It’s beach front, room was clean, awesome chainsaw carved wooden artwork around the property. The room had a guest Roku tv so you could sign into your own streaming apps and Spotify. They offer free coffee, tea and water. They have a microwave and toaster for use. Refrigerator in our room. Great stay for the price.

The walls are thin, you can hear whoever is in the next room. The outside lounging chairs by the beach were all covered in bird droppings. Not a big deal if you had a towel/blanket to lay down on the chair beforehand. We had an ocean view room and I don’t think the room had air conditioning, we didn’t need it during our stay. There’s a fan though.

Room was a nice size and very quiet, Bed was comfortable and bathroom was well presented. The view was lovely and the grounds very pleasant to walk around of an evening. Plenty of parking and good WIFI.

Although there was a fridge in the room there wasn't anywhere to make drinks or breakfast, there are facilities in the lobby but its a bit of a faf each time you fancy a cup of tea or a piece of toast to go downstairs and hope no one else is using the facilities, a kettle and a toaster in the room would have been nice. The balcony could do with a bit of a clean up but overall very good.

Good value. Close to our hiking destination the following day so we could get an early start for a big hike. It is right next to a secondary highway but that is quiet during the night. Otherwise the cars sound almost like waves crashing. Appreciated the coffee and tea in the lobby as well as the use of a microwave. The view on the ocean is fabulous! Their filtered water was also delicious.

Great location near the ocean with a superb view. Very quiet and not in the town of Campbell River which was very relaxing. I like to keep an eye on my vehicle and parking is plentiful and secure.

Rooms are basic - and no continental breakfast. There are only a couple of restaurants in this area so need to travel into the town for food.

The property has beautiful views, it's a very nice setting. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My room was nice, clean, generally everything was good.

There is coffee in the lobby, but no continental breakfast. There aren't many options for breakfast nearby, so we needed to improvise. I don't think breakfast was supposed to be included in the room rate, but it would have been a welcome convenience.

I'm a repeat customer of the Ocean Resort. I book when I'm in Campbell River for appointments and am always happy with the cleanliness, comfort, lovely location and the amenities provided. What stands out to me is their helpful friendly staff who do a great job. This time I asked if we could be moved to the ground floor as my room was booked upstairs. The lady on front desk that day did a little rearranging and even showed me a ground floor room before I checked in. If you're able to catch a sunset or sunrise here you won't be disappointed, they are spectacular.

The location next to the ocean is superb, the house is older but clean and well kept, the price is very reasonable, the staff leave you to your privacy and booking couldn't have been easier. This is my second time at the beach house and I highly recommend staying at this quiet, clean resort.

Nothing. The booking and check in was easy, if you need coffee, towels, condiments, bedding or whatever, the staff is right there accommodating you.

When my friend forgot her jacket in the room the owner called and texted us just as we were driving away to get ahold of us before we left. Much appreciated!!! Thank you!!

The coffee wasn’t very good in the lobby. Also the fridge was leaking when we arrived but the desk staffing is not 24 hours so we told the staff the next morning. They were responsive and asked if they should fix it right away.

The view was amazing. We love staying in hotels, the hard thing about hotels is that they are almost never clean enough.. you can see handprints on the walls and skin oils around light switches etc.. this hotel was very very clean, the beds were comfortable, and I love that the rooms don’t have carpet.

The only thing that wasn’t the greatest.. but didn’t bother us too much.. when other people left their rooms the closing of doors is quite loud.. this is because of how the door handles work..

This is our second stay, and probably won't be our last. This seaside hotel is humble yet classy, way nicer than anything else in comox or campbell river at this price range. Rooms feel fresh and spotless, plenty of positives to this place. You can tell they are health conscious with filtered water available, good quality soap and shampoo in a dispenser. The bedding doesn't smell of scented cleaners. Really worth the short drive out of town if you're visiting CR or the valley.

The noisy highway is on the opposite side, so book a seaside room if they are available - worth the extra for the sunrises anyway : )
