Excellent location right in the center of Lyon- close to shopping, museums, old town.

Definitely not a four star hotel, rather a decent three star. They screwed up our reservation previous night- we thought we had another day in Lyon - but around noon they apologizes and said we must leave at this time because they had other people coming.

The hotel location is great, just steps from everything you might think of: stores, restaurants, French passages (there is one next to it), Place des Jacobins is next to the hotel, and Place Bellecour is three blocks away. The property is in great shape and the rooms are well appointed and clean. A coffee machine is also among the amenities, the hotel also provides bottled water on a daily basis. The staff is great, from the moment we arrived from Strasbourg we felt very welcomed, I don't recall the name of the young lady who did the check in for us but she was great and helped us a lot with direction on the very first minutes of being there. We also have to thank Elise and Jules who on a daily basis helped us and were very nice to us. I might not go back to Lyon but if I did I would undoubtedly go to the same hotel.

All was perfect. No complains at all.

Excellent location in the 2nd arr, close to Rue Mercier where there are lots of restaurants, lovely shopping and an easy walk to the old town area. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful and our room was comfortable with 2 x waters provided daily. There is breakfast available if you wish. We appreciated that there was a magnifying mirror in the bathroom.

We found the pillows to be very flat and uncomfortable. There is an overhead rain shower but the accompanying hand held shower was on a very low-set bracket which made it difficult to use if you don’t want to use the high overhead shower. This could be improved with an additional bracket.

Location is in the heart of the 1st and 2nd districts. Easy enough to get around from there. There was no transit running the day we arrived by train due to the holiday so had to take a taxi from the train station as it was a bit too far to walk with luggage. Good elevator. Clean room and property. Staff was friendly.

The room was VERY small. No room on one side of the bed and I banged into the open window trying to get off the bed to use the bathroom. Probably best to upgrade to a larger room if you can since I think ours was a "Classic" and it was just too small.

Mercure Beaux Arts has a great location !!! The Hotel es very well kept and it does have a very French feek to it !!! All the staff - from reception to breakfast room very helpful & attentive !!! Perefct size, not too grand but very well supplied !!!

Nothing I did not like !!! To us it worked beautifully and we only have great satisfaction from our 4 day stay in it !!! Our room very quiet - as I requested- and well appointed with a very contempo decoration !!! The beds and quilts were so perfect and comfortable !!! Great !!!

The breakfast was really good because of the wide offering and quality of the food. The personnel was very kind, clear and ready to help. The location in the heart of Lyon makes it ideal also in case of sightseeing (which I got to do a bit, even if I was there for work)

Maybe minor, but I would have liked if it were possible to exercise in a gym. The room was rather small and the toilet is separated from the bathroom, and I do not like it

Great location, lovely room. We didn't have any hotel breakfast because frankly there are so many great food options around for the same (or even better) price.

Staff at checkin was a bit confused about our ski bags, suggesting we leave them downstairs because they wouldn't fit in the lift. Turned out to not be true — their lift was huge and no issues putting our bags into it at all.

Location was brilliant! Staff very professional and friendly. They even stood up as I entered which I thought was incredibly respectful. I loved that I could purchase local crafts from the gift shop in reception and try local beer tasting , could walk out the front door to amazing shopping, restaurants with everything within walking distance distance.

Noises from next door rooms. No noise from outside though.

We had told the hotel that we would be coming to Lyon to celebrate our wedding anniversary and when we arrived in our room we were greeted by heart shaped balloons and pink and red paper hearts on the bed with a nice note wishing us a happy anniversary. We had paid for the "privilege" room which large and was well located on the corner of the building with large windows looking onto Place Jacobins. The breakfast buffet was great including an option for freshly squeezed orange juice and the special Lyonaisse Praline. The location could not be more ideal, centrally located for walking to all the city's attractions and with a taxi stand just on the Place Jacobins should you want a lift further afield. The room came with four rectangular pillows, two firm and two soft; the staff brought us one more soft pillow on request as I am not fond of the firm pillow, it was nice to have the option. They also brought us more of the decaf coffee pods on request.

I would have preferred a room on a higher floor as the view would have been better. I thought about requesting it but since they had gone to the trouble to decorate for our anniversary, I did not feel that I could ask. The view was nice nonetheless.

The location is great. Close to restaurants, coffee shops and stores. Easy access to the old town, train station and the main tourists attractions

Minor details about the room made the experience a bit worse. Unfortunately the air con wasn’t working properly, causing a hot night. Also a blinking light (not even a minor, just annoying)
