Location ideal for seeing the center of Lyon, and joining in the festivities and weekend morning open markets along the river. Easy to catch the tram to get around, cross over to the other parts of Lyon. The hotel has friendly, helpful staff. Shout out to Thomas for great restaurant suggestions. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom large with magnifying mirror. Slippers and robes. Excellent A/C. Lyon is a great city to visit especially for its friendly atmosphere and why wouldn't it be with all the good food on offer?

Could not use fridge as it was only for drinks to purchase. But that's a minor inconvenience.

Staff were particularly helpful and efficient. The family room was very spacious and comfortable - my son enjoyed the curtains around his bunk bed! Quiet at night despite the central location.

Worth noting that onsite parking is only available to cars weighing less than 1900kg which rules out most modern hybrid SUVs, even modest-sized ones. Very good secure public parking available 3 mins away (with lots of EV chargers) costing c€30 per day. If I was being fussy, the external door to the room opens into the children's room and then you proceed into the main bedroom through another door - it would be reassuring to have an extra physical lock on the external door (not that the hotel felt insecure etc.)

The room was better than expected, lots of space, lovely balcony, great air conditioning, quiet, lots of towels. We walked from the station in a round 20 mins. Was ideally situated to get to the old town in about 20 mins. Trams and metros were nearby if you needed these.

The only issues we had no breakfast tea bags only flavoured ones, no milk of any time so bought in local shop and put into the fridge. 2 days we had no mugs in the room and only found out late at night on arrival back in the room so had to go to reception to get some.

The location was really good if what you are looking for is a good night sleep. It had a great view - of Hotel Part Dieu. It is only 10 minute walk from the city center, 20 minute to train station and very close to some amazing restaurants. We stayed in a suite room which was very spacious. The staff were really nice, Thomas from the reception was very helpful. The hotel was a bit old in terms of decoration and all but kept very well and clean.

The water pressure was very low which makes it difficult to take a shower, especially if you long hair.

All members of the staff were so kind, dedicated and helpful at all times. Breakfast was very good; we were impressed with the choice and variety. We also like the location; it was our second stay in this hotel.

The only disadvantage is that there is only one lift for guests and services. Unfortunately, during our weekend stay, it was out of order for around 12 hours, so we had to use the stairs up to our room on the 6th floor. Maybe management should consider sacrificing some precious space to install a second lift.

The location is very good. The room was average. There was nothing particular about the decoration. The bed was comfortable.

On the weekend, the noise outside of the hotel was absolutely horrible. People screaming, and laughing and drinking. As good and comfortable as the beds were, the pillows were thin and hard as a rock. There was only one type of pillow and the hotel could not offer us something different.

A decent breakfast, price charged only for adults, free for children. The location was perfect. The staff was nice, fluent in English and open to communication. The room was in decent size and comfy. Overall clean. The whole building is secure. If you plan to spend a couple of days at Old Town Lyon, this place is definitely a good option.

The decoration of the room could be better, given the price. Still, it wasn't disturbing. The place that they serve breakfast was a little bit crowded.

It’s a great location. Close to the tram (12min to Gare Part Dieu). But you can easily walk (20min). There is also a bus rue Mazenod to reach Parc de la tête d’or. The Presqu’île is within reach: walking 10-15min to rue de la République for shopping and an extra 10min to vieux Lyon. The hotel is therefore very well located. The executive rooms are large and confort. (Bath robes-sleepers-coffee machine). It’s clean. The hotel is quiet and calm. Breakfast is good quality compared to cost. If you prefer a higher end alternative go to Sofitel (it’s perfect) and if you want cheaper, there is a small supermarket 5minutes walk away.

I would have liked a room with a view because the hotel is located close to the river with sweeping views of Lyon.

This property was fantastic! The location is excellent everything you need is in walking distance. The facilities are up dated, clean and well maintained. But the true gem- the STAFF! Camelot was exceptional. But every single employee we met was professional, friendly and went above and beyond to ensure your needs were met. I am pretty high maintenance and didn’t know what I was going to get when I booked this hotel for the Taylor Swift Concert - but if all Best Westerns are this good - I may be switching from five star hotels!

The room was comfortable and modern. The bathroom was quite large and attractive. The staff I encountered were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was good. The location of the hotel was very good; not in the middle of the noisy tourist area, but still close enough to get to the sights of the city without too much walking.

Not a huge selection of nice nearby restaurants for supper (that I found).
