This resort is absolutely fabulous for a family getaway. There is so much for the kids to do, the breakfast is wonderful, the staff is kind and accommodating, and there are so many extra perks like shuttle services, live music, and crabbing for kids that other resorts in the area do not offer. The setting is also beautiful with the water and boats along the large grassy land with impeccable floral landscaping.

My only complaint is that the pool area should be larger as it was quite full at times. Other than that, we had an incredible stay!

Breakfast was excellent, staff very friendly. Location fine.

The people that cleaned the rooms just did an OK job. For example, we had our friends over for cocktails. The next day after the room was cleaned, we found all the dirty glasses were still on the dresser and not replaced. The ice in the bucket which had melted overnight was still there, not replaced with a cleaner plastic bag.

The property is right along the river so the view from our room was lovely and the grounds were beautifully decorated for the fall.

I didn’t like our room because it was right next to the parking lot which was noisy and this was not part of the description when I booked the room. The door to the room didn’t completely seal when shut so you could feel the cold draft from outside. You could also hear the traffic drive by because the room led right outside to the main street. With that being said I asked if there was another room available and the front desk was very nice, gave me a couple of options and we changed rooms. Our new room was on the second floor on the inside of the carriage house with a beautiful view of the river.

What a delight, Beautiful location right on the waterfront and old-world feel to this hotel resort. Very family friendly with many families and small children when we visited which did not bother us at all. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices and quality was excellent. Food in the pool bar was average, but staff service made up for this. Lovel, safe very quaint hotel perfectly situated for walks to little town and bike riding around the neighbourhood. Our room was lovely.

Some day trippers seemed to park across the road and wander in to the hotel and headed straight to the pool and lawn chairs and whilst there was no issue it did seem a little lax in terms of ensuring hotel guests were prioritised for seating and pool use.

Location and that it is beautifully maintained and decorated for the season. Also the ambience and quaintness as you enter and throughout. The complimentary breakfast was excellent.

We went with another couple and found more value to stay in a 2 bedroom suite sharing one bathroom. It worked out ok but the smaller room didn’t have adequate space for luggage. I guess if we would have unpacked we would not have placed our open luggage on the floor. We were there one night so it worked out ok.

Great choice for breakfast, wonderful staff, nice little touches like lavender in the soap dish in the bathroom. Courtesy bus to beach and town, and providing beach towels,chairs and umbrella was also really helpful.

The view from our room was not the best - we overlooked the road. I found the air conditioning unit blowing straight onto the bed rather powerful - we just turned it off.

We stayed during the Christmas Predlude. Christmas decor was very detailed and warm. The fireplace was extra cozy and the complimentary cookies and hot chocolate hit the spot. This is the cleanest and sweetest resort we have ever visited. The free breakfast was delicious with a large variety of foods. It was a huge spread with the friendliest staff. The restaurant and bar were also great for dinner and drinks. The room was very comfortable as well.

We enjoyed the large window that overlooked the pool and bay. It was off season, so we were unable to enjoy the outside facilities due to cold temps. We visited the small pub onsite and it was very fun and the cocktails were excellent along with the clam chowder. We met some of the other guests and had a wonderful time. The bartenders were great. The breakfast was excellent.

We enjoy being able to walk to town, and with the temps, it was a bit too far to walk to town. I felt the prices were a bit high for the time of year being that when we spoke to other travelers in the area, they were in much more reasonably priced accommodations that were as nice. I realize that the property has history which may be the justification for the higher price. Overall, it was a very satisfactory stay.

We loved the grounds - sitting in the chairs scattered throughout the property. My kids liked the Camp Nonantum activities - even though they were a bit older, the staff welcomed them. The location was perfect for walking to town and the coast. We enjoyed the breakfast. A very relaxing getaway.

This is a beautiful property. The breakfast was excellent! They also provide a free shuttle service to downtown, which is great so you don't have to worry about parking.

I wished we had a better view, instead of looking at the roof below us, but didn't spend enough time in the room anyway. Our stay was way too short.
