We enjoyed the balcony and location. Perfect view of the lake and close to all of amenities. The beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning was very cold, definitely a plus. We enjoyed the hot tub and the pool. The hot breakfast in the morning was very nice. The sunrise view from our balcony was beautiful. All of the staff were friendly and helpful.

I thought the price for the room was a bit high. I guess foe the location it was in, it was to be expected. The view in and the pool made it worth it.

Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast selection was good and the staff were always replenishing the food quickly. Very well located for Shepler’s ferry to Mackinaw Island, 6-7 minute walk. The hotel offered discounted ferry tickets and also a shuttle bus to and from the ferry if you preferred to ride. There is a bonfire with s’mores at the lake edge at around 7 each night to end your day.

The room comes with a freshly cleaned tv remote, which we appreciated but it’s a pretty basic remote that doesn’t offer a tv guide. Trying to find tv stations was a challenge. It wasn’t a huge problem but it would have been nice to have had a printed tv guide in the room.

We loved the view, location, and rate!

I booked this room almost 1 yr ago and still was on 1st floor with kids jumping and making loud noises above us. Never put kids on floors above others. Very rude. I will request the top floor next time. Also, maybe have some no dog signs on the beach or near other people's balconies. Lady was walking her 2 dogs to potty in front of our balcony and then cleaned it up(kudos). BUT, make a dog run.i still need to walk and enjoy my balcony space. Overall, our visit was great!

Best sleep ever..huge, comfy, clean rooms (both..we had to move due to late reservation on our part), great location on beach of Lake Huron with stunning sunrises and scenery. Loved the pools and jacuzzi. Sal and Jay were the best..give them both raises! Super customer oriented, pleasant, efficient and so decent..a pleasure. Front desk staff were all terrific too . Would LOVE to return..great place!

TV..no written or on TV directions..extremely difficult to get to a desired channel..even employees and other guests agreed. Internet in rooms and the lobby was TERRIBLE! Breakfast was average.

Our room was very nice with a spacious layout. We had a great view with a good-sized deck and easy access to the pool. The breakfast options were good. Shuttle service was nice and efficient. Outdoor pool and patio area were very nice.

There was considerable noise from the people above us walking around in their room. Guessing this is structural since we didn't hear voices. The waffle makers were down one day, so that was disappointing for our kids. Also, the outdoor pool was closed for almost half the time we were staying there, which was also very disappointing. One of the days was rainy, so that day it didn't matter.

Not much bad to say about this place. Great location right on the water with a large lawn, playground (we had a toddler with us), and fire pit with a fire every night. The office sold tickets for the ferry to Mackinac and a shuttle will take you to and from the dock. Our room with a balcony and partial lake view was great and breakfast has a huge selection every morning. We’ll definitely stay here again if we come back up to visit the island

Nothing bad to say about this property

Very Good location, very close to ferry bay going to the island. My room was a full lake view with balcony . They offer breakfast with limited options. The place has an indoor and outdoor swimming pools. They offer free marshmallows in the evening around the fire pit.

The beach is rocky, it’s not a sandy beach and thus you are not going to be able to swim in the lake. There are weird type of mosquitoes that accumulate in thousands on the balcony. I had to borrow the vacuum cleaner every day and clean the dead insects. I did ask the cleaning lady for the vacuum cleaner.

Everything was clean, the staff was so amazing and interested in our trip, it really made the whole experience amazing. You need to keep the staff there that you currently have at all cost. The maintenance man was even amazing, and him and his staff were so nice, the hot tub wouldn't turn on the jets, the maintenance team was in it immediately fixing it within 15 minutes. I got to chit chat with him and he is very knowledgeable. We liked the Ontario building, it was amazing, there is not one bad thing I could say about it.

The only thing that was slightly inconvenient is the indoor pool being attached to the mainfacility. And to be honest, it really wasn't a problem for me, as we stayed right when they opened, and the weather was slightly inclement a few days. But staying in actual spring and summer would be amazing. We still 100% want to come back, and I'm just saying this to provide some feedback and to show you I'm not messing around with this review

The view from the room was exceptional! Services provided were very good. We had the best shuttle driver Sid who'd greet us every morning to take us to breakfast and our boys thought he was great! There was a bon fire every night on the lakeshore with extra wood and Smores kits provided by the hotel! Great chance to connect with people from all over. Kids loved the rocky beachfront with the view of Mackinac Island. Sunrise was also spectacular over Lake Huron!

Breakfast was always crowded with people! But that was the ONLY thing that was a concern.

The location is good. The property is lakefront and 11 acres. There is a fire with s'mores ever night by the beach and a full breakfast every morning. Indoor pool, outdoor pool (seasonal), and a hot tub are available, as are a fitness center and guest laundry. A mini fridge and microwave are in room for all of your snacks.

I would prefer a hallway as opposed to doors opening to the outside. However, all lodging in this area seems to be more motel than hotel. This is still a very nice place to stay.
