Good staff, pretty hotel (recent renovations) , very clean. I loved that cold flat and sparkling water and coffee etc was available any time - thank you. (And it was good ristretto!) Great air conditioning.

My room was so tiny and dark. I couldn't move my suitcase between the bed and wall to get it to the cupboard. But I loved the air conditioning. My main complaint is that the sink didn't drain and that's both gross and very unhygienic. I forgot to bring it up but my stay was so brief it may not have been fixed anyway. I just think that when it is being cleaned, it's obvious that it is very blocked so that should be taken care of and not left waiting for a guest to complain.

A very cozy hotel in a great location with a lot of restaurants! The staff is super nice. The receptionist was so kind to me even when she thought I was russian!

What a lovely stay all the staff were warm friendly and helpful particularly in resolving a couple of mishaps( completely our faults🫤) during our stay. The hotel is modern with a lovely ambience, spotlessly clean. We booked two double Comfort rooms rather than Classic to afford a little more space and they didn’t disappoint. The beds were comfortable ensuring a good nights sleep. Plenty of choice at breakfast and the all day free coffee and water were appreciated especially in the hot weather. On checking out we were recommended a different route for our return to the airport which was indeed much simpler and easier on our old legs than the inward trip. Would definitely return if we were to visit Lyon again in the future.

Location is excellent. Next to metro, shops, cafes, bars, of course lots of food options.

The WIFI access was over convoluted and the steps to connect didn't work sometimes. I just want to connect and use the internet. Here you have to connect to WIFI, provide a login username and password that the front desk provides, then provide your email. You have limited access to check your email for code. If everything goes right, you might have internet because I completed these steps and internet worked briefly during my 2 day stay. Biggest negative about this place. I ended up just using my phone's hotspot. Seriously, why the complication for internet?

The hotel is located in the heart of the new city of Lyon. You can go around on foot easily and reach all the most important points of Lyon. The old city is only a few minutes away on foot, crossing the river by choosing one of the many characteristic bridges of the city. The strong point of the hotel is definitely the reception staff. All the girls I met were smiling, available to suggest how to best enjoy the city, professional and clear in explaining the services offered by the structure. A very nice surprise. An element of no small importance is the possibility of having free water and drinks for the entire stay. Excellent!

Everything was perfect!

The location was perfect, just across the street from Hôtel Dieu. I liked the coffee machine in the lobby available for guests any time of the day. The staff was friendly and helpful - contact with the reception prior to the arrival was exemplary. Breakfast was decent enough.

The room was a bit dim, with one small window on the internal courtyard. The building itself is very narrow, and so are the rooms, strangely shaped to accommodate required infrastructure. A TV set is comically small, just an afterthought. The bed was quite small, a big frame person would find it uncomfortable.

We really appreciated the 24 hour reception, every single person working at the hotel was superfriendly and helpful! The location is very central and easy to explore the city from. There is a water and coffee bar in the lobby which also was a big plus when you need a pick me up in the afternoon. The room felt clean and the bathroom also.

We had a big waterstain in the ceiling of our room, and felt the standard was a little lower than the pictures show. The size of the room (small double room) was bigger than we expected though so were happy about that! The hotel does not have any umbrellas to loan, which is a small detail but actually matters a lot when it is pouring down and you are going to dinner. I would expect it from any hotel.

I really loved staying at Republik and would love to stay there again if the opportunity occurs, I would live to stay there again. It’s very well situated between the two rivers, close to Hôtel-Dieu de Lyon, is reachable by every possible means of transport including velo’v (city bikes). The staff is knowledgeable, open, ready to help any minute and a genuinely friendly. The lobby and the rooms are designed with a lot of attention to detail and modern tendencies. I really recommend this place. There are shops, bars and boutiques nearby but you can’t hear any of the noise. Coffee and water are free at the lobby but the coffee machine is reserved for the paying guests during the breakfast hours, there is also a great coffee shop two steps away.

Sensational location at the heart of the city, the staff were amazing with us, super attentive and helpful. We arrived earlier than expected and they let us leave our baggage while the room was getting ready. Same for the check out, we had a late train back home, they advised us to leave our baggage until late night.

Our bed was a bit too soft, it was a bit disappointing because I am used to soft beds but this one was way too much. I was walking up at the middle of the night.

Great location at the center, very close to the metro station. They offer free coffee and snack all day long. The hotel looks quite new and clean. The staff is very friendly. I would definitely stay at this hotel if I come to Lyon again.

The room window was not seeing outside, so it was a bit depressing, but we did not stay in the room for so long (used it almost only for sleeping) so it was not a big issue.
