The location in the center of Schongau is perfect — it was the owners and staff however that made our stay exceptional. From waiting for us to arrive to assist with our 86 year old mother until extending our parking via the parking pay station when we were delayed in our exit — this hotel took care of everything we needed. The upgrades to the bathroom are spectacular— one of the best showers we had during our stay in Bavaria visiting family!

The property is located in the pedestrian center of Schongau. We noted the excellent quality of the hotel together with the enormous size of the room and bathroom which had everything. The breakfast was great and varied with a super tasty cappuccino. All the staff sympathic and very kind.

It's a pity that the hotel is in a very small village.

Good Room, super appliances and great location . The owner specifically was very cooperative he even came to drop me to the train station as it was raining and I didn’t get a taxi

The location in the city center was very convenient. Georg was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great! We would definitely stay at Hotel Alte Post again.

Cleaning lady came at 8 am in the morning and opened the door with a key and woke us up. We did not ask for a wake up call ...:)
