The location was 50 yards from a huge beach. A short dive to Jaco and Manual Antonio. So it's in a very quiet area with an upscale strip mall just down the road that has great restaurants and a grocery store. The hotel grounds were well kept up and a beautiful pool and jacuzzi. The awesome included Costa Rican breakfast was a great treat that you ordered from a menu. The on-site restaurant was amazing. The rooms were large and spacious with very comfortable pillows and mattresses.. And the staff were outstanding, very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is almost on the beach, and a lovely plaza is within a 15-minute walk. I am sincerely grateful to Mildred and Daniel for the front desk service. Both are fluent in English, friendly and helped me a lot. They found a private beach-horse-riding tour, which was fantastic! When I got confused with my ticket back to San Jose, they took the problem seriously. They scheduled a local taxi service to ensure I would not miss my bus, and a friendly driver took me to the station on time. Special thanks to Carlos, who manages a restaurant and bar promptly and gave me great suggestions about the food and beverages. Waitresses Yancy and Riyel - lovely young women - always served the food fast, with a smile and "con mucho gusto." I would also like to thank all the people in the kitchen who are performing extraordinary jobs behind the scenes. EVERY meal I ate was VERY fresh and SO delicious!

We enjoyed the friendly staff, the comfortable bed, and the updated, clean, quiet room on the main floor. The beautiful beach was just a few minutes walk away. Three or four restaurants were within walking distance or a short drive from the hotel. The breakfast was fresh and good, and although we did not eat other meals in the restaurant, the food looked authentic and delicious.

We would have liked access to beach towels for use on the beach. Because we were flying, we had limited space in our luggage to pack those. We would have been happy to rent or pay a deposit.

The staff was very kind and helpful with recommendations in the area. The rooms were very spacious with working AC. The beds were also very comfortable. My personal highlight was the breakfast and the pool. Breakfast every morning was delicious! It included fresh fruit, 1 entree, and our choice of orange juice or coffee. It was very relaxing to come out and not have to worry about breakfast at the start of the day. The pool was pretty big and deep (careful with the kiddos), but did have a shallow part that was separate that kids could play in.

This was a lovely stay at the end of our Costa Rica trip. The staff and management were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and very comfortable. Great beach very close by, lots of wildlife to see. Around the hotel pool we saw a resident Iguana, racoon and heron , all seemed quite tame.. The restaurant upstairs in the evening was probably the best food we had whilst in Costa Rica ! I would recommend the Peruvian Cerviche and the beef tenderloin . Nice end to the holiday.

There was nothing we didn't like

It’s ideally situated near a beautiful beach with clean fine sand and few tourists. It’s a wide beach that is great for walking or wading (not a swimming beach because of the surf, which is beautiful though). It’s a small hotel in a quiet location that’s well maintained located around a nice pool area where you can relax with a drink and hear the surf.. We also liked the hotel because it was outside the hustle and bustle of Jaco and closer to some of the great things to do and see in Manual Antonio and Quepos - just a 30 minute drive. The on-site restaurant has good food and good service with a poolside bar open until 10 pm. Very good value

Nothing really

Nice clean secluded hotel, good to stay for a few days. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Was nice to watch hummingbirds, lots of macaws flying around, and other representatives of the local fauna while sitting in the swimming pool. The road to the hotel is good for any type car. Good restaurant on site, and a few more at ~1km in the city.

The bathroom is outdated and poorly ventilated. Nowhere to hang wet clothes.

all went well. hotel in a quiet location, several others nearby, plus gated condo community for San Jose weekenders up the road. small problem for bus passenger arrivals, no shuttle to hotel. but only a 10 minute walk , so not really a deal-breaker. restaurant and liquor store near highway, good food available at reasonable price. hotel rooms have mini-fridges so a cold beer always nice. pool decent size, loungers fine, pool towels available. staff really helpful,

only 1 restaurant, the "soda" near the highway, would have been nice with more choice. but hotel restaurant fine, maybe a little expensive. hotel breakfast (incl in room price) very good. also many books available in "library"

Staff was amazing. They went above and beyond to be helpful. Pool was wonderful and the location worked perfect for us. The breakfast was nice and unexpected. Lovely fresh fruit. Great value for the area.

Rooms and property are dated. They just need some attention. I didn’t like the cat being in the dining room. Also a raccoon ran through while having breakfast.

The staff is very helpful and friendly, the breakfast is good. The dinner was amazing in the restaurant of the hotel.

There are minor maintenance issues, but in general the hotel is very nice.
