It was very clean, very beautiful older hotel and very cozy rooms. The balconies were really nice. The staff are absolutely fantastic. They are so friendly and so kind, we had a great time because of them. The front desk service was absolutely fantastic. They helped us check in an hour early because we were playing a show at the all ages venue that night. And they were beyond amazing, even when we got back. My bandmate had asked for a pitcher so he could grab some water and the front desk staff had not only found us a pitcher but brought us up a pitcher of cold water and some nice lemon water. It was such a kind gesture after we had been playing a hot show all night. We will definitely be returning. Between the price and the amazing staff. The well managed and stocked breakfast area, and the lovely woman working it was also a massive bonus for us. As someone who worked in a hotel for a few years, it’s really wonderful staying somewhere where people genuinely care. Highly recommend!! We checked in on Saturday Aug 2, please let the staff know how appreciative we are of them <3 I hope that Travelodge understands how great they’ve got it with their staff <3
There were very few outlets in the hotel room

Friendly staff! Our ferry was very delayed so we didn't check in until 1am. It looked like a lot of other people were trying to get rooms too but the woman who was working was very calm, quick with check in and smiling. Appreciated that after our 8hr ordeal with BC ferries.
Arriving so late there were no parking spots so had to park on the street, which was fine because it was free. However I'm not sure what we would have done if there wasn't any street parking left (especially at 1am). We noticed the hotel parking lot had a bus taking up 7 or 8 spaces and a pickup truck pulling a boat also taking up 4-5 spots. In my opinion those two vehicles should have been parked on the street.

I stayed at Travelodge by Wyndham Nanaimo for two nights and three days, and I was extremely satisfied with my stay. I especially want to thank the lady at the reception—unfortunately, I can’t remember her name, and I truly regret that—but she was incredibly helpful. She recommended great places to visit and wonderful spots to eat, which really made my trip special. The rooms were very clean and comfortable; I felt right at home. The hotel’s central location was also a big plus—many places were within walking distance. If I ever come back to Nanaimo, I will definitely stay here again!

It's a good place to stay for a night or two. Close to a ferry terminal, if you arrive late by a ferry from Vancouver (but you'll still need a car, I think). You will get a small breakfast: muffins, some fruits, hot oat meal, coffee, tea, juice. Room, service, shower - all good. Great for the price.
Just small things, nothing mayor: - the door in the bathroom didn't close properly at first - breakfast could have more variety and hot options, but it'll get you going - asked for deposit for the room, which was not expected, but returned it next day

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room service was exceptional with fresh towels and toiletries each night with the room cleaned an and beds made up daily as well. There was a light continental breakfast included by the hotel management at no charge (not required by Wyndham. The room rates were very good as well and much better than any other hotels in the area by a wide margin. Location is close to Nanaimo center and near the business route. The room came complete with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker with coffee, hair dryer and ironing board with iron. TV with cable and Wi-Fi internet also included. Plenty of free parking was available around the exterior of the building.
The building is older and the exterior perhaps needs some paint and maintenance but the rooms were very tidy and clean with great rates so it was overall a very good value.

Breakfast was basic- but filled our bellies. There was some missed garbage in our ice bin but didn’t notice til we were getting ready to leave. Beds were so comfy. It was very quiet. However the staff were so amazing ! Both front desk and house keeping made time to have chats with us as we were coming and going. They were quick to answer any questions we had and share their own experiences about the topics we talked about. It was very nice having staff make our interactions so personable and welcoming. What I enjoyed the most as well was the house keeping staff had amazing customer service. Between noticing the automatic door not working or seeing me and my baby about to go get breakfast - they were on the ball on getting attention to the door and empty coffee. This was the first time I’ve stayed here and I will definitely be back !
Maybe a double check of less common used items to ensure there’s no garbage left in those places.

We weren’t sure at first of this hotel but once we entered, the lady, the front desk was so accommodating so friendly so welcoming the room was so cosy and bougie. It just blew me away. They had the most beautiful water and we had the best sleep it was just absolutely stunning. I highly highly recommend this hotel. It suited me and my children and we will definitely be going back. Also the breakfast was a 10 out of 10 so generous just absolutely amazing experience.
Everything was amazing

The accommodation is really close to the port and can be easily found. The room was clean and standard furnished. The advantage of our room was the small balcony with a view. We chose the accommodation mainly because of the free breakfast, but it didn't impress us that much.
If you arrive very late, you may have problems parking your car. When we arrived before midnight (by the evening ferry), the parking lot was full except for two spaces. Breakfast consisted of nothing but sweet muffins and yoghurt apart from drinks.

Nice rooms, very clean and spacious. Nice beds. Staff was good too. The breakfast spread, though it didn't have bread, had some nice options and was filling. We stayed only for a night, and got good value for money.
Not "didn't like" but we seriously wondered why they wouldn't keep something as simple as bread for breakfast. It didn't bother us, but we were definitely curious.
