The room was very pleasant and offered a nice view towards the Bay and San Francisco in the far distance. If you want a breath of fresh sea air there's a lovely path that goes past the hotel from the marina northwards along the coast towards the Cesar Chavez park where people fly colourful kites. The coffee machine in the room made a good cup of coffee, unlike other hotels on our visit.

Breakfast is expensive, so we only ate breakfast on our first morning. Parking costs $40 per night, but we used public transport during our stay as we were getting over jet lag. The 51B bus runs from the Marina into central Berkeley every 24 minutes on weekdays. You can get some odd-bods on the buses, but we didn't sense any particular danger.

The location is great, staff are very helpful, and good facilities on site as well. Also, since it is by the Berkeley Marina, there is also a great view of the Bay and SF as well. I recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in Berkeley and has a car. Breakfast is also very delicious.

Make sure to read the texts on the breakfast coupon if you get one. It is only valid for certain dishes (not all dishes on the a-la-carte menu are included) even though both the reception and booking.com said "breakfast is included". We were not explicitly informed about these terms at the reception or at the breakfast room until we were paying our bill. However, the staff at the hotel resolved the issue very responsively and professionally for us. I therefore still recommend anyone to stay here.

Very comfy beds and the staff were super nice. The cleaning women especially were very friendly and helpful. The location has great views of the Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. The open space and natural areas nearby were a nice perk and we took several nice walks.

The parking charge per night seems kinda mean. There’s no other option out there and only guests would be staying overnight. Also, the location is a bit remote (no town amenities within walking distance) so I wouldn’t recommend if you don’t have a car or wanted to walk to dinner or nightlife.

Absolutely love staying. So relaxing. Great views with the marina view king room. The staff is very friendly. No room service from the restaurant but it was quick and easy to place a pickup order online and bring it back to the room. Late checkout was amazing through the Hilton honors app, which will work even with a booking.com reservation if you're already a Hilton honors member with the same email address. The room doesn't have Keurig style coffee but a different type of pod, so keep that in mind if you only drink Keurig pod coffees. Thankfully there is a Starbucks machine in the lobby which is 24 hours that and makes really good mochas and lattes for 8 dollars each. Of course the cookies for free at check in are so delicious. It was not my first visit, and will not be my last.

When I first arrive the woman at the front desk was very kind and pleasant . She also gave us some double tree complementary cookies. They were warm and delicious. In my opinion,the best things about this hotel is the beautiful Marina and sitting area outback . The hotel is very beautiful and clean .There was also a restaurant overlooking the water by the marina. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to visit it this time so I can’t comment on the actual food . We really enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and the balcony was a plus.

The only thing that I can say I didn’t like was that there was only two bath towels in bathroom and there was 4 of us . There were other smaller towels but only two large towels. I recommend that if traveling with others to request extra towels ahead. Of time .

It is really beautiful to have a Marina view. I enjoyed being able to see the Bay. I ended up needing to lengthen my stay due to illness and the staff was accommodating to me staying in one room. The beds are very comfortable, the room was big, everything was very relaxing. Even with many people, the rooms were quiet. I enjoyed the complementary tea and coffee, being able to order food, and the fridge in the room.

I don’t think the restaurant is worth it. Also, the food and drinks sold in the lobby are very overpriced. It’s worth bringing your own.

Staff was helpful and courteous. The room nice and views were beautiful. The resturant on site tasty. Love the water stands around the property. The outdoor spaces amazing.

The balcony could be cleaner,. It was covered with bird poop and dirt. They were understaffed and often would not answer the front desk phone. The pool area often not cleaned and restocked with towels. The room smelled like smoke and didn't have the proper amount of towels for our party in the bathroom.

Lovely view of Bay usually, but the large tourist vessels blocked the view. Still, it was a nice walk.

Microwaved breakfast , the Bundle so called, at the Boathouse. Mostly, I disliked agent (s) in booking after using Booking com, I called the Doubletree front desk and re-configured my booking to make sure it had a water view and on the first floor with patio. When I arrived at hotel on the 25th my reservation had Ben given away the day before. Outrageous. I was not told about a $100.00 security hold on my pre-paid bill for two nights with a friend who was actually paying the entire charge on her presented credit card on the 26th the night before we checked out.i felt okay with some agents or clerks in their communication, however, I felt deceived about security hold on my bank card.

We had a room with a small balcony and a view of the marina. It was just beautiful. The pool, although I didn't have time to use it, was long enough to swim laps in, which in my experience is rare. It's a huge hotel, but easy to navigate and all the outside areas are gorgeous. There is a nearby restaurant on the other side of the marina with excellent seafood at a better price than the hotel. It's a short walk away. I wish I'd had time to walk around the estuaries. Can't say enough good about this hotel!

We got a good price through booking.com. Otherwise, it would have been too expensive for my budget.

Great size room with a good bathroom. Quality toiletry items in bathroom. Good amenities: safe, ironing board, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was good and service was excellent. The staff were very friendly.

The hotel could have been cleaner. There is a lot of noise from guests going up and down the corridors. It is quite expensive to park your vehicle at the hotel. The location is off the beaten track and not so accessible to public transport.
