We enjoyed the balcony and location. Perfect view of the lake and close to all of amenities. The beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning was very cold, definitely a plus. We enjoyed the hot tub and the pool. The hot breakfast in the morning was very nice. The sunrise view from our balcony was beautiful. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

I thought the price for the room was a bit high. I guess foe the location it was in, it was to be expected. The view in and the pool made it worth it.

Breakfast was great. Appreciated the friendly staff member who kindly picked us up on the golf cart and dropped us off for breakfast. Pools looked awesome, but we forgot to pack our swimsuits, so bummed we didn't get a chance to jump in. Fireworks and smores were also a nice, unexpected feature of the establishment! We also visited during a Mini Cooper gathering, so that was a fun perk to the weekend.

We were in the Michigan building and upon walking into our room there was an overwhelming smell of what was probably cleaning chemicals. There were some cosmetic flaws in the room that were in need of some TLC/fixing up. We expected the room to be a bit more pristine considering the cost of the stay per night.

When we arrived our rooms we were booked for rooms in separate buildings. When we explained to the staff that we had 4 kids under 16 they immediately recognized that wouldn't work. It took some time, but they found a way for us to have rooms next door to each other, right by the pool, and with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff and the service continued to impress us during our stay. The included breakfast had a great variety and the staff kept everything stocked and clean throughout the entire service period. Every night they had a bonfire by the lake, and provided everything necessary to make s'mores. The shuttle service to the Mackinaw Island feiry was very efficient, there were always plenty of towels in the rooms and at the pool, the grounds were well maintained and the rooms were clean.

We had an Amazon delivery mishap. We had confirmation that the package was delivered and handed to a staff member, but when we went to pick it up from the front desk, they didn't have it.

The room was clean , with a beautiful lake view. We stayed in the Ontario building,facing the lake . The rooms do not have the latest decor style, but that did not bother us,overall we were looking for a clean and quiet hotel. The staff was very friendly and we could check in a bit earlier than normal,which we really appreciated. We did not get the chance to use the indoor pool as we were there for just one night ,but the pool looked clean. You can buy the Ferry tickets right from the front desk and the tickets also include a bus shuttle to the ferry and back. Also you can walk from the hotel to the ferry ,it's just an 11 minute walk ( we did that one evening,and it was really nice ,so if you like walking around,you can do that as well)

There was no shower gel provided ,just a soap bar , one shampoo and conditioner for 1 person use ,so I was happy that I brought my own. The breakfast was ok, the only thing that was missing was any kind of vegetables. I know this is the standard breakfast type for most hotels , and I do want to mention that I did not ask for any special preferences upfront but some basic vegetables such as some peppers, cucumbers or tomatoes would be great.

We had a two-bedroom, which provided plenty of space. A small refrigerator was provided. Beautiful view! Staff was very accommodating, calling a shuttle to pick us up to go to the ferry. Discounted tickets are sold at the hotel. Nice location. It would be perfect for family reunions. Nice pools!

We are older, and lugging luggage up and down stairs was annoying since there wasn’t an elevator in our building. Breakfast was very crowded with long lines at each station and not enough seating

Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast selection was good and the staff were always replenishing the food quickly. Very well located for Shepler’s ferry to Mackinaw Island, 6-7 minute walk. The hotel offered discounted ferry tickets and also a shuttle bus to and from the ferry if you preferred to ride. There is a bonfire with s’mores at the lake edge at around 7 each night to end your day.

The room comes with a freshly cleaned tv remote, which we appreciated but it’s a pretty basic remote that doesn’t offer a tv guide. Trying to find tv stations was a challenge. It wasn’t a huge problem but it would have been nice to have had a printed tv guide in the room.

We loved the view, location, and rate!

I booked this room almost 1 yr ago and still was on 1st floor with kids jumping and making loud noises above us. Never put kids on floors above others. Very rude. I will request the top floor next time. Also, maybe have some no dog signs on the beach or near other people's balconies. Lady was walking her 2 dogs to potty in front of our balcony and then cleaned it up(kudos). BUT, make a dog run.i still need to walk and enjoy my balcony space. Overall, our visit was great!

We love the location and the staff. This was our second time staying at this Best Western. They have a decent all you can eat buffet breakfast. We find Saint Ignace to be quieter, than Mackinaw City. Plus it's close to a favorite restaurant - The Gangplank. If you go, I'd recommend the ribs with the bourbon sauce.

It's barely worth mentioning, but we had to really crank up the heater during our visit, because it was cold and damp and it took quite a while to warm up the room. But that is the only complaint.

Best sleep ever..huge, comfy, clean rooms (both..we had to move due to late reservation on our part), great location on beach of Lake Huron with stunning sunrises and scenery. Loved the pools and jacuzzi. Sal and Jay were the best..give them both raises! Super customer oriented, pleasant, efficient and so decent..a pleasure. Front desk staff were all terrific too . Would LOVE to return..great place!

TV..no written or on TV directions..extremely difficult to get to a desired channel..even employees and other guests agreed. Internet in rooms and the lobby was TERRIBLE! Breakfast was average.

Our room was very nice with a spacious layout. We had a great view with a good-sized deck and easy access to the pool. The breakfast options were good. Shuttle service was nice and efficient. Outdoor pool and patio area were very nice.

There was considerable noise from the people above us walking around in their room. Guessing this is structural since we didn't hear voices. The waffle makers were down one day, so that was disappointing for our kids. Also, the outdoor pool was closed for almost half the time we were staying there, which was also very disappointing. One of the days was rainy, so that day it didn't matter.
