Loved our room, having a bidet, the gorgeous view and lounge chair. The staff were wonderful and fun. SO nice having the cafe downstairs to compliment breakfast and for snacks and great seating when the room furniture got little uncomfortable (or when I needed to give the missus a break from my company). The Italian restaurant was also a favourite when we could be bothered walking or driving to the other restaurants VERY nearby! 😎 All the staff were extremely nice and helpful and made our visit a pleasure. Both Joao gentlemen. Joao junior was so good with advice and suggesting things to visit and what to find where. Alessandra (sp?) and Daniela were top notch in efficiency and help at reception. Rita, Lucy and the other dear ladies in Caffe Espresso were a joy to chat with and meet daily. I loved the access to the swimming pool in the other house, which I had largely to myself. A nice sun trap too, so even on slightly windy days, the sun was warm--even hot at times.

The ONLY thing that we found difficult was the breakfast. The breakfast was absolutely great for those who like continental breakfast. BUT, if you are used to hot or cooked breakfasts like we are in Ireland, the continental fare got old after a few days. Again, the breakfast was good, and most mornings it seemed like there was an entirely different group of guests, so on short visits one would not get bored with the regular fare available.

We had a great stay, the pool was amazing, the room was lovely, shower and great hairdryer staff were ok, some more pleasant than others, but generally ok, fantastic location,we really had a fabulous time. The pool bar guy was very friendly and recommended a few good places to eat very nice guy. Pizza place at the side was delicious, free bottle of wine, this gesture was given by the hotel. Walk to the beach was literally 2 minutes. I loved it. ❤️

I thought the breakfast was ok, my husband was expecting a little more, although I did warn him before.

The location is good between tonel and mareta beaches. The rooms and bathroom is clean. Staff are nice especially the gentleman who works in the poolside bar (thank you for your hospitality). Great that there was a cafe directly below /next to reception. They had great pastel de nata’s.

To walk down the road to get to the pool although the pool is nice infinity pool with a great view. Breakfast was ok and was better when we learned we could take it upstairs otherwise you’re eating in a windowless basement. The shower pressure could also do with being better as it was a little weaker than we are used to using when showering.

The hotel has an excellent location next to Mareta Beach, which is also on the route of the Fisherman's Trail through Sagres. I had no kettle in my room; however reception staff sorted out a pot of hot water to enable me to have tea in my room. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice for me. My room was very comfortable, light, airy and a good size. The hotel has its own pool, but I did not use this as the sea is so close.

I would have liked tea/coffee facilities in the room; however the reception staff did provide an efficient workaround for me.

We enjoyed our stay at Mareta Beach Hotel... but wished we would have stayed next door in the Mareta Beach apartments right next to the gorgeous pool! The continental breakfast was good (even had decaf coffee!) and our room was fine (although no balcony). The location was great - right next to the main bus stop and just a few minutes walking distance from plenty of restaurants.

Breakfast is served in the basement of the main hotel, with the option to carry a tray upstairs to the cafe. We didn't like that we needed to walk all the way around the hotel, cafe, and restaurant in order to enter the pool area. The stairway up to the first floor was also quite dirty!

The room was very clean. We had a balcony with a nice view, table with two chairs, and a lounger. The hotel has an elevator. There is a designated smoking area for smokers. We didn't really watch TV but did notice it had Netflix and other choices. Bed was comfortable, plenty of covers, towels, toiletries.

As other people commented, the breakfast is in a basement. You are allowed to carry your food up to the outdoor seating but then you would have to go back down if you want more coffee, etc.

Good location. We stayed there while hiking the Fishermens trail. Received a good recommendation for Restaurants. Nice Pool with Bar.

Next to a noisy street with parties going on till late night. Unfortunately our aircondition did not work (so we had to keep our door open, listening to the party noise) - Tipp: Check that your Aircon works. The Pool is in the building next door.

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. The room was comfortable and friendly and the pool area (with infinity pool and pool bar) was very lovely and nice. Next to the hotel there's a good Italian restaurant and a coffee shop. The beach is very near (5 min. walking) and all other bars and restaurants are very close. It's the perfect location to stay in Sagres.

It would have been nicer to have the breakfast outside or in a bright room.

Staff were very friendly & helpful. The room & ensuite were spotless. We requested a walk-in shower, as my husband husband has mobility issues & it was provided. The bed was very comfortable. The location was within walking distance of the village & beach. The café at the front was lovely & had a nice atmosphere.

Swimming pool was located at another property which was a bit inconvenient. I didn't realise there was a garden & jacuzzi at the rear of the B&B.It would have been helpful if there was an information booklet in the rooms as we weren't told any of this at check-in.

The hotel is in a good location, has friendly staff, and a restaurant directly connected to it. The breakfast was good, and the room was quiet.

I had to go back to the front desk three times to gain entrance to the room since the key card did not work. They gave me a set of keys that did work, but then I needed an extra card to turn on the lights. No big deal.
