It's beautifully situated between mountains and I found the area outside in the early morning to be beautiful. My room was immaculate and housekeeping in my opinion deserves a raise. The bed was comfortable and the shower didn't run out of hot water quickly. The front desk staff are very friendly. During breakfast time, there was a very nice female employee who offered to make waffles to anyone who came in. The coffee isn't your regular run of the mill hotel coffee, it's Folgers. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available 24/7. There is a swimming pool though we didn't use it.

I honestly can't think of anything.

We love the location of this property relative to the Valley River Casino and the area restaurants and stores. The staff is awesome, the property well maintained, and the rooms are comfortable and clean.

The bed.....goodness, when you get in it you sink down in that one spot and pretty much stay there; for those that are accustomed to a firmer bed, be prepared. Not uncomfortable at all, just very soft. We think the breakfast could be upgraded slightly, possibly eggs and sausage; the waffle makers are a nice touch but some meat on the menu would be nice. These are not deal breakers as we would stay here any time again.

Stonebrook Lodge is new. I must say, this is the fanciest, cleanest motel I've ever stayed. The check-in lady was pleasant. The breakfast bar lady was courteous and eager to help. My family is mixed race. We felt like everyone was the same/equal. The location is only 1000 feet down the hill from Harrah's Cherokee Casino, which has a bowling alley and game room for the kids. And, the nightly cost was more than half the price of the casino rooms. Highly recommend Stonebrook Lodge.

My son said his mattress was a little hard. But, I prefer it for my back. Personal preference.

We loved this lodge and the convenience to the casino was great! This place immediately upon walk in smelled and looked great and we were welcomed with friendly smiles. The check in was a smooth process and we quickly were given our keys and off to the room which was clean and looked very nice. The beds were so comfy, I wish I could have took the bed home it was the best sleep I have had in a very long time. We had a spa room and the spa baths were very clean and you could smell the bleach from cleaning which is a huge bonus to know it is properly cleaned especially the jets. I love this place and I plan to come back in the future soon. I am hoping they make breakfast a little more pleasing and warm foods would be a great addition.

The only complaint I have is there is no hot breakfast options. You can choose from cereal, oatmeal you have to make, breads and muffin assortment, and yogurt. They do however have waffle makers. I just wish breakfast would have been warm foods.

Located just down the hill from the casino, it's a perfect location if you are going there. You may get people coming in and out all night but I never had any noise issues. Lady at the front desk was a sweetheart. We had a great long conversation and it was lovely. Clean rooms, breakfast is very basic. Great value compared to nearby hotels.

Mattress was on a slant due to usage. Needs a flip or replacement. Very creaky floors even on first floor.

The hotel is clean and well-maintained and the entire staff was friendly, fun, and helpful. The location was convenient and easy to find, and the Internet connection was (mostly) strong enough for me to work from the room all week. The bed was comfy (the mattress was a good balance of soft and firm) and the fridge and microwave came in handy during the week.

No sheer curtains on the windows. I was on the first floor and felt a bit exposed with the curtains open, but I wanted daylight. The rooms aren't very soundproof, so if you're a light sleeper (or hate hearing footsteps overhead) you may have issues sleeping. There was also a construction crew staying there (working at the casino up the road) the same week and they were super loud in the morning and evenings.

It was a great spot and within walking distance of what I wanted to do there. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was good :-)

I am not oblivious to where I am in the world, especially when I travel, and I understand the location of Murphy, NC - However, regardless of where I am on the political spectrum, I don't think it is in good taste to blast Fox News throughout the entire entrance and breakfast area (or any other news network - CNN, MSNBC, etc.). Why not sports, or a nature channel for the kids? We are surrounded by politics all the time - this was my break from the world and I ate breakfast in my room.

Absolutely exceeded our expectations. We just kept saying how happy we were staying there. Our time spent was 4 nights of complete comfort. The lobby had such a warm and cozy feeling, like home. The front desk staff were all kind and engaging... actually, very nice and funny, they could not have been more accommodating. The room was large and very well appointed. The wet bar was a Bonus, and gave lots of extra space for our needs. The bathroom was also large, we were never cramped when trying to use the sink and counter at the same time. We will definitely be back.

The staff was very friendly. Room and Lodge was very clean. Good location for Casino goers who don't want to pay casino prices for a room.

Overall the stay was great, the mattress was very uncomfortable. At first I thought it was just very soft. You kind of sink into it after you sit/lay. Then you realize there is no support to it. Would not recommend to someone who has lower back issues.
