We needed a bed for the night near Frodsham, arriving late (22:30 hrs) and departing at a reasonable time to enjoy a breakfast in North Wales. Having stayed at the Best Western Forest Hills previously it was just in the right location for a night's stop. As I am disabled we required a room near to Reception and without stairs to get to it. The Best Western Forest Hills staff managed to select an ideal room for us without stairs to get to it, which was very much appreciated. The hotel met all our expectations.

There was nothing that was not to like. The facilities and staff were great, thank you.

Fabulous stay! Room, staff, location & facilities were all superb! Special shout out to the lovely guy on reception....he really was like chatting to an old friend...such a fun, friendly & charismatic person. I stayed for 2 nights & ate in the restaurant...the Sunday roast was delicious 😋 I made use of the facilities too....just £5 for use of the pool, gym, sauna & jacuzzi. I didn't use the gym but had a lovely time everywhere else. Alot of locals use the facilities & I got chatting to a few of them....can honestly say they were all so friendly & welcoming. I'll definitely be returning as there's still lots of places nearby I want to visit. Thankyou so much everyone for making my stay so fab!

We had an executive room (No. 206) which was excellent with a double aspect window overlooking the estuary and Cheshire Plain. There was a nice short walk to the war memorial which had lovely views again. Staff were all very friendly and happy to chat or give more information. We only had an overnight stay with breakfast which was buffet style. It was very nice and had plenty of options for everyone to choose from. We didn't have time to use the pool or gym but good to have those facilities on offer.

A more comfortable area by the bar just for a drink would be nice although there were comfy chairs in the foyer area.

The room was a good size but not yet upgraded the bathroom was new with a double rainfall shower The receptionist was excellent and the swimming pool nice. Restaurant is better since the upgrade and breakfast is excellent value

The restaurant staff were inexperienced and not as welcoming as my last few visits so i am presuming the mature staff are on holiday. The young girl at breakfast never even said good morning , even when i greeted her first.I am a hotel manager myself and i try to train in.the 10.second rule to greet customers like i.was trained over 40 years agol

There was the most awful smell of drains/sewerage coming from the bathroom sink during ther night , spoke to the receptionist in the morning so they knew to bleach the sinks to be pretty much ignored !!

The rooms were great - spotless and large. Most of the staff were very nice and helpful. I enjoyed the pool facilities - the lower lights created a relaxing atmosphere. I spent a long time in pool area. A superb breakfast - very enjoyable - the restaurant staff very very friendly and helpful - making sure the breakfast items were topped up. The spa staff were also very friendly and helpful. Great location with super available walks. I really fancy staying there again.

My room was very hot -i wasn't sure how to turn down the heat - fortunately there was a fan in the room. I think the Receptionist could have been more welcoming. I like to feel that I'm a welcome guest not just someone who is passing through to be thrust two check in cards - then room keys. I travel a lot and I'm used to the receptionist at least pretending to be interested in our journey - or asking us if we've visited before. And perhaps to have the facilities explained. We were also sent in two different routes to our rooms even though they were quite close apart. Perhaps she was busy that day.

Friendly team, excellent facilities. Nice and clean recently refurbished. Our room was spacious and comfortable. We came here as a family so had a twin and a triple room meaning we had lots of space to relax. Gym over 2 floors, lovely big swimming pool, steam room and sauna. Food was amazing we had freshly made stone baked pizza, I had Caesar salad with beautiful freshly grilled chicken. I Tried chefs own Raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake , it was best pudding I ve had in years. Breakfast was also incredible. Looking forward to booking a return visit. Set in nice location . If weather had been better would have been lovely to sit outside for a cocktail here, Highly recommend. Good value for money. I'd looked for accommodation near Chester and can't believe that by chance I stumbled upon this gem.

Perfectly situated to many attractions.Beautiful location,very peaceful and serene. Staff were all lovely. Very clean & welcoming. The room was perfect and tastefully decorated. The breakfast was fantastic. Didn’t get a chance to use the leisure facilities but will definitely make use of them at a later date,We will definitely be back

The only very slight negative was that the plug in the bath didn’t fit correctly so when I returned a few minutes later to get into it ,it was empty and had to re-fill & keep my hand on it to stop it disappearing

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here and it’s nice to see the place has been refurbished to a lovely standard. Everywhere was clean and tidy and the staff were lovely. I upgraded to an executive suite but the only thing different in this room than the room last time was the bed felt a little bigger. That was all so didn’t feel it was worth the price to upgrade but it was a nice room so can’t complain really.

The pool facilities were not very good most of the lockers were broken and not many cubicles to change in privacy. We didn’t use the leisure facilities last time we stayed and unless it had a refurb I wouldn’t use them again.

I have probably stayed here over 100 times and it was getting tired. This time I was put in what looked like a newly refurbished room which was very nice. I hope they do more rooms to match

Still looking tired, but I still enjoy my stays here
