There’s a comfortable lounge area they call a club, with coffee and teas and a bar and a small basic café. Chairs to read or do emails in. Separate areas so some semi-privacy. One night a guest played really nice guitar quietly for his friends, but it wasn’t at all intrusive. Real newspapers! Staff are helpful and friendly. The hotel is nicely situated on the river in a ‘newer’ part of a very old city. It’s a very pleasant walk across the river into the older parts of the city. I had a balcony from which I could see the river and the city and the two hills. The bed is comfortable and the room quiet.

The room is small and cheaply fitted out, sort of bad Ikea style. Functional enough, but irritating — the bathroom is for very small people, the mirror at an awkward angle for shaving or makeup , the sliding shower door feels as though it might fall off and leaks onto the bathroom floor etc.etc. All manageable enough but at this price point, and in a nice building, it feels as though it should be better.

The hotel is a good concept of having lots of communal space with drinks and snacks and a welcoming aspect. The location on the banks of the Rhone between two bridges (one pedestrian) to Presque Isle was exceptional, and the small splurge for a Rhone view room was worth it (with a French balcony even, on the 5th floor, see photo of the view from the room).

A single small elevator can lead to some waits especially if trying to go with more than minimal luggage. Also the room was extremely economical with space, which was fine for our two nights and a diet of being out and about, but if one is staying longer, or needs to work remotely, we would have found this a bit hampering. This may be best for couples or siblings, and bit tight for just friends.

Location, the modern room amenities, quietness of the room, the drinking water stations, Tim at the front desk is one of the most helpful front desk clerks I have encountered at any hotel.

The cost of breakfast. We didn't pay for it because it was so expensive, €20 each. For that price I expect a full hot and cold buffet, with eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes, pancakes, waffles, as well as cereals, juices, fruit, yoghurt, pastries, etc. I would expect a cook with an omelette station for made to order omelettes.

The room was beautiful and well designed (the extra price for the premium rooms with view is really worth it!). The bed was very comfortable. It was nice to have the club with the free coffee/hot drinks all day long. Amazing location as we could walk pretty much everywhere.

I know that they do that for environmental reasons, but a mini fridge in the room would have been greatly appreciated. It makes a big difference in your budget when you can keep some snacks and cold water in your room. The shower was also badly designed and leaked inside the bathroom (the temperature and pressure also changed randomly). The WiFi speed was really slow - and the TV had few channels (mostly news and sports).

Outstanding location on the river & a comfortable walk to key parts of the city, & major attractions as well as Part Dieu train station. Staff (in particular Allison) were super friendly and very helpful. Availability of all-day tea, coffee, fruit & snacks in the lovely lounge/dining area was excellent. Very spacious & quiet corner room with high ceilings & 4 beautiful big windows and a comfortable bed.

There were no proper wardrobes to hang clothes up; just a few hangers on a very small rack. Bathroom design was weird, had to walk through shower to get to the toilet?? It would’ve been good to have a bar fridge & bottle opener in the room as well as an ironing board & iron. Would have been good to have “fatter” pillows instead of the down ones which compress into pancakes. (We were happily given extra pillows so just slept on 2 each which was fine.) Our room was super quiet but if your room was anywhere near the lift it was noisy with announcing the floors & warnings re door closing etc - maybe the number of announcements could be reduced or the volume turned down?

Spacious river view 4 th floor suite , helpful staff , in-house cafeteria for breakfast or all day access to coffee,tea making as none are offered in the room .Ok Wifi .Good base to walk from into old town Lyon.Excellent soundproofing double openable windows for fresh air as there is no climate control of internal air circulation system …IE no aircon which could be an issue in summer heatwave .

Only one lift in large building with 6 floors to service right next reception desk which bottlenecks too easily on checkout .Other major “trust me ..I’m a designer “ flaw in otherwise classy Reno of classic architecture is the opportunity missed to provide a proper comfortable functional modern bathroom layout in ample space instead of an excessively glassed ( @ silly cost no doubt) wet room “Pod” with poor water pressure , and nearly enough room to swing a mascara wand ,let alone place toiletries .see photos . Lack of a bar fridge for 4 star was surprising also .

Very good location, nice staff, you can leave your luggage for free before check-in/after check-out. During weekends there is a late check-out possibility, there are free snacks and drinks all day lomg in the lounge area and the hotel is pet friendly. We needed a room change after the first night and there was no problem.

The blinds in the rooms on the 5th floor were hard to reach for people under 1,75m height.

We didn't have breakfast but the hotel gives free hot drinks to hotel guests at no cost. Very nice of them.

There is nothing special that we didn't like. The bathroom is a bit uncomfortable. Small. But completely fine. Nothing unusual.

The location was great, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The club had complementary coffee, tea, and juice throughout the day, with small snacks.

You entered the bathroom through the shower, and the rest of the bathroom was super small, so it got wet from the shower. There were just a few open shelves for unpacking. The toilet handle had to be jiggled after every other flush.

Our one-night stay at Okko Hotel was truly unforgettable! The hotel’s design, cleanliness, location, and staff were all exceptional. The breakfast was made of high-quality, healthy food, and we were especially impressed by how thoughtfully the hotel considers every little detail to ensure guests feel comfortable and valued. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone!
