The room was set up nicely and functional. it was very clean. I loved the decor throughout. We were only there for a quick sleepover after a wedding, but were impressed if you were to stay longer with the room and amenities.

We had specifically booked there so we could go to the bar after our event. it stopped food early and closed up early. There were many places close by though. We had difficulty getting out of the parking garage the next day. Contacting by phone and getting the company that deals with things was more corporate and not customer service friendly. The lady I dealt with later, Heather, was very friendly though and helpful.

We have stayed here before -- the rooms/suites are beautifully appointed, comfortable and spacious. The bed was excellent and bathroom and kitchenette facilities were modern and worked well.

My single complaint concerns the toilet layout in our room -- inexplicably a long-bowl toilet (and its seat cover) were put under a narrow counter ridge running above, meaning that you could not fully open the cover without one or both of the parts falling down. It would not stay up on its own. All in all a comparatively small concern, but an avoidable one.

I loved the rooms. The kitchen is very functional, our dining table in the living room area went up and down with a hand crank. Very cool piece. The room was very clean everywhere, and the free toiletries are good quality. Check in and out was very simple. Had no noise complaints. Parking is nearby in a secure pay parking garage. Not handicapped accessible to the second floor, but that wasn't an issue for us. Great food, entertainment, and walking trails very close.

We liked the location which was close to the party that we were attending that night; a cab office was right next door which was perfect for getting to and from the party. The decor and ambience were beautiful and the room was perfect for our needs. It was quiet and we had a great night's sleep. What is most important to me is cleanliness and the room/hotel far exceeded my expectations. The only thing is, as an older hotel, there is no elevator; this didn't concern us but would be an issue if someone had mobility issues. The website alerted us to this when we booked.

I forgot something in the room and had already checked out. There was a moment of panic as there was not a lot of people around and I had to leave a voicemail for the manager. Fortunately, someone helped me out and let me back into the hotel. The manager did return my call later.

We arrived in Guelph in the late afternoon before a 7 pm concert at the River Run Centre. We were able to park on the street out front while we moved in. The check in is in the restaurant downstairs. It was simple and efficient. They had an envelope ready for us with everything we needed then, off upstairs (no elevator) to our room. The woman who checked us in let us know where we could park for free overnight nearby. The concert was a 5 minute walk from there.

Location - close to shops, restaurants, and the train station. Vibe - gorgeous building, well modernized. Decent security at the front door.

Location - busy street can be loud at night, pub underneath meant loud patrons hanging on the sidewalk below our windows. Didn’t anticipate having someone come into our unit to replenish toiletries. It’s fine; but we didn’t know. Please supply some teabags along with coffee pods, as not every can drink coffee.

We have stayed here several times, it is quiet and usually clean. We like the separate bedroom and kitchenette.

Mattress needs replacing has a void in centre. Bed frame squeaked with every motion. Door into bedroom needs oiling, it squeaks as well. Grout in tub needs to be replaced it is dark and appears to be moldy. Microwave turntable needs to be washed, found an empty plate inside.

The location was amazing and the building was interesting. The ceilings were about 20 feet.

Our room was in the middle of the building and had NO windows, except for two skylights in the kitchen. I’d have expected that would be reflected in the price or listing. The couch was comfortable if you sat straight up, but it DESPERATELY needed side pillows if you wanted to curl up. The bed was squeaky every time anyone moved. This isn’t really the hotel’s fault, but someone upstairs kept moving a chair or something and it was really loud dragging/scraping sounds through the ceiling for about an hour. Really needed backup roll of paper towel and Kleenex - the roll/box we had was right at the end and no extras around. Since there’s no reception desk, if you don’t catch housekeeping in the morning you’re out of luck. There was dish soap but no brush or sponge to wash anything with.

The setup Inside the hotel was very nice, tidy and clean, bed was comfortable, two TVs, one was in the living area, the other was in the bedroom, so quite convenient to watch TV no matter where I stayed. There was a kitchen and a full-size fridge, it would be very convenient for a family staying there for several days and prepare a simple meal. A lot restaurants around, and the city garage just steps away.

Can not check in earlier, and there was no elevator, so it would be difficult for guests having a big luggage. There was not enough hangers in the closet.

This place was a good location to walk to any where you need to go in town. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Clean rooms and updated. Check in was very easy down in the restaurant. Felt very safe there which is big plus when I pick places to stay.

For other travelers, you do have to lug up luggage up the stairs. It wasn’t a problem for us but just heads up if stair way is a problem for you.
