Comfortable and spacious room. Perfect for me and my daughter. Great location for what we needed. Quiet, especially given we were near the beer garden. The mini fridge was perfect for us to bring a few bits to keep cold for our own use.

WiFi was a bit touch and go but we didn’t really need it so wasn’t an issue. Shower didn’t drain well so flooded a bit when we needed a shower. Think the electricity tripped in the bathroom as the light went out half way through the stay, but we didn’t bring this up with the staff so that was our issue really not theirs! Old building so a few spiders around the room which my daughter wasn’t a fan of but especially this time of year, couldn’t be helped!

Great stay in a calm lovely place with cosy room (good bed, big shower and lovely small terrasse to sit outside and enjoy the view into the countryside), very friendly owner who helps with every question, fast reaction on mails. The White horse Inn is a very cosy local pub with good food and relaxing atmosphere! You can as well sit outside and enjoy the sun infront the pub and in the garden. The village is a lovely calm place to relax. As there is no regular busservice you need a bike or car or taxi to go to places around. By car it is about 25 Min to Chester. This is for sure a nice place to come again 😀

Stayed here with our 5 month old, the room was lovely and spacious for all her bits inc cot ect. Was sceptical about noise levels as we stayed Friday and Saturday night and it is a pub, but it was lovely and peaceful - near enough silent after 9pm! Staff were lovely, we arrived abit early and were allowed to check straight in. Parking right outside our entrance. Lovely village, felt very safe walking around with locals being friendly. Was the perfect first family break and would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We stayed in a heatwave, and took a fan with us as precaution as we were travelling with a baby- otherwise probably would have been abit too warm, however this is to be expected staying in a loft type conversion!

We stayed one night following a day visiting Chester and the following day in Delamere Forest. Perfect location for our needs. We also travelled with one dog. We ate at the pub in the evening. They advised us they have limited menu compared to normal but there was still an extensive choice. The food was delicious and was freshly cooked. The staff and locals were very welcoming. We didn't stay for breakfast but it smelt lovely whilst it was being cooked for others when we left :-)

We had a downstairs room and you could hear upstairs moving around a little. It is an old building. This didn't detract from our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nuno is an exceptional host, manning both the bar and kitchen by himself as well as being on call for all your needs. The breakfasts were fantastic and evening meals possibly even better. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. If given the chance, we would highly recommend the Sunday roast. The room was warm bright and colourful, the bed comfortable and nicely sized. We will definitely keep the White Horse Inn in mind if we are traveling to the area again.

The room could have been a bit cleaner.

A small, traditional village Inn with accommodation in a separate building. The room was accessed up an outside staircase and was very clean, cosy and comfortable. The area and the room were quiet and we enjoyed 2 excellent night’s rest. The host is super friendly and helpful and the Inn has a great atmosphere with locals and visitors. The home cooked food was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay. We definitely plan to return there!

We were entirely happy with our stay. Obviously, anyone with mobility difficulties should check if a ground floor room Is available and in inclement weather you need to be aware of the very short walk to the Inn itself for drinks or food.

This is a beautiful little gem if you want to relax and take a chilled night away We stayed here as we were going to oulton park racing which was about 20 minutes drive away The room was fantastic comfortable bed and seating area and you can look up at the stars The staff were also fabulous

No reflection on hotel but absolutely no other pubs or restaurants around in walking distance The outdoor furniture was a little tired The pub did feel cold about 20.00pm and I wanted thr beautiful real fire to get going but went back to room which was lovely and warm The shower didn't have an attachment so of you don't want to get your hair wet there wasn't an option

Wow. This pub/hotel is an absolute gem. Although I did not have any contact with the staff or owner, the check-in went very smoothly. The room itself is brilliant - it is more like a suite. It was clean, warm and very spacious. Car parking is on site and secure. The best thing is the bath towels - they are huge. Thank you - because I hate the very small 'flannels' that other hotels give you. The bed was so comfy that I did not want to get up this morning.

Nuno was a lovely host, nothing seem a problem for him. The property is a good location to access Chester as its within a 20 minute drive to the center or Chester, so a god base. They offer food in the evening and a lovely cooked breakfast for an additional charge. Nuno is an attentive host and asked about you and your day and what you've got planned. We paid a reasonable price and had a good nights sleep for it.

The room had quite a bit of dust around, on the toilet roll holder and in the drawers under the bed, in their defense they hadn't realised we had booked so hopefully the room would have been cleaner if they had been expecting us. The room was the smallest of the three and could have benefited from a small comfy chair like in the other rooms. Just by moving the desk down the wall a bit would give enough space, then you don't have to sit on the bed if you don't want to. The TV on the wall needs a bit more securing.

Great decor. Modern furnishings and a fantastically quiet fridge! High end bathroom and pleasant outdoor seating. Quiet countryside location. Big kettle. Not in any way above the pub so much quieter than expected.

Internal and external doors need replacing as this would give privacy when going to the loo with the light on! We didn't sit on the sofa as there were pet hairs all over it despite my booking a "non-pet friendly" room. Guy in room 1 had telly on through the night 🤷‍♂️ which was minorly irritating.
