The house was absolutely stunning, and the welcoming basket filled with high-quality local products in the kitchen was such a thoughtful touch. Stayed 3 nights in the Figtree Villa. Contactless check in suited us. The villa was modern and perfectly appointed. The complimentary platters were a beautiful and welcoming surprise as we weren’t sure if they were included after viewing the website. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional with enough included for two full breakfasts. The ambience with the log fireplace, the private heated large hot tub spar on the deck and the most gorgeous enormous Figtree only a few meters from the deck and lit up at night made for the perfect setting to relax and unwind from the stresses of everyday life. We were seeking a private , secluded and relaxing break and JanDar delivered completely. Have already recommended to family and friends. Thank you JanDar.

A little road noise on the Monday we were there but didn’t detract from the overall experience.

Everything 😊 set in a quiet location surrounded by nature and trees, makes it a peaceful & idyllic stay for solo travellers or a couple. Beautiful decor, warm, cosy and comfortable place. Loved the fireplace and spa pool! (Jacuzzi) The freshly store bought bread with handmade jams and the small basket of breakfast food provided was a lovely extra touch to our stay.

If the bathroom door wasn’t closed at night, the light from the window would be peeking into the bedroom making hard to sleep, if you didn’t have a sleeping mask with you.

The location was great and the gorgeous fig tree out the back was amazing. We liked that the place felt like a home away from home and that it was relaxing. The place was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. The best part was that it was pet friendly! Our fur baby had a blast!

The TVs weren't smart tvs. Netflix was the only streaming service available. The shower head hose could have been better. Water was spraying out of the hose rather than the actual shower head and water was going everywhere. The bath mat could have been bigger. Didn't like that there was no dish rack and very little dishwashing liquid. There was no hand wash provided.

Amazing location, perfect service and such a beautiful retreat! The complimentary meals were an incredible touch and the rooms were just pure bliss. Will definitely be coming back with my partner!

Everything was perfect nothing to dislike at all.

The African Village was wonderful. We took our puppy with us for the weekend and he had plenty of space. The room was spacious and private, with a balcony looking out over the yard and ancient fig trees. It was delightfully quiet even though there were other people in residence. We drove up to the head office each morning for a lovely breakfast on the deck and lived that we could take our puppy too. It was a very inclusive break away. We loved it.

It was a little bit out of town but not really too big an issue, we just drove up to town and parked and walked.

Our heater wasn't working, we rang to let them know, 45 minutes later they were there to fix it, we didn't expect them to do that so quickly. It was comfortable and clean.

Only 2 English breakfast tea bags in the tea caddy, more choices of other ones herbal etc..good coffee pods and machine tho. A booklet or something with information on where to eat, take away etc would have been useful too.

what can I say, this place was excellent! clean, comfortable, warm, quite, modern, well maintained. I loved the few little extra touches such as the free bottle of local wine and the free local coffee. also breakfast and coffee were included at the hotel owned by them down the road. unfortunately I couldn’t take advantage of this as I was there for work purposes and had to be at work in palm woods by 8am

a little far out of town and way overpriced but that seems to be the case for everything these days…..I suppose you get what you pay for. also can I request that breakfast start from 07.30 or maybe supplies are left in your room?

Spacious villa, clean and cozy. Short drive from town.

We could not sort out the hot water. We found the actual hot water isolated switch inside the main bedroom closet just before checking out. It would be great if you could provide instructions and/or other important details in an email or village info sheet. Another suggestion would be to mark the parking spaces in the parking bay. We did not receive the email with instructions on how and where to find the key and other checking in details until we were in the in the property.
