The authentic charm, quirkiness, cleanliness and comfort. You truly feel like you have fallen into a gentle Arabic inspired home. The host Sam is so welcoming and carried our luggage up the spiral staircase. I am not the greatest with stairs and usually avoid them. However I am very pleased to say that the stairs are a massive part of the charm and relatively easy on the knees for those of us that are getting on. Restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. The community kitchen is well suited for light meals and breakfast, beautiful area outside that’s looks over the historic Fortress wall to have breakfast. Shower piping hot and great pressure.

We loved everything about Boabdil Guesthouse! We hated to leave! It was such a perfect place for us to stay and is a beautiful, unique lodging that has being lovingly created and cared for by Sam and his family. We stayed 2 nights in the "family" room and it was perfect for us, with a giant king bed and bunk beds for our teen girls. There was plenty of space for all of us and our stuff. The water was hot and had great pressure which is always nice. Our first morning we had breakfast in the hotel and Sam provided a really nice assortment of things to eat and drink. If you're staying, do yourself a favor and have breakfast at Boabdil instead of trying to find a good breakfast in town. Also, make sure you go up on the terraza and enjoy the view of the old walls behind Boabdil. We very much enjoyed talking to Sam - he is a very interesting and kind person, and a spectacular host. If we ever return to Ronda (I hope) we will definitely plan to stay at Boabdil, without a doubt. Thank you for making our stay in Ronda SO memorable Sam! You have friends in Florida if you ever want to bring your family! ¡Sinceramente!
Ok, this is not to complaint but to advise... Boabdil can be challenging to find! It is important to know that it is permissible to drive through the Almocábar gate, which will take you right in front of the guesthouse on Espíritu Santo. It’s very narrow and one way, but it is fun to drive thru. Then once you have dropped your bags, Sam can show you where the free parking lot is (off the circle outside the gate, sharply to the right and downhill). Also if you do want breakfast be sure to note it when you make the reservation and tell Sam when you check in. Everything is fresh so if you tell him the night before he will not be able to do it.

The location was at the other end of the old town, by the gate. Thus it was quiet and away from the buzz and crush of tourists. Best nights of sleep ever! The interior was colorful and calm and exceptionally well designed . Guests also had access to a terrace. Nice dining area and generous breakfast. The owner/host was an exceptional man with an aptitude for connecting and anticipating the needs of his guests. Such warmth is rare. Was a place I would recommend to others and happily return to.
I enjoyed it all.

Booked this accommodation based on a effusive blog recommendation and was just as pleased with this Moroccan influenced property as the blog’s author! Our spacious room had plenty of storage, a bright, clean bathroom, and a lovely balcony. We took advantage of the shared kitchen space to wash and refill water bottles and make coffee in the morning. We are not big breakfast eaters so didn’t purchase the optional meal but another guest’s morning service looked wonderful. Parking was located a short distance away just outside the city wall. We walked to the local attractions and there were ample dining options conveniently located. The drive through the mountains from Gibraltar to Ronda was nothing short of spectacular! A definite must do. Boabdil Guesthouse is a very pleasant endpoint for the day’s adventures.

Very good location in the old part of Ronda. Everything can be reached by foot. Free parking 3 min walk at the Placa Ruedo Almeda, which also has some good restaurants and a great playground. Beautifully designed little guesthouse. Nice furniture, nice colours, everything is chosen very thoughtful. Soft linen and comfortable beds. Roof terrasse with views. Amazing breakfast for 5€! very nice host Sam. Highly recommended, I would stay there again. Rondas magic is best to be discovered late afternoon/sunset time, when all the busses have disappeared. Hectic and too crowded mornings/midday.

This was one of the best places I ever stayed at: though a guesthouse per definition it had the feeling of a carefully designed and decorated boutique hotel. Everything was sparkling clean and in perfect working condition; it almost looked new. The room was tastefully furbished, had an aircon and a hairdryer. There was a little terrace in front with 2 chairs and a table. From there you could look over the old city wall and be sheltered from the wind. In the common area there was a kettle provided. Breakfast was available (€5 per person) and nicely arranged. It was possible to buy beer and wine and use the kitchen’s glasses. Sam, who was in charge, allowed to drop my stuff in my room though I was much too early for check in. He was very friendly, funny and helpful and spoke excellent English. I definitely want to come back and explore more of Ronda’s surroundings and to enjoy this beautiful guesthouse.

We were looking for an overnight stay while coming from the mountains and we loved our stay there! Clean and warm apartment with a pretty view (Room D), and a cute little balcony, located behind the historical walls of Ronda. Breakfast was simple yet fulfilling, and overall a good value for the price. The only issue was parking as some reviews mention, but there is not much that can be done about. It was quite a challenge to find a spot in the square nearby (we arrived Sunday afternoon, not the best time...), we were driving at least five times around to find our luck. Consider paid parking in the garages in the center if you want to avoid this hustle, otherwise avoid yellow lines, and good luck!

I paid a bit extra for a suit with a balcony which was worth it as I had a great view. The room was large and very authentic with very nice furniture and fittings. The bed was very comfortable with good pillows and clean white sheets. Good sized bathroom with clean white towels. Sam the host was helpful and informative and his English was good. I would stay here again.
It is a little bit of a walk into the main square but maybe only 10 minutes.

The room was very attractive and comfortable. There is a shared kitchen/eating area for storing refrigerated food and making hot drinks (not for cooking). A friendly manager is on duty all day. He gave us good advice on a route for our next day's travel.
It was a bit of a walk across the bridge to the main tourist sites, but the Guesthouse was in a quieter area. Our room did not have any view, however, other rooms did.

It was simple, clean and thoughtfully decorated. Even the way the electrical for the A/C was installed was restrained and careful. The well chosen tapestries were not overdone. I loved the moorish ceiling lights and wall sconces. The sheets were quite simply the best cotton I have slept in. 1200 count? Everything worked beautifully. The gentleman who managed our stay was cheerful and professional. Breakfast was fresh and simple: fruit, bread, yogurt, coffee, and a boiled egg to send us on our way.
