I couldn't help but notice upon arrival a smell of soap downstairs but also throughout my room! The staff was kind and very accommodating (don't hesitate to ask, if you have any questions). It was written before that the elevator starts on the 1st floor, no surprise there, and I had no problem with a bag and my little dog, who was also welcome there! My room was clean. The city is very nice and this place is in a "chic quartier". I arrived by car and parked in the nice "Parking LPA Célestins" which is less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. FYI. from 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 a.m. I paid a little less than €30. Overall I felt safe. Good value for money too. I would definitely come back and I recommend. Merci Hotel Elysée!

Perfect place for a budget stay. Room was small but clean, private bathroom was nice. Did not partake in breakfast but looked lovely. Amazing location, close to so many shops and restaurants and the old town.

Lots of stairs to get to the top, the shower didn't have an interior handle so it was a little sketchy trying to get out. Top floor was an A-frame room so maybe wouldn't be as comfortable for taller people, shower was also very tiny. Fine for people that are shorter.

My wife and I spent 3 days in this hotel. We really appreciated the kindness, the availability, and the professionalism of the staff. The room was clean and quiet. The location is in the heart of the old city, close to the main attractions of the city. There are many local and good restaurants and cafes at walking distance. We fully enjoyed our visit.

Location, location ! Very friendly, and happy not to speak English if we're are obviously trying to speak French .24 hour reception. Best sound proofing if you happen to have a road side room. Simple, cheap, European breakfast.

No coffee making facilities in the room, and minimal soap. . You will just have to accept the typical small shower and lift.

Basic continental breakfast at reasonable price. Great location in business/shopping district in Lyon. Hotel stall very friendly and helpful.. Hotel is old but very well maintained and up to date. Access to breakfast room comprised a winding narrow staircase. Quaint old world charm, Nicely refurbished breakfast room looked like it previously served as a cellar.

Access to room is from first floor using stairs or lift that is very small. Access from ground floor reception is via a winding stair which was difficult to navigate with heavy luggage. Coffee/tea making facilities nor tissues were available in the room

Aside from having to carry luggage up to first floor this place is great. This is a European hotel with small elevator. Location was excellent and a great value. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Great communication emails explaining parking.

Elevator to ground floor. Be prepared to walk stairs to get to breakfast.

Breakfast was typical French, coffee and croissants. The location was good, either metro or city bus from the train station and a short walk. The hotel was close to shopping and restaurants. Being in the city center made it easy to see museums and other attractions.

The shower pretty small , but again typical for the older city hotels. 😊

The hotel has an excellent location, conveniently close to all the places I wanted to visit. The metro station is just a three-minute walk away. The rooms were clean and promptly serviced as soon as I left. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The elevator can be a bit inconvenient if you're staying on the 6th floor, but overall, it wasn't a major issue.

Located in heart of all the shopping center, just beside Louis Vuitton store. Walking distance to old town, Basilica and major food joints. Clean rooms.

The elevator starts from 1st floor, you have to take stairs with your luggage from ground floor, so if you are staying in 1st floor, then the elevator is of no use. No kettle in the room, cheap plastic glasses. very small shower cubicle and heavier people will find it difficult to get inside. bonus: All the shops nearby remain close on Sunday in Lyon if you are planning a trip here. So location advantage of being nearby to all shops does not benefit.

The ease with which the team stored our bikes and the help they gave us when we left the hotel. The breakfast was well organised and plentiful. The room cleaned beautifully and all the staff were very friendly. The location was excellent for the cycle route, historic sites, and cafés/restaurants.
