There is a friendly welcome from the staff, the reception area is spacious and bright with comfortable lounge area. We received a spacious double room, with ensuite, It was spotless clean, with large comfortable bed. There is a small range of drinks and snacks (including beers) available from reception. The hotel has glasses of cool, iced water available for guests, free of charge, 24 hours at reception and this was appreciated. The breakfast buffet is excellent with scrambled egg, bacon, sausages, cheeses, fruit, breads, yoghurts, juices, teas and coffees available and is fair value at €14 per person. The location is very convenient for travellers, five minutes walk to Potsdam Sansoucci Park train station. There is a train available direct from Berlin airport (40 minutes journey) and the fare is only €3.80 per person. The bus service is excellent with bus stops to and from the Potsdam centre, or Potsdam Universtity on the street outside the hotel.

There is no kettle provided in the hotel room for tea or coffee making and there is no fridge for cool drinks or iron provided for your clothes. But that was not a problem for us. There was no evening food service at the hotel at the time of our visit (January 2025), but there is an excellent Bavarian style restaurant five minutes walk away at the Sansoucci Park train station.

Elevator was not working and I have a mobility issue that made stairs difficult. No air conditioning and no fan provided, even when I asked. Leaving the window open was not a good solution because people were smoking right outside the window. This was the most expensive hotel room in our trip to Germany.

The location for me was great since it was close to the palace grounds and also very close to the train station Park Sanssouci. Everything worked in this hotel, though it is not as luxorious as some. There was a lot of space in the room. The reception staff was super friendly.

It would have been super to have a water boiler for tea or coffee in the room

Hotel is located very close to the Sansoussi park and University of Potsdam. From a small railway station that is just 5 min on foot, you can easily reach Berlin in 30 min. I also should mention breakfasts that are very good and have not only standard options.

In other hotels of Potsdam you can get a bigger room with balcony for a cheaper price.

Large, clean and comfortable room. Everything you need is in the bathroom. Quiet.

Parking problem. Queue at reception: We waited 20 min. Price higher than it could be. Early noise in the corridor: loud conversations of maids.

clean, quiet, well located for drivers, free parking, helpful staff. Furnishings looked quite new. Breakfast was good including GF bread.

their website mentioned “dining on the terrace” but they do not offer any meal other than breakfast and the neighbouring restaurant was closed so we ordered Pizza which was delivered hot and tasty. Staff allowed us to eat the pizza in a room which appeared to have been set for breakfast. No access to the terrace which appeared to be dark and dirty although it was one of the features that attracted our booking. Our guest in a separate room complained of being kept awake by doors banging.

The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety. The staff was exceptional, an extremely helpful lot! I will definitely be back soon :) Very good location as well - right next to public transport.

Kindly increase the options of vegetarian choices at breakfast. But other than that, it was great! :) I totally recommend this hotel for anyone's future stay in Potsdam.

I didn t sleep there cause technical problem of hotel. So special thanks to young man of check-in. He realised for me room in an other hotel include transfer. He was really helpful!

The hotel room was very nice and gossy and also pet friendly what gives a extra bones.

The downside is that there is no possibility to make tea or coffee in the hotel room and no bowl for little pet

I know it would have been out of the price range, but I would have loved to have a small fridge in the room.
