A very welcoming property with great parking available. Room was ideal and breakfast was okay
First day was great with very attentive staff at breakfast. Day two I asked about berry tea and was handed a teabag and told where hot water was! Although I’d stated gluten free the only option was gf toast but still a nice breakfast. The floor is quite uneven in paces in bar which caused me to mind my step and drinks differed in price each time I went the bar, even though the drink may have been a change slightly from tonic to no sugar lemonade. Lampshades in bar could do with a dust down. Maybe an option if a throw for the bed too as I found it a bit cold

The triple room my daughters and I had was on the ground floor - brilliant - as I have mobility issues - and there were dedicated parking spaces for blue badge holders. The beds were very comfortable and the room had almost everything you needed. Ample provision of tea/coffee etc. Lovely shower, including complimentary toiletries, and all very clean. The food was excellent; the ribeye steak the best I've had in a long time and the eggs benedict for breakfast was perfect. I'd have no hesitation in booking Bawn Lodge again.
Although sunny and warm during the day the night was cold and there wasn't an extra blanket available, so a cold night until I thought of using a couple of bath towels - one round my neck and the other over my feet.

We were checked in within minutes of arrival and then shown to our room. The room was very clean and tidy, toiletries were provided in the bathroom and in the bedroom the tea and coffee tray was well stocked. The bed was very comfortable and soft so if you like a firmer mattress this is not the place for you. Breakfast the next day was very tasty. There was a good continental selection when you walked in including tea, coffee, juices, cereals and yoghurt. We were only sat for a few minutes before our hot food order was taken, this appeared quite quickly and was excellent. Overall this was a great hotel for a little stay over. Excellent location for us, not in the centre of the city but is within a 15 minutes walking distance or about £6 in a taxi. All the staff were very polite and friendly

This was the ideal location for our stay in Chester, close to the train station and restaurants and attractions. Bawn Lodge has a nice cosy feel to it. We had a lovely comfortable room, hot shower, and fluffy towels. It was clean, warm, and had everything we needed. On Tuesday it was extremely busy due to Quiz night but how lovely to see regular local people use the pub. The staff at breakfast and behind the bar were professional and attentive, as was the lady who checked us in on reception, we couldn't find any fault with our time there. We loved Chester and particularly the Cathedral. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.😊
Nothing.

We we’re greeted with a warm and friendly greeting the room was perfect on the ground floor as we had a disabled lady with us so it was just perfect ! Facilities perfect lots of tea and coffee kettle and mini fridge and a few treats as a welcome 👌room was lovely abs warm and shower room was nice the breakfast was amazing 5 stars 🌟👌
Downside was under one of the beds there was an empty water bottle and tissues I guess from the previous guests 😱 the toilet seat was lose and the radiator needed a good scrub or even changed ! 3 beds and only one side had plugs for charging phones etc and 2 tiny bottles of complimentary shampoo and body wash between 3 girls please note these are just minor issues I just wanted to give an honest feedback we had a fantastic stay !!! 😘👌

This is a small lodge, only 5 rooms, which was wonderful. The room was furnished with a small refrigerator, coffee maker and mugs. Each day the coffee, tea, hot chocolate and biscuits were replenished. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice and included a hairdryer. The staff are friendly and attentive. There is a great bar and restaurant downstairs and it is packed every night. Breakfast comes with the room and has everything from a full English, to yogurt, cereal and fruit. The restaurant staff were extremely accommodating with regard to my food allergies and requirements. A small parking lot is available on site for guests. Street parking is also available.
The only complaint would be that the water in the shower cycled between hot, warm and cool about every 10-15 seconds.

Overall our stay was good. The room was very clean & the en suite was equally clean & suitable. Breakfast was very pleasant & all the staff were very friendly & polite. We really enjoyed the neighbouring roads opposite, Faulkner Street & Charles Street where there are a number of shops, cafes & restaurants which had a bit of a village feel.
The hotel is fairly close to the main road & as our room was at the front there was a noticeable amount of traffic noise & the occasional group outside making their way home from the city in the early hours. This isn't a place to go if you want a quiet night as the bar area extends out to the front of the premises where people obviously socialise. That said the staff ensure that all's quiet at about 11.00pm.

The hotel is in a perfect spot, it's a short walk in to Chester town centre and there is a street across the road with lots of little shops on! The room itself was very spacious, the bed was insanely comfortable and there were tea and coffee making bits! The bathroom was huge with a walk in shower and shower gel was provided. The owner of the hotel was lovely, so helpful and friendly. Check in and out was quick and easy and there's plenty of parking!
It's nothing to do with the hotel, it was just a bit loud when some of the people who had gone to the pub left but once they were gone, despite being on a main road, it was very quiet and we had a great night's sleep.

Joanne, the Polish lady who booked us in was exceptionally friendly and helpful. She showed us where to go, and explained the easiest way for us to get down for breakfast in the morning. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, when we had a query. We will definitely have Bawn lodge at the top of our preferences when we return to Chester. Finding balloons and happy Anniversary Banner and Happy birthday banners and box of chocolates in our room , was a fantastic surprise. Thank you so much, it gave us a lovely start to enjoying my husband birthday and our 39th anniversary the next day. We will definitely recommend Bawn Lodge to our friends and family.
Didn't dislike anything, We had a perfect stay. Thanks.

Another lovely stay at the lodge, they had decorated the room for my brothers birthday which was a lovely surprise and all the staff were so kind and helpful. Breakfast was great, we had the eggs benedict which were perfectly cooked and we also had our evening meal there. The fish and chips was to die for as well as the burger and the portions were huge. The room was very clean and spacious enough to fit three people and the beds were lovely and soft, plenty of towels and a little toiletries kit was left on each bed. Also tea and coffee making facilities and a fan in case the room got too warm. Great location and a great place to stay when visiting Chester.
Bathroom was very warm due to the towel heater being on throughout the duration of the stay.
