Great location, at a short distance from bus / metro, coffee shops, restaurants. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was good value for the money in comparison with other hotels I stayed in my trip to France.

The hotel was a classic hotel experience, with real keys that you drop of at the desk when you go out, took me back to my trips to France from 35 years ago. Friendly front desk staff, good sized room with a view to the theater and square. Room was clean and nicely appointed with a good sized desk. A sparkling water dispenser in the breakfast room was a nice touch. The real draw for the hotel is the location, less than a block from the river and the 5 day a week market on the quay. Vieux Lyon is a very quick walk over a pedestrian bridge. There is an incredible array of restaurants and shopping within a very short walk. The area around the hotel feels very safe. We were able to do almost everything by walking.

The shower worked well but it was hard to keep the bathroom floor from flooding. Always ended up having to mop it up with the bath mat.

When we arrived, we found our assigned room had a shower over the bath. Ordinarily, not a problem, but I had recently hurt my back and asked if we might upgrade to a room with a walk-in shower. While this couldn't be achieved that 1st night, they happily moved us the next day to a much larger and updated room with a walk-in shower.....at no extra cost. I fully expected to have to pay for an upgrade, so this was very accommodating. The room we ended up with overlooked Les Celestins Theatre de Lyon and fore court. Clean, comfortable with excellent soundproofing. Felt very safe. In a beautiful part of the city with shopping nearby. A couple of minutes walk to the Saone River and Old Lyon on the other side. Would definitely stay here again.

The room is fine with everything you'd need: comfortable bed, modern bathroom w/ separate W.C. always a bonus! Good lighting and heat/air. Quiet. There is lift. Lovely staff and delicious breakfast (all organic products and baked goods. Lots of coffee on demand at breakfast.) It is in a wonderful location 1 block from the river and near many shops and restaurants. Pedestrian bridge to Old Town 1 block away. It is situated just off Place Celestins and Just a few blocks from 2 more squares and more shops/bistros, etc. It is also very tastefully decorated with lovely original artwork in all the rooms.

I cannot think of how it could be improved! This is a little gem.

UNBEATABLE CENTRAL LOCATION...My 5th stay here acknowledges my satisfaction with this venue. Post Covid it has “slipped” a notch (But not much). Comfortable bed, excellent breakfast room and service Staff is welcoming and efficient. An elevator for the stair-challenged. Location is off-the main arteries, easy walk to Bellecour and the Metro system, quiet at night. 10-minute walk across the bridge to Old Lyon. Restaurants abound in close proximity. Room size for the bigger levels is excellent. Finally given prices in similar locations this property deserves a "10" for its value.

Did not get a bathtub this time, not a deal breaker, minibar was empty although my Booking reservation cited it as available. Missing extra toiletries and body lotion in the bathroom. Not an issue for me, but no English channels available on the television. Finally, a safety issue, no shower mat to prevent slippage, and no hand bars.

Great value for money, really well decorated for a three star hotel, good air conditioning on a hot summer day, decent breakfast, beautiful bathroom, great central location, friendly, welcoming staff, a water refill station

Probably the toilet could be better placed - I think for a taller/bigger person it might be a problem to squeeze in the toilet space, but it was accessible to me

The hotel is truly in an excellent location. It’s a lively area. I especially appreciated that I could safely walk everywhere with my 13-year-old son. At the same time, there are cafés, bars, restaurants, and shopping areas all around. It’s really a great hotel. The staff are wonderful.

Rooms are a bit small but its ok.. because the other things are perfect.

I LOVE LYON. Warmest ever welcome to any city I've been in. Hotel is right next to the opera/theater (closed during my stay, oops) and 10m from the rhone and LUXURY shopping. Building also has one of the nicest lobbies I've been in for this category of hotel and very well maintained. Note: This hotel does not have a hot water kettle in the room and the bed and room are on the smaller side, I did not mind but if you are over 6ft you may.

Great location in a quiet neighbourhood, near restaurants and sights. The room was really comfortable and gave me the best night's sleep I've had in a hotel. Check-in was welcoming, and the staff was very helpful.

The hotel is pet-friendly, which is a positive feature. However, there are instances where some pet owners aren't considerate, as I experienced being woken up early by barking. However, the receptionist was really understanding and immediately took action. I therefore can't fault the hotel in this case.

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel so clearly we liked it. The location could not be more perfect. Restaurants, tourist information office was all within walking as was the main plaza Bellcore from which one could take buses or mettro to the train station or elsewhere. Also taxi stnds etc. The quaint old town was within walking distnce. Half a street away from the hotel is the Rhone river where there is an outdoor food market several times a week and restaurant where one could have a drink along the riverside. The staff are all professional as well as friendly with a welcoming attitude of helping clients with any questions about Lyon. Our room was very clean and roomy.

Two of the days we were in the hotel, they were renovating some of the rooms but they were able to muffle the noise and cover all the stairwells and floors so there wasn't any construction dust. Really, if they didn't tell us at the front desk that this was happening, we would not have known as the noise was minimum.
