The bilingual staff go beyond "reception" and "check-out." The suite was large with windows (not all rooms have windows). Breakfast room staff were willing to work with my food preferences. And remembered them. The lobbies on each floor are great for reading and for families to play cards, etc. The housekeepers are cheerful and professional and care whether your room is suitably cared for.

Music from the casino (or perhaps an outside venue) seeps into room on Friday and Saturday nights. Is just the drum and other low notes but is incessant and makes falling asleep hard. I prefer having breakfast as included or not included and apparently Urban is only inclusive.

very good location, proper hotel with all that you would expect, clean, large room, very nice furniture and organization of the common space (at least on the fifth floor where our room was located). all in all, very good value for money

it has parking spaces, but it is a bit difficult to park. also, as it is not located on the Main Street (just a few meters away, passing the corner), the street that you would use to access the hotel is a bit shady during late evening / night. we went out around 8-9 p.m. and there was less pedestrian traffic and I saw there are homeless people on the adjoining streets. however, be mindful that this is something to be expected in downtown San Jose

Great hotel with a nightmare boxed-in parking structure, but it was manageable in the end. The room was large, the hot water was hot, and the staff were super friendly. This hotel is right in the heart of San Jose, near an open-air shopping mall.

Word of warning: some of the rooms don't have windows. They switched me to a windowed room, but I either missed this in the booking info or it's not immediately apparent in room descriptions. To be fair, I was looking for places with a parking structure for my rental car and didn't even think to think that hotels can not have windows.

The room was super big and had everything we need. The bathroom was modern. The Hotel has many areas where you can sit and chill. A breakfast room, gym and sauna, casino and money exchange directly in the next building and only 1 minute walk to the city.

It‘s a 9 and not a 10 because I wasn‘t very happy with the receptionist. We came in and it wasn‘t a nice greating, but the guy who checked us in was very nice. But when I checked out they took 20$ from my credit card without saying anything to me. I asked them why and got many hours no answer. After many hours they told me it was because one towel was dirty. I think that‘s too much for something you can wash off but the main fact was that they didn‘t told me anything and I had do wait many hours for an answer.

Shame there was no restaurant as walking in San Jose at night not pleasant with all the drug addicts and beggars nearby plus very easy to get lost at night. Maybe because it was a public Holiday but the din of load music from bars nearby hard to sleep. Like so many Hotels these days the sheets and duvet tucked in tight and folded under at bottom of the bed like a straitjacket! ( we just pulled everything out at night before getting in lol

The location is really good... in the city centre and walking distance to markets, restaurants and attractions. Rooms are decent The staff was very kind and let us use the facilities (showers) hours after check- out !! Breakfast was decent.

Only recommendation for traveller is to inform the hotel staff that you have luggage / suitcases, so they can give you room accessible with elevators. Ours was bit tricky as we had to drag the bags over stairs ! May be this is something Urban Green Hotel & Suites should specify clearly in the description ?

Great breakfast - especially due to the care of the breakfast staff. The chef (I do not remember his name) was a bundle of kind energy ready to help in whatever way he could. The staff was all helpful and the room was splendid. We were surprised to see that the room was two floors with two bathrooms as well as a kitchen. Spacious and lovely. There is a kitchen but no pans or utensils.

The shower worked well but was very short. The other person traveling with we is about 6'4" and almost had to duck a bit to stand under the shower head. Also, the water was definitely warm but never as hot as I was used to. It wasn't unpleasant just not as hot.

Urban Green Hotel is in the heart of San Jose city. As soon as you enter the hotel the staff are classy not only in their attire but also in how they communicate with you ! The hotel is sparkling clean . Our room was on a floor that had a blend between a jungle theme ,very cozy with book shelves and chairs to sit and read if you wanted , with a waterfall music playing in the background. Which was so refreshing to come back to after walking around in the heat on the bustling streets of San Jose. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the bed was comfy, sheets were pressed and clean. The shower had good pressure .The room came with small mini fridge. The hotel was extremely accommodation they provided us with information to near by restaurants and made excellent recommendations. The reservation came with breakfast included and they had something for everyone there, whether it be the traditional Tico breakfast or the American breakfast , eggs, ham and pancakes , The presentation of the food was beautiful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying or passing through San Jose Costa Rica. The only thing is that the hotel rooms have no windows , but that is minor.

We stayed in the Presidential Suite which was spacious and comfortable. Prior to our check-in time, we were able to leave our suitcases and bags in the office behind the front desk so that we could go on an excursion outside the city. The staff was very responsive through the booking.com chat. The location of Urban Green Hotel and Suites was central to all the museums in San Jose and also close to the international airport. Parking underneath the hotel was safe and convenient although tight for an SUV. The breakfast was simply amazing with traditional Costa Rican options as well as waffles for the less adventurous. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful.

The personnel is very helpful and nice. The bed is one of the best I have ever slept. The decoration inside and outside the bedrooms gives us a nice feeling. The room is very silent, besides being in the city center, only in the morning one can hear a little of the laundry room and the cars in the street.

The garage couldn't be worse, it's very complicated to park in any spot there. Breakfast war ok, but the lady who cooks eggs for the guest is super nice. The ceiling in the room is low, I felt a bit claustrophobic.
