The room was clean and comfortable, even cozy looking, made us feel at home. The AC unit was quiet and worked well. The location was great! Not far from walking downtown and right on the lake. The pool was great for the kids in the evening when it was too cold to go in the lake.

There were a lot of options for breakfast, but the quality wasn’t great. Everything felt a bit rubbery, even the pancakes.

The room was nice, clean and spacious. Loved to see the sunrise on Lake Huron

I didn't know about breakfast I didn't like the fact there was no elevator at this hotel we went through the neighboring hotel to use their elevator felt a little weird to do that. Also the lighting in the stairway was not good. Some sections had no light. My wife is 75 and needs light to see the steps

Well, the room was clean when we got there. The bedding was comfy. It was nice. I was happy to see a nice sized refrigerator and a coffee maker.

After arrival, with a 3 night stay, our room was not touched by housekeeping. No one emptied the garbage, no bedmaking, no fresh towels offered. I was able to run down a housekeeper and get fresh towels, and when i sat the garbage cans into the hallway, they did empty them. Also the outdoors hallways and staircases were very dirty, as was our balcony.

Ease of finding the hotel, close to everything we wanted to visit both in the city the hotel is located as well as a very easy drive to other tourist areas we were looking to visit,, stafff at front desk was knowledgeable when I asked where a certain store was if it was a walkable distance

I would love a coin operated dryer as this hotel is on the beach & being able to dry bathing suits & towels would be phenomenal

The hotel exceeded my expectations. It was a great hotel for our first Mackinaw visit. The room and bathroom were clean and being lakeside made the experience even better seeing the sunrise and sunset.

The pool was cold, but not a big deal for the kids.

Location

Property is a little dated. Too many seabirds to enjoy the balcony. Crowded breakfast room that you have to share with guests from other hotels.

Very good location, comfortable, table with chairs in the room, large sink counter, right by the lake with easy access, and many good restaurants within walking distance, plus both ferry terminals. We were able to order Mackinac Island ferry tickets at the hotel desk with a discount! Front desk employees were very nice and helpful.

No hot breakfast (likely none for many months), though their own website and Booking.com state that a hit breakfast is included. We were given tiny grab-and-go bags with a small apple, snack size granola bar (~80gm), and a room temperature bottle of water. we should have received a room discount of at least $15 for each night…maybe per person, too. Carpeting needed better cleaning in corners and next to bedside stands. Shower temperature varied significantly in the morning, though not badly enough to freeze or scald us.

All was excellent, staff was cheery & helpful , location was perfect for getting on the ferry to island , pool & hot tub very nice & beach was absolutely gorgeous and spotless, will definitely be back

The staff was wonderful and the location is the best. Walking distance to lots of locations.

I didn't like the smell of the room. There was a funk smell that came and went. The water would go from warm to burning hot. That wasn't good when taking a shower.

The wonderful lady at the front desk gave us an amazing room with an amazing view. We had a lake view room. It was just what we needed. We were so happy. It was our first vacation since covid. Had a wonderful time and would stay there again. The lady at the front desk was so nice. ( wish I knew her name) I wish they still had breakfast there in the morning included. According to the website they offer it. but they really don't. They offer water, apple and a granola bar. I understand it's probably because of covid and everyone being short staffed. We still had a wonderful time and would stay there again.
