Very cool and well thought out. Huge room/ studio. The location is super. Environment aware.

Would be nice to have some coffee powder and tea bags. . A small gesture that would go a long way. The key pad in the main entrance is faded so I had trouble punching in the code. Thankfully a guest arrived and let me and instructed me on how to enter the code. I think the host is in Spain so with the time difference she didn’t answer when I arrived and had trouble entering the house.

It was the best stay ever in Santo Domingo! (I moved to Fixie Lofts during my stay in Santo Domingo cause I didn’t like my first accommodation) The location couldn’t be better—in the center of the Colonial Zone. It was really clean, neat, cozy, and spacious. Check-in and check-out processes were really easy, and instructions were very clear. They have everything to cook in the kitchen. The bed was spacious and super comfortable. I would love to stay in Fixie Lofts again when I return to Santo Domingo!

Location, decoration, comfort! Responsiveness of the hosts. Good value for money. Has a good setup with a small kitchen, small desk to work if needed and good wifi connection!

We booked a "garden view" room, thinking it is on the higher floor (as there were "ground floor" rooms) and we were given the room in the ground floor and were asked to pay more if wanted to be up there. Maybe garden view means ground floor too but it should be specified in the description. Anyways we loved our stay!

I love the unique colonial design of the apartment, it adds a lot of character. The building interior looks exactly as advertised which is nice. It’s in the main tourist/ accessible area. The bed was comfortable and toilet/ shower clean.

Some amenities could be added such as a kettle, and the curtains are quite transparent if someone wanted to look through them. The lighting is quite dim

I had an amazing stay at this gorgeous place! As a solo female traveler it was perfect as far as safety is concerned. It’s just a block away from the main square and there area restaurants and cafes everywhere in the area. The aesthetic of the place is so lovely! So make sure you get some good photos! I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to all my traveler friends.

It looks exactly like the pictures and it is clean. There’s no pictures of the bathroom on here, but rest assured it is clean and nice. I was nervous because I thought there would be a lot of bugs and thankfully there was none. I would choose this place over the hotel. Location is perfect. It gave authentic vibes. Loved it and would recommend it.

such beautiful decor and ambience, it is like an urban paradise… I’ve always seen this turquoise house from the street and wondered what it was… and when you step inside it is like being transported to a mixture of Cuba and Marrakesh but with an urban industrial New York - Mexico interior … the tiles and cacti were the best.

as a solo girl, I felt a little scared in that there isn’t a reception but I understood this when I booked it… plus the other guests were really friendly and the location is perfect so it doesn’t feel remote or scary

The location of the Lofts is fantastic. It is a quiet area but with plenty of restaurant options nearby. The interior design of the building is picture perfect! When I posted it on Instagram, everyone wanted to know where it was. If your stay is long enough you can even go grocery shopping and cook in your loft. Since my stay was short, it was a perfect place to relax and get some peace of mind in the middle of a fun tourist area.

I did not realize that there was no concierge and I don't think that that is clear enough on the home page. The owners were very responsive on Booking messenger and answered my questions quickly. However, if I were a first-time visitor to Santo Domingo, I would prefer a hotel with a concierge that I could easily ask questions to about local sites and restaurants. I have lived and worked in Santo Domingo so I know how to get around but it should be VERY clear on the main page that there is no one on site if you have questions.

I love the story behind the architecture. The design is beautiful and wholesome. The loved the attention to detail. It had a full kitchen, a small pool to stay refreshed and it was very quiet at night which was important to us.

My only feedback is the room needs a brighter light. We just had the desk lamp or the bathroom lights. Not a big deal at all but it was the only thing that I noticed when it was getting dark.

The place is very central to visit the colonial area. he rooms are big and the decoration is beautiful.

They are a bit dark but it seems is part of the old colonial buildings to keep the place cold.
