very modern beautiful beach area clean

The elevators kept breaking, got stuck in the elevator, one morning for 20 minutes. The hotel is mainly a Hasidic Jewish hotel. I felt a little uncomfortable being undressed with a bikini on the beach while the orthodox women were fully clothed going in the water no discrimination against them. I just felt like they were looking at us, like we were the minority.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the rooftop pool area was great. The location right on the beach was amazing. And the hotel was beautiful. And the hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The check-in and checkout processes were very slow due to system errors, but the staff was very accommodating. The main level pool was not clean. The elevators were slow because one was out of service. Cocktails were very pricey.

Location was good rooms clean

The hotel was overcrowded most of the time with people start other properties belonging to this hotel which had a dramatic effect on the atmosphere both in the hotel and on the beach with the beach chairs etc I paid over the top rates for this hotel due to its location feel that the service offered did not reflect the price I paid . The food and drinks on offer were also expensive

We loved the hotel, the lobby is gorgeous. The staff is polite, kind and professional. The hotel has its private bitch which is very clean and they provide chairs and umbrellas.

We loved our room, BUT a few things made this hotel feel CHEAP. Coffee is bad. AC is loud. Shower products are cheap with no smell. No drinking water provided in the room. If the hotel will fix these things, it will be a 100% the best hotel!

The room was very large and very upscale I was pleasantly surprised with the fact that it was really such a lovely facility. Beach chairs  pink, so it is very easy to find it on a beach walk. The area has many restaurants and shops only a half a block away, including aesthetic services, nail bar, etc. it was extremely convenient for a one night stay and a day in Miami on route to Brazil. I was very happy with my choice.

They include a tip on the bill and then leave a line for tip so I didn’t realize I was tipping on the tip which was annoying and they need to address it. I understand they do this, because there are many different visitors who may not realize that a tip is expected but unfair to travellers who’s are not paying close attention and are not a custom to seeing this already included.

The hotel has perfect location within the access to beach, very nice and clean. Staff were polite, some of them friendly and talkative. However prices were really high if not overpriced (especially in restaurant). Generally I was satisfied and enjoyed my stay.

Celebrated my Birthday weekend with my daughter at the Grand Beach Hotel Surfside. It was my third visit and once again it lived up to the elegant, classy stay I had previously experienced. The staff was friendly and helpful from the bar, restaurant, gift shop, to the fantastic workout we enjoyed with the fitness trainer, Michael. We received excellent recommendations for bars and restaurants for our downtown Miami night out. The Food and Beverage Director greeted us during our last breakfast before our departure, thanking us for our stay. A wonderful experience all around. Definitely will be back.

Location is sensational, very friendly staff, coffee shop and bakery in the hotel, good service around the pool including water toys for kids, direct beach access, excellent SPA treatments, many nice restaurants nearby, no south beach buzz

Noisy A/C when sitting on the balcony (poolside), some furniture required fixing, no breakfast buffet (but very delicious offerings to order by menu)

Beautiful resort. Great location. Two bathrooms in the hotel room was great.

The private beach was great but it was extremely crowded. The guy giving chairs didn't give a choice where to sit and tries to place your chairs in middle of crowded areas far from the water. I think there is room for improvement in this area. I also didn't find the guy giving the towels to be very gracious and hated the "towel card" system. Felt like I was in high school or camp and not at a four star hotel.

Great location, with a beautiful beach. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The kids spent hours in the pool and enjoyed it a lot.

The AC is really noisy, it's hard to sleep with the AC on. Some of the equipment in the fitness center is missing parts or not working at all.
