The whole accommodation is beautifully designed, great breakfast, very nice staff, enjoyed the spa.

The room itself was not comfortable. The way it’s designed feels impractical – there is no door to the bathroom, so you can hear EVERYTHING from the bed, which is far from romantic. The lower floor of the room is not user-friendly, quite dark, and the coffee corner is located downstairs at the end of the room, while the sink and trash bin are at the end upstairs inside the bathroom area. Also, the stairs between the two levels have no railing. No body mirror, just a very small one from chest up at the bathroom. For the high price, especially for an upgraded room, we expected more comfort. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the room was not to our taste.

Myself and a friend had a lovely stay at Lavandeira Douro, right from the offset the staff were excellent and welcoming, we were collected from Mosteirô station and given a brief tour of the surrounding areas that we could possibly visit in our stay. The resort its-self is vast and offers a wide variety of activities from wondering around the vineyards, visiting the car museum and lounging by the pool. Getting around the resort can be done either by walking or on request a golf buggy from your accommodation. Our accommodation was Casa do Olival placed at the top end of the resort in a nice secluded area with little noise and a garden terrace to utilise. The accommodation itself is modern minimalist style offering all the essentials. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would love to return. :)

We loved every minute of our experience at Lavandeira. The staff was welcoming and very friendly. We particularly enjoyed learning about the properties wines from Philippe - he went above and beyond to make our stay special. The property is beautiful and our room exceeded our expectations. It was a bit quieter on the Monday and Tuesday when so stayed so we also had the spa and swimming pools to ourselves - we were spoiled! We are telling our friends and family about the hotel and would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway - with amazing wine & food of course!

The location and the site is absolutely stunning. The pool is gorgeous and our vineyard room was lovely. We did a walk nearby and the hotel staff dropped us off and told us the route which was great.

The service let down the overall experience. We often waited a long time for food/drinks, and sometimes never got what we ordered. The staff were very polite and apologetic, but the overall experience was let down by this. They also seemed quite stressed which impacted our experience.

A dream in heaven - this place can’t be described, unless you are there. The gardens, the planted vines, the entire complex, near the river, the road down the orchard, everything is carefully placed where it can enhance the charm of this small piece of heaven. The food is delicious and the entire staff so welcoming and helpful! Congrats for creating a warm experience to your guests. Definitely on our list of comeback places.

Every detail was thought out for the most luxurious stay and it was full of surprises! I was so excited to stay but so surprised when we arrived by how incredible it was. I never wanted to leave. The staff made you feel right at home and I was so relaxed. We had s private wine tasting on the veranda by the vine leaves which I think was the highlight of my trip around Portugal 🥰 thank you a million times. Not to mention the architecture of the rooms, I could go on

Perfect location, great welcome with a drink at the pool. Fantastic suite! Comfortable bed, clean and great terrace at the suite next to the waterfall. Absolutely breathtaking! Fantastic breakfast, very friendly staff from management to cleaning staff and in-between all very friendly and helpful. Elmo restaurant was very nice for lunch and dinner with a fantastic view and staff.

The property was magnificent! We stayed in one of the new bungalows, which was absolutely beautiful. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Even with all the windows there was complete privacy. It was super clean. Victor, who took care of us for breakfast and dinner for the two days that we were there treated us like royalty. He also makes a fantastic martini! The spa was wonderful. Make sure you get a massage. It was one of the best I’ve had. The views of the vineyards were stunning. We took a long walk along the river, which was so pretty, and we met a few mama pigs and their babies. We will definitely return.

The night we stayed happened to feature a degustation menu at the restaurant and the food was amazingly good, as was the wine. The views from the restaurant across the Duoro Valley were spectacular. We stayed in the original villa and the room was very nicely decorated, and the bathroom was understandably small but had everything needed and was very clean. The property also features a historic motor car collection and a vineyard. We were treated to a full tour of the estate the next day. This hotel was our favourite in Portugal.

It was all very good. Signage to get into the property could have been better but they're rectifying this with a lovely new entrance.

The resort was beautifully conceptualized amidst the vineyard and incorporates the existing historical structures and buildings to make a fabulous oasis of relaxation. It is classy without being ostentatious. The use of wood and natural materials truly make it a natural wellness and spa resort. The staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the cod Elmo!

The spa pool had recently opened and the water jets were not functioning yet.
