Good hotel. Very friendly and professional staff. Nice room. Great location in a lovely town. Good breakfast.

Dinner could be a lot better. It’s a fixed price for 5 courses. 1) Buffet (self-service - easily the best part. We thought we’d hate it, but very good); 2) soup (meh!); 3) main course (like school dinners from the 80s, but worse); 4) Cheese (self-service again - but quite good); 5) dessert (glass of cream and miscellaneous fruit - not worth the calories). I also don’t like the 6-830pm timing. Restaurant empty at 850pm as most people eating at 630-7pm. Despite average food and “odd” time to eat, staff very friendly and professional.

It was sometimes noisy outside due to roadworks/building work in the centre of the village at this time. The food was amazing but it would have been nice to have more local specialities. Most of the staff I saw were not Austrian, so maybe the chef wasn't Austrian either. I absolutely love the Austrian cuisine (I am originally from Germany and my best friend's family were Austrian and I have been on many holidays to Austria), and I had to go to other places for some favourites like Kaiserschmarrn or Wiener Schnitzel. I was also surprised that the staff did not know what quark/topfen is when I asked for it at breakfast (which is a standard component of a lot of Austrian cooking). However, there were some Autrian delicacies included; I just would have loved more of them.

The food is really good and the breakfast buffet is exceptional The spa area is perfect after a long (or short) day of skiing.

The hot tub might have been a bit warmer by a degree or two.

Two minor matters for report (not complaints): i) room did not have a chair for the desk, just a stool (they sensibly suggested I take a chair from the corridor) ii) access to the nice balcony was tricky, left hand (tilt) door obstructed by bed settee, right hand door would not open.

Facilities are really good, spa is large and relaxing with plenty of space to enjoy. Staff is extremely welcoming and available. The hotel is really central, you can get much better than that.

The room was spacious but not as modern as I expected, I considered it a minor detail about the overall experience.

Location and spa

Staff at breakfast. We were sent from one table to another while staff were arguing with each other where we should sit. We were not properly introduced to the breakfast process, i.e. how the omelet service works so it felt a little confusing.

Excellent quality for a very good price. The location, the spa area, and the staff is superb. I will definitely be coming back for another visit.

The parking is a little difficult to find, because the hotel is located in the town center. However, they have specific instructions on their website. I should have checked there beforehand.

The spa is beautiful and spacious.

My room on the 1st floor (111) had very worn brown carpet and old fashioned decor. Bathroom was new however and beds v comfortable. Not the same as other modernised rooms in the hotel which were of a higher standard. Although my price was the same as friends.

The spa facilities were outstanding. Pool temperature was perfect. The view from the huge jacuzzi with bubble beds was out of this world. 4 different saunas to choose from. Beautiful comfy beds to lounge around, in front of a roaring fire, or quiet corners to sit/lay and read or take a nap. Nice bar and restaurant area. Proximity to ski areas or hikes.. fantastic!

The rooms drains had a bad odor, so had to keep the door open. The hotel is next to the casino, that had music playing, with people milling around outside till the wee hours of the morning. On Saturday night it was 3am before the noise stopped. The breakfast was good. Just a small constructive criticism …soft boiled eggs were not soft at all on all 3 days we were there. Waffles and pancakes were hard as rocks. It would have been nice to have warm syrup instead of cold. Easy fix to put syrup on a cup warmer. Variety was very good. Service was excellent.

Maybe a little too wintery decor in summer? Not keen on bath robe policy- take down to reception on check out - used or not. Meal choice a bit restrictive - veal or catfish - neither appealed.
