First of all, I can tell that the building is a well-constructed apartment operated as a hotel. The rooms are furnished with tasteful furniture, which shows the hospitality of the owner. The kitchen is equipped with all dishes, utensils, and appliances, so I was able to enjoy cooking. It is as if you are living in Mombasa, but the Indian Ocean that fills the windows of both the living room and bedroom gives you an extraordinary feeling. I spent all day looking at that beautiful sea. There is a small beach in front of the hotel, and as I looked out from my balcony in the morning, I saw dogs owned by the hotel walking and swimming in the ocean. When I was at a poolside, one of them came up to me. The dog was very friendly, but it did not disturb me as I swam and watched me from the side. Such interaction was very heart warming, and there are many private experiences here, which you can't get in a regular hotel.

I started off as a stranger and left as a friend - this is the perfect description! Property was exceptional and amazing - definitely "Home away from Home" and meets Western standards - sometimes I forgot I was in Mombasa. The view was breath-taking - just like described on the photos in booking.com. Was more than thankful to be introduced to Abel - the taxi driver who picked me up from the airport and ended up being my personal driver during the entire stay (I was happy to not have had to look for alternative transport as I needed to cover a lot of ground in afew days with a good driver to navigate the crazy traffic, a reliable person and a driver I felt safe being around with all day.) Very personable staff at the residence ranging from the owner (KD - was fantastic, funny, personable and full of ideas) - the guards who were more than accommodating, househelp and last but not least Mercy whose cooking was above & beyond. I tried all the dishes and more than appreciated the fact that breakfast was brought to the apartment (I still miss those Mahamris). Will definitely return! The space was perfect and more than met my needs - it was sort of a "private working holiday" and I appreciated the peace & quiet. Also, the place is very secure - since I was on a solo trip this time around, safety was even more important. The labrador family was adorable - I wished I could take one of those beautiful puppies back with me. Thanks again for a lovely place to stay!!

Not the fault of the property - but that I didn't get the chance to explore the beach as I was super busy with my private projects. Just an awareness though: to plan shower time accordingly as you need to turn on the boiler afew minutes before and then let the water run through the taps for another few minutes. Also for awareness of the switch over from Solar & Electricity in the morning and evening afew minutes without light can be scary for those not used to any blackout of sorts. Wifi was overall good, but abit unstable at times - but worked overall. Regardless... these are not show-stoppers; for sure a place to stay and I'll be back next time.

We had a wonderful week at English Point Residence. The apartment was very spacious and the view just amazing. Mercy, the chef, made a delicious breakfast that we are already missing. The best part about this place are the people there - always friendly and helpful and we felt secure the whole time. Last but not least did our kids enjoy playing with the little puppies. They loved playing with the dogs and did that all the time.

Everything is perfect here - attentive host, clean and modern facilities, stunning ocean views, wonderful food, conveniently located, beautifully furnished apartment, A/C in bedrooms, a balcony we never wanted to leave, and wonderful recommendations for a driver and activities. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay for our family of five. The three bedroom apartment overlooking the ocean offered numerous expansive views - indoor and outdoor - of the ocean and coastline. KD, the host, was easy to coordinate with from start to finish. We planned a last minute trip to Mombasa with a limited window of time to explore the city. KD made sure we had a reliable driver who also helped to arrange a city tour that went far beyond our expectations. The location is safe and quiet despite being so centrally located. We were able to arrive by train and depart by air without any hassles. The residence is extremely secure with strong doors and windows while also feeling very open and airy. We were able to enjoy privacy in a spacious apartment at a boutique residence while also having breakfast included and other meals available upon request. Mercy is a fabulous chef and miraculously produced a wonderful dinner after an exhausting day of sightseeing. WiFi worked perfectly throughout our stay, especially with the extender. Our residence was cleaned daily and was spotless. The bedding and towels were wonderful. The area was quiet at night with the ocean as the only sound. We all wanted to stay longer at the residence to relax and enjoy the view. The resident dogs are adorable. We felt that we were visiting friends in a truly unique and welcoming environment. Thank you KD for a wonderful trip! We look forward to returning soon.

Staying at the English Point Residence apartments was sheer pleasure. The staff was very attentive and saw to it that every detail was taken care of. The unit was absolutely beautiful, and the view breathtaking. Guests have a choice to have breakfast prepared, brought to you and served on the balcony while enjoying the lovely view. Our host was very knowledgeable about services and nearby businesses that we definitely appreciated, especially restaurants, available tours, shopping and sightseeing. I especially appreciated the availability of drivers to get us where we needed to go. Everything we needed was available in the unit or just a phone call away. I would definitely recommend English Point Residence!

We loved English Point Residence!All the staff (special shout out to Magdalena, Caroline and Ryan) and KD were great! KD was very responsive to messages and always available in case we needed anything. The location is perfect, it’s a three minute walk from the beach and a 10 minute cab ride to town center. The place is beautiful, with a huge balcony, you have a perfect ocean view, the apartment is very spacious, the sleeping rooms are all super nice (with the ocean view!), the kitchen is fully equipped. They provide water for your stay and milk on the first day which came in handy for our toddler! We loved the (authentic Swahili) breakfast, appreciated the peace and quiet, as well as the safety in and around the property. Our 3 year old kid loved to play with the dogs and thoroughly enjoyed the pool! I highly recommend this property and will definitely be our to-go to spot in Mombasa!

The size of the apartment was shockingly huge, and the view from the master bedroom and balcony was breathtaking. The entire premise was immaculate, I have been to many hotels over the years, but I didn't go inside the pool, I couldn't resist this pool, and I am a happier person because I succumbed to it's allure. Special praise must be given to Magdalena and Silas for making me feel like royalty. There are so many wonderful things I could say about the property, but the staff outshines everything and was the surprising highlight of my stay. It's obvious long before you get to the property that this residence aims to please and will prioritize you. I was asked questions so that they could tailor their services to address my unique requirements. I will end my review by giving a shout-out to KD, It was a pleasure meeting and chatting with you. It's not often that an owner reaches out to guests to ensure that they are being taken care of, documents whatever minor suggestion/s given, and then do follow-ups, which was very reassuring.

Absolutely spacious appartement with great view on the ocean/bay. For the 6 of us (younger and elder children/adults) it was absolutely perfect. The owner himself provided us with very helpful and good advice for our days in Kenya to follow the first stay at Mombasa. We got good breakfast served in our appartement by friendly personal. A taxi tour at Mombasa was organized as well as an airport transfer would have been available. We can recommend the English point residence without any restrictions.

Beautiful appartement in English Point. Very clean, very quiet, great lap pool, and a beautiful view on the Indian Ocean and the island of Mombasa. We also had great breakfasts from the on-site chef that we enjoyed on our balcony. You will need transportation toʻ move around and the owner RD and his staff are very gracious and can help with that. We had dinner our first night at the nearby English Point Marina (10 min walk) and visited friends on our second day . Altogether, a great and peaceful stay!

I recently stayed at the English Point Residence, and I cannot speak highly enough about its incredible location. Nestled right on the beachfront, the apartment offers breathtaking views of the ocean from nearly every room. Waking up to the sound of waves crashing was truly a dream come true! Additionally, the apartment is conveniently located just a short walk from a variety of restaurants. Whether you’re in the mood for fresh seafood or a cozy café, everything is just minutes away. The landlord provided excellent recommendations for nearby restaurants and activities, making it easy to immerse myself in the local culture. If you're looking for a apartment that combines comfort with an unbeatable location, the English Point Residence is the perfect spot. I would highly recommend it for both relaxation and adventure!
