The front desk gentleman John was very accommodating and upgraded us for our anniversary, so unexpected and very nice. Our room with a view was outstanding. The bed and pillows were perfect, I haven't slept so good in years. Very clean resort, all the staff were very friendly. The pool accommodations were also nice. Our only disappointment was that the alcohol specialty drinks on their drink menu, (from the pool bar) were not good. We tried multiple ones hoping it would be better than the last, and they were not. Disappointed when they were 15 dollars each. We will definitely come back and bring our adult children we loved the area, and the resort. Thank you for the memories!

Alcohol drinks could be better

The location is absolutely perfect — right on the beach with breathtaking views and easy access to the sand and ocean. We loved how peaceful and relaxing the surroundings felt, yet we were still close enough to explore local attractions and restaurants. The on-site restaurant was a highlight of our stay! Delicious food, beautiful presentation, and a great variety of options. Whether we were enjoying breakfast with a view or dinner at sunset, every meal was a wonderful experience. The staff was attentive and made us feel truly welcomed. We couldn’t have asked for a better setting — both the location and dining exceeded our expectations.

Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like. Everything exceeded our expectations — from the cleanliness and comfort of the room to the friendly service and beautiful amenities. It was a truly flawless experience from start to finish.

Stayed in beach front room in tower with superb views of the sea with a large balcony. The size is great for two people and includes a large fridge and kitchenette. Beach is spacious and long with very white sand. Two pools with one for adults only which suited us well. Good Tiki bar poolside serving light bites as well as cocktails.

Being picky now. The kitchen cupboards are difficult to access with the breakfast bar restricting access. The dishwasher was not necessary for the breakfast crockery.

The location right on the beach was fabulous. It was a pleasure walking right out onto the beach and having a chair and umbrella set up for us to watch the sunset. The food in the restaurant, café, and tiki bar was all of excellent quality, expensive but worth it. All furnishings in the common areas were comfortable. And I love it that they are pet friendly so we could bring our beloved Pomeranian, Teddy. We also drove into Sarasota and visited Selby Botanical Gardens, a treat for lovers of foliage and flowers.

Minor maintenance issues: the overhead fan light in the room was burned out, the AC from the second floor dripped on your head when you walked around. The mosquito problem was bad--I understand that the hurricane 2 years ago destroyed the drainage on the beaches in the area, but BT dunks or shakes in the standing water after each rainstorm could prevent guests from being eaten alive.

Room was spacious with comfortable bed, shower was great, roomy with great water pressure and hot water. The adult pool and separate family pool was perfect. The 2 hot tubs were great. Close access to beach out front was amazing with comfortable lounge chairs and huge umbrellas. We loved everything about the resort and the best part is you can text the front desk for any needs or concerns. ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!!! Our rental car had a low tire and the front desk was so happy to help us air it up. This place is the PERFECT place to stay at Lido Beach.

This place was perfect for my 10-year-old son and I. It is very family friendly. There are two restaurants on site that offer a variety. I always could find what I was looking for. There was also a grab and go Cafe in the lobby They had free ice cream at the pool, which my son loved. This hotel is on a wonderful part of the beach that is not too crowded and very beautiful. I like that there were two showers to rinse off when you come back from the beach, and there were water stations in several places so we could stay hydrated. There were plenty of towels, they never run out. The room itself was a little dated, but we didn’t mind at all. I wasn’t looking for the Ritz Carlton. This is exactly what I was looking for. It had a small kitchenette, comfortable beds, air, conditioner, TV, all the creature comforts. I would definitely stay here again. It was just perfect for my son and I. I also loved that it was within walking distance to Saint Armand Circle. I would say it was a mile or less, but it was a beautiful walk and you can do most of it on the beach.

I did have to double check my bill, I accidentally got charged for something I did not buy. Just a good rule of thumb to double check when you go to places that let you charge meals and drinks, etc. to your room. They were very good about getting back to me and getting it fixed. They took it off my bill not really a complaint, just a reminder to doublecheck. I think it was overpriced by about $50-75, in comparison to many other places that I have stayed at that are similar. But the location was amazing.

Lido Beach Resort checked all of our boxes for the perfect family beach vacation! We loved how family-friendly and accessible everything was. All food we had was delicious, the room met our needs, the pool was great entertainment for the kids, and every staff member we encountered was exceptionally kind and helpful. We also still felt very close to additional fun places to visit such as St. Armands Circle, Mote Aquarium, and other attractions in the Sarasota area.

I wouldn't say this was a thing we "didn't like" so much as an opportunity to be more helpful to guests moving forward. We were not made aware prior to our first time using the pool that there was a policy (whether actually written or not) that families could basically stake out lounge chairs with towels and leave them for extended periods of time before actually using them. We sat on ones that looked unused (no personal belongings) and then the pool staff politely asked us to move. We are generally rule followers so would have appreciated the rule being communicated better either at check-in or through signage!

Hotel staff were so helpful and friendly, it was run very efficiently and our comfort and needs were being checked via text every day and also by staff members. If we needed something it was seen to right away. The 3 choices of eating places were at set at different menu and price points which was great plus and you are literally a 10-15 minute walk from St Armand’s for even more choices. The white sand beach is beautiful and clean with plenty of gorgeous shells to hunt for. I will definitely go back.

The biggest issue for me was that there was no way of locking the room once inside like a security bar. If I was traveling alone that would have been a real problem for me as the parking lot had access to the rooms, think motel style! That needs to be changed! The Nespresso coffee is dreadful, I don’t understand the hype but that was the machine in our room, take my advice and go down to the reception opens at 7am much better coffee and refillable. They provide tea but no kettle being English we found that strange. I am very faired skin and a $15 + tip a day for beach umbrella was disappointing as we were already paying a $40 a day resort fee.

The view from our room was better than expected—although advertised as a partial beach view, we could see the ocean right from our window. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free. One of the highlights was the thoughtful surprise from the staff—a beautiful card and a bottle of prosecco to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. It was such a memorable and fun moment when we returned to the room and found the gift waiting for us. Another huge plus was the on-site EV charging station. It was incredibly helpful to fully charge our car and ready for our road trip home the next day. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend this hotel!"

"While we enjoyed our stay overall, a couple of things could have been better. There was only one working elevator, and it was quite small. Being on the 4th floor, we waited a while, especially when carrying luggage or our beach wagon, which made it a bit inconvenient. Another downside was the prices at the poolside tiki bar. Both the food and drinks were quite expensive, which was disappointing given the otherwise enjoyable amenities at the hotel."

The suite was absolutely lovely. The bedding, towels and accessories were top notch...the view lovely. Decor was tasteful..Over all expeirience in Room 1403 was 10+. Front desk staff...Chase and Kara were very accomodating, pleasant and polite and as a former hotel employee myself, I comend them on their professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile to make this weekend stay absolutely perfect!

I would be struggling to find an answer to that! I think everything was well appointed and met our expectations. Poll staff were very friendly and slways there for drinks and food service. Towel service was nice and the location to the beach is just perfect.
