Some fireworks were set off late in the evening but otherwise perfect location!

It’s really a nice place to test after driving a long time from Melbourne. The hotel is well situated and can easily be found when drive along the Great Ocean Road. Our family room is great with comfortable beds, nice views and complimentary water. Its restaurant is awesome with relaxing atmosphere and yummy food. What impressed us most is receiving email from hotel notifying us just a few hours after our early checkout that we left an Apple Watch in the room @@ thanks to their considerate and kind arrangement, we can get it back in our return journey. It’s really a good rest and relaxing place to spend a few nights! Highly recommended!!! Special thanks to Amanda and her team for great assistance and arrangement! It made up our day!

Great location. They have done a good job when they renovated the rooms. My room was quite spacious with a King bed. Bathroom excellent...nice high pressured hot water. Like all older buildings, everything probably can't be 100%. The floor boards under the carpet creaked which was a little annoying and one of the windows did not shut fully. However, they were minor things. The room and bathroom were spotless. Very quiet in the room.

The room I booked did specify a balcony which I didn't get. To be fussy the curtains on the windows needed a pelmet to block out the street light which was directly outside my room.

The room had a spectacular view of the beach, with a little balcony to enjoy it from. The room was spacious and comfortable with a sitting area. I loved that there were snacks and drinks stocked in the room! The staff were fantastic and it was so convenient having the hotel down stairs for food and drinks. The carark is easy to find and access from the car park to the rooms is straightforward (although up a flight of stairs). Would definitely stay here again. It was perfect for a family trip but would also be great for a romantic getaway.

Carpark was small and very tight. We were able to get a park, but it was the last one when we came back in the evening.

Great location and very clean fresh hotel

Very comfortable stay. Great location on the main strip which is convenient. Free parking at the rear. It's basic but had everything we needed.

We had a room at the rear facing the car park. There was an outdoor light on the other side that was a bit bright at night. Also, a couple of the power points didn't work and you couldn't open the windows properly without lodging something under it so it didn't close. The cleaners used the bins to lodge them open when cleaning.

The room and facilities were good for a short stay as ours was. The eating and drinking facilities and menu options at the hotel were very good with large and comfortable outdoor and and indoor areas.

There is no lift access to the accommodation on the upper floor. The hotel staff did however help us lifting suitcases up the stairs on arrival. We had to move the suitcases downstairs ourselves on departure, which is not ideal for travellers in their 60's and 70's as we are.

The location of the hotel is great, and it comes with free parking, which is fabulous. The room itself was large and spacious, although it was on the "older" side. Which means the room had character instead of being brand spanking new boutique type. It definitely has a "family run" vibe to it.

There was some issues that couldn't be addressed at night because there's no one manning the night desk. But ti was nothing major, and everything was taken care of the next day.

Tiffany was so lovely on check in. Few stairs to manage all your luggage up. Room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was very clean, spacious and new. Beds were very comfortable and bathroom amenities were nice. Free drink tokens on check in. Very comfortable.

Walls seemed very thin, could hear the conversation next door whilst in bed. Sometimes felt like the whole floor was shaking with footsteps and movement.

We had a family room ( think it was the only room left when booking) and glad we did, it was very spacious. Gorgeous big bathroom, with gorgeous toiletries, very comfortable bed, and had a beautiful meal in the bistro, really couldn't fault our stay! At a push, a vanity cabinet in the bathroom would be great and I suppose it can't be helped if the neighbours are noisy 😉 The location is stunning, and the coastal walks are beautiful! A really lovely little town well worth a visit!

Struggled to find something close by for breakfast, don't think the hotel restaurants provide this!
