Check in staff was friendly and helpful. Retro designed yet clean and spacious room. Nice water pressure, plenty of clean towels and pillows. Small fridge and Keurig with coffee selection in the room was a nice touch. Several outdoor gathering areas with gas fire tables in a garden-like setting were enjoyed. Location was wonderful and within walking distance to most restaurants and shopping.

Mattress in Room 13 was uncomfortable and lumpy so it didn't provide a good night sleep. Next door guests could easily be heard through the walls. Window coverings were sheer drapes and a roller shade which did not block outdoor lighting coming into the room.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin as it was so quaint and comfortable with a full kitchen, living space with a stone gas fireplace and loft bedroom! It was within walking distance of great restaurants and all of the shopping! We will definitely book another stay there!

The bed mattress was a bit hard for us, but the manager went out of her way and brought us multiple blankets to help us! She was amazing to work with and so helpful!

The location was amazing! 2 minute walk into downtown Blowing Rock, literally around the corner from Mellow Mushroom and The Speckled Trout. Walked to dinner, had ice cream next to our restaurant and enjoyed my coffee on the walk back! Also the grounds around the inn were lovely to walk around as well!

No big red flags here, location was great, and the room was clean! Were the walls thins? Yep. Could I hear the shower from the room next door? Yep. But it's got vintage decor vibes to match the old school construction.

Amazing location (a quick walk to downtown Blowing Rock), rooms were clean and comfortable. The gardens and outdoor spaces were so relaxing and comfortable - lets you enjoy the beautiful scenery. The staff were very friendly and attentive. A great place to stay if you are visiting Blowing Rock.

No indoor common spaces other than your room, so you have to make do with the outdoor common areas, but they do have firepits to keep you warm.

convenient location for walking into the main part of town. Very quaint and attractive — not a modern “chain” owned property. The rooms were nicely decorated in a “homey” style. People who want a modern (sterile) style room and property may not like this inn, but this place was one of the most comfortable and nostalgic places we’ve stayed.

The hotel is charming but in desperate need of new bedding, pillows and room decor. Not only outdated but doesn’t look clean. Too few electrical plugs and no USB ports . Just a simple continental breakfast would be nice. Most of the restaurants don’t open early even for breakfast.

The location and the grounds/landscaping could not be any better. It is such a beautiful spot and so very close to downtown. You can park your car and not have to use it. Coffee in the garden by the office was a nice bonus. Also had coffee in the room.

The room was a little dated. Would be nice if the doors had newer technology to automatically lock.

The hotel is located immediately downtown. Blowing Rock is absolutely the best landscaped city in the US. The hotel is an old style hotel. It is clean and furnished with older furniture. The garden within the hotel was one of the best I have ever seen.

No breakfast is included, but that left us looking for breakfast elsewhere, which was wonderful!!

The grounds are gorgeous with the bounty of colorful plants and flowers. We enjoyed the gazebo and fire table for relaxing at night. The proximity to walking to downtown shops and restaurants is a definite plus!

While the rooms offer a feeling of nostalgia to the yesteryears, I would definitely appreciate hardwood floors versus the carpet.

Quiet retro motel with gardens and outdoor seating areas for relaxation. Walking to restaurants and shops. Large room, clean, staff very helpful.

Nice balance traditional and modern - could use a carpet update.
