I have stayed here three times. I like that it is a reasonably-priced family run hotel. The pool is great in the hot weather. I love the bright exteriour colours and and the overall "character" of the hotel. Rooms and bathroom were great, and aircon modern and works well. Good location. 10 minute walk to restaurants and tourist district and famous church mosaics. Safe neighbourhood. I like the top floor breakfast facilities -- the view, and the poolside restaurant. Also about a 30 minute drive to the airport. The hotel can arrange a taxi for a fair price. Staff very helful and made sure I was wakened for an early morning flight. As well, they can arrange transport to tourist attractions throughout Jordan. I love this place and will happily stay there again.

Hotel Mariam in Madaba, Jordan, is a hidden gem that combines comfort, hospitality, and a prime location, making it a fantastic choice to explore this historic region. The hotel has a warm, inviting atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of Jordanian hospitality you feel welcomed the moment you walk through the door. My kids enjoyed the outdoor pool! Also it os recommend to sit next to the pooll area that provides a tranquil setting for relaxation after a day of sightseeing and order dinner or lunch it is very delicious!!

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, which exceeded my expectations despite my only one-night stay. While it has a classic and somewhat outdated design, it was clean, tidy, and peaceful. The breakfast was enjoyable, and the sausage was the highlight. Convenient parking is available right in front of the hotel. The staff were friendly, and the neighborhood was quiet.

It was freezing outside, although the hotel provided an extra thick blanket. The room heater did not work, and no one was available to help us carry our luggage.

The location of this hotel is good on a quiet street but only a short walk into town. The rooms are clean and comfortable with decent hot shower, kettle. There's a nice swimming pool. Staff are very friendly and helpful they can arrange taxis to anywhere and it's not far from the airport so a good choice when arriving or leaving. Madaba itself is worth staying a few days. Breakfast is served on the rooftop with a decent choice and in the evening there's food in the downstairs restaurant. Great value too.

The pool is lovely after a hot day of exploring Madaba. The location was good, close enough to explore Madaba on foot. Also there are a number of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. A nice change is that it's possible to buy alcohol at the pool bar. There are also a number of liquor stores in the same street as the hotel. This is the place to stock up on beers as most of the accomodation options around Jordan do not sell alcohol, but do allow you to bring your own to drink around the pool. Breakfast was served on the rooptop. Good selection available.

Really nice hotel - much better than it looks in the pictures. We had spacious (triple) room overlooking the front. Nicer rooms are overlooking the pool but maybe they're smaller? Also book up fast. Really friendly and helpful hardworking staff. Lovely pool area for relaxing after long day, nice bar and (limited) bar snacks. Spacious reception area for sitting and reading in the evening. Good breakfast, served till 10.30am, on the roof terrace. Easy walking distance to centre of Madaba (via local shops) and also easy to supermarket and ATM/banks - 1 block away. Free parking on site. Highly recommended

It's used by small tour groups so can get quite busy. Lots of one-night stays. And breakfast is pre-cooked - not always fresh

A pleasant European-style hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean, the bathroom has a bathtub but with good water pressure and hot water. Comfortable beds. The hotel served alcohol at reasonable prices despite Ramadan. A typical dinner in the restaurant was for a low price and very tasty - definitely try it! Breakfast in the rooftop restaurant was the best we had in Jordan (better than in 4* hotels) with a large selection and good quality. Wifi was OK. Parking at the hotel without problems, the distance to the center is 10 minutes on foot. There is nothing to complain about the hotel and I would stay again.

The staff spoke good English. The room was clean & comfortable. Good air conditioning & free a bottle water dispenser available on every floor. The breakfast buffet was of good quality with a good variety of food choices available. The pool area was clean & spacious. The bar at the pool accepted credit card payments.

There was no fridge in my room. The shower was bit small & the TV only seem to have one local channel. The free Wifi was occasionally a little bit slow.

conveniently located, walking distance to downtown area, many cafes, shops (Madaba mall is about a five minute walk) and St George’s (Church of the Map). Property well maintained, nice swimming pool, and restaurant offers a very reasonable evening dinner (our first night we had chicken tagine for 8.50jd, generous portions, they also serve beer and wine). Our room had a very comfortable bed and extra pillows, clean bathroom and a small balcony. Staff was very welcoming and helpful when we needed to get some laundry taken care of. A breakfast buffet, served at their rooftop terrace with wonderful views of the city, many options (eggs, sausage, beans, hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, several kinds of bread, jams, pancakes, yogurt, coffee, tea, juice - we stayed three days and we could always put together different dishes and not feel like we were eating the same thing) On our second day we enjoyed lunch at Ayola Cafe which had been recommended by another guest on a previous review on booking. It was a good hotel to be based out of to visit mount Nebo, Ma’in hot springs and other places around the area

Nice budget hotel, we stayed here as part of an Intrepid Tour and then stayed an additional night. Good buffet breakfast and nice swimming pool and lounge facilities. The reception area and ground floor look like they were recently renovated, but the rooms were a bit tired and the bath/shower was very tight and difficult to get in and out of- something to consider if you have any mobility issues. The housekeeping team was very friendly and kept the rooms clean. The reception staff was very helpful with arranging an airport transfer and answering our questions. We would stay here again if we ever return to Madaba.

Jordan is such a water-poor country that I would have preferred not to have all our towels collected and washed every day. Maybe the hotel could add signage to the rooms to say only towels left on the floor will be replaced and those on the rails will be left. I don't wash my towels at home every day, and I felt bad about the water being used to wash them here.
