The Check~in Desk Clerk was great and she was very helpful in recommending a great restaurant to eat in. The VIEW is spectacular. The Balcony with the 2 rocking chairs was fantastic. I had stayed in this facility for Business years ago before it was an ECONOLODGE and the rooms were much nicer and the balcony rocking chairs a GREAT COMFORT to have.

As I said above the VIEW was fantastic but only ~ BEFORE~ the sun goes down ~ *then the parking lot light's glare is so bright and aimed right into the rooms that it was impossible to enjoy the night skies with football field style lights glaring in your eyes. We so wanted to see the mountains and the sky at night but were not able to. The lights should be set up facing DOWN and not in our faces on the Balcony. Also is was impossibly hard to get the brightness out of the room to be able to go to sleep. The back parking lot needs some work ~ on its cleanliness ~ it looked trashy when we drove in ~ It could use some landscaping and flowers along the back side to make it look more upbeat and inviting.

You may not expect much from Econo Lodge. But this little hotel greatly exceeded my expectations! The front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was like new and nicely decorated. The view from the private balcony was excellent. I did not partake of the breakfast, but it looked very nice when I checked out. I definitely plan to stay here again when I am in the Waynesville area. And the price was truly excellent.

The only thing that wasn't so great was the traffic noise. But it was made up for by the view and other good things specified in this review.

The view from the front side of the motel is stunning. The rooms are older but servicable, the mattress could do with a little TLC, the pillows were really nice. I love that we can bring our well behaved travel companion dog here, that there is a fridge that works, that the balconys have rockers, it is a simple stay, not luxurious, but always meets our needs.

The bathrooms really need an upgrade, but they were clean and functional. It is not a dislike, it is just a suggestion.

The location was close to grocery stores and restaurants. Beautiful mountain view. Friendly staff. I loved that the room was updated with laminated plank floors (no dirty dingy carpet) and the vanity mirror had LED back lighting and very clean.

The sheets were clean, however, the top layer of the bed, there was a red thin sheet/blanket that was stained and dirty. It looked like it had not been washed in a while.

Convenient location

The shower spread all over the bathroom.. The shower curtain would stay in place while taking a shower.. That's why the water was on the floor from taking a shower. The ice bucket was cracked ..so I found water all over the counter top the next day. No shower gel for body wash.

The faculty is located on a hillside with a beautiful view of the city and mountains. Traveling the drive to it may be challenging in the winter. The facility had signs of wear (paint scraps on doors) but was clean and had been updated. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

There was limited parking for the third floor rooms so we parked on the lower level and walked a narrow wooden ramp and steps to get to our room.

The balcony with the beautiful Mountain View was definitely the best part, especially if you take in the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening.

It was a little dated on the outside BUT the inside was clean and cozy.

Beautiful setting with rocking chairs on the balcony to view the mountains. Since our room was on the end, we had a bonus window to see the mountains! Staff were efficient and kind. Room was clean and all worked well.

The king mattress sagged in the middle but it was clean. The breakfast is limited due to space but the waffle maker worked well.

The view was fantastic. The breakfast was great. The beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The ice machine was not working. But we were able to get ice from the office. The light in the bathroom was motion sensitive and timed out. Which is fine, but it needs a nightlight.

The landscape was beautiful. Driving up the little mountain was nice. My room was very clean. The pool was clean. The employees was excellent, all so nice.

One of the door locks was broke, things like that could be updated and the breakfast could have been a little better for the price.
