Sehome Garden Inn is absolutely beautiful! We stayed in a small suite at the back of the house. It was made up of a living room, small dining area and a small refrigerator, kettle and microwave. There were beautiful dishes available and cold water in beautiful bottles in the fridge. The bathroom shower is luxurious with a rain shower head and beautiful tile. The towels are soft and fluffy. The bedroom is small but comfy with mid century modern style and so cute! Everywhere in the apartment you will find lovely design elements including Japanese art and wool Pendleton blankets. The bed in the living room is a pull out sofa that is probably a double bed not a queen size. The house is on an acre of lovely garden that you are welcome to walk around in. There are Japanese arelia flanking the door, several different bamboo species, and a couple huge gorgeous Madrona trees at the entrance gate. I had fun identifying some of the different conifers scattered around the property. We were served breakfast in our suite both mornings, with homemade jam and fresh squeezed orange juice, and the hosts are amazing!! Everything was gluten free too, which was a wonderful surprise because I have celiac disease and I hadn’t even mentioned that on booking.

Everything was excellent. We loved this place although the other guests and hosts unfortunately were awakened by us being quite loud on one of the nights after coming back from a concert. So sorry!! We didn’t realize how loud we were being and how much it carried. So if you stay here just be cognizant of your noise level. Probably not the most appropriate for a loud bunch of girls. Thank you to the hosts for still being kind and gracious in spite of the one loud night.

Walter and Joseph were THE MOST gracious hosts. They have curated a delightful dog-friendly place in Sehome, a historic district in Bellingham, and have literally thought of everything you might need. Extra robes in all sizes, extra touches in the bathroom vanity like razor and scissors, outdoor jackets borrow for a rainy day walk through the nearby park, Breakfast was included and it was delicious and I now dream of gluten-free drop biscuits I can only get out their kitchen! The yard itself is a wonder to explore and everything to sit or lie on was super comfortable. We will be back!

Serene… it was architecturally beautiful, the gardens were peaceful, and it’s was easy to get to in an area of local historic interest. Two dogs and a cat made it feel like you were part of the family. And Joseph and Walter couldn’t have been more helpful. Every detail in the room had been carefully considered. The breakfast included home made jam and drop biscuits which tasted fantastic.

Only one thing would make it even better … a full length mirror in the upstairs bedroom.

Breakfast was perfect! Host are friendly and accommodating plus pups are bonus and Winston adds the touch of catelagance. This was a magical place for us to enjoy our anniversary and friends. I actually enjoyed our morning alone together in the garden immensely. Thank you Sehome Garden Inn! Highly recommend!

Absolutely nothing! The bed slept well! The shower is awesome. The room is beautiful. We could never ask for more. Would not change a anything, our Host were wonderful.

The hospitality offered by Walter, Joseph and their greeting committee (two chocolate labs and the friendliest inn cat you'll ever meet), was impeccable. Their thoughtfulness was on display at every turn, from amenities in the bathroom to a veritable menu of pillow options. Breakfast is tasty, fresh, and generous, with care taken to accommodate common allergies and dietary preferences (dairy-free, gluten-free, plant-based, etc, all available). When it comes to bed and breakfast, they offered all I could hope for: a VERY comfortable bed, a delicious and nutritious breakfast, welcoming hosts, all in a picture-perfect setting. We will, most definitely, be back.

Lovely location, gardens delightful, warm welcome from Walter to “a real home from home”. Great room with 3 windows overlooking gardens, spotlessly clean and bathroom perfectly designed with every amenity. Tea and kettle in room with robes . Bed very comfortable giving a great sleep and tasty home made breakfast With great coffee which is rare in this price range or any price range in the US. Also given excellent recommendation for a walk and dinner downtown Bellingham.

Everything was SO clean! Our room was nicer than I expected: cozy sheets, lots of nice towels, soaps, dishware, free water. Location was perfect - 5 mins up the hill from downtown! The free breakfast in the morning was AMAZING (fresh GF biscuits, jam, yogurt, granola, fruit, eggs, coffee, fresh squeezed OJ!). The hosts were polite and very thoughtful. Their adorable dogs were there on the last day we were, the sweetest labs!

There was a gate to enter the property that you have to open manually. When you're driving in, it's easy to manage with two people but with just one person, it takes a bit of shuffling around. No AC but they do have a really nice fan - it was unusually warm weather when we were there.

Beautiful home, gardens, excellent breakfast, friendly hosts. Great location to the Alaska Ferry. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay here again.

We loved everything, but was different because it felt like an old style bed & breakfast. Wonderful, but we have a son with Autism and were worried about him being too loud as we were guests in the house where others resided. However, the hosts assured us that we were welcome. I just had a lot of worry over bothering the hosts. Our son can get loud and at 3 am will start singing loudly from the Shrek musical. He is an adult, so I am sure it could be disruptive.

I loved everything about Sehome Garden Inn. It was a gorgeous, comfortable, super clean, comfy, and safe place in a lovely area of Bellingham. The hosts are wonderful and kind. Breakfast was delicious. The bed was super comfortable. The shower was fantastic, strong, and it felt like a spa. The soap, shampoo & conditioner are all natural and ‘healthy’ products. They have a ‘real’ (big- normal sized handheld) hairdryer (not the tiny ones mounted to a wall in hotels/motels!) You can do laundry there too!!!!! A huge luxury when traveling (and doing lots of hiking). And they have two friendly dogs and a cat!

I wish I could have stayed longer!

Location was perfect for event. 2 miles away. breakfast met my needs..just what I needed for the morning. They have two sweet dogs and a nice friendly beautiful cat. (more like a " dog cat") Very quiet, I never heard other guests coming or going and I was there 4 nights. The bed was so comfortable and the king size down pillows heaven. I haven't slept this good for weeks. lots of TLC put into this property over the years. nice walking trail located next to this property in the Abrotanum park. Connects to the Western Univ. as well. Home made jams made from fruits in their garden.
