It was right on the beaches of Lake Huron. It had a fire pit, grill, and picnic tables as shown on the website. The breakfast was great as well.

I wi sh the pool stayed open a bit longer. The night staff young man was very rude to my mom one night we had just gotten back from getting food and had parked where we could get everything thing out then we were going to mover the car. When I say we had just pulled in we had not even finished backing up until he was knocked on our window.

Location was a convenient mid way between local airport and ferry line. Free continental breakfast was simple but met our needs. The grounds included a nice lakefront beach, and the rooms included chairs that could be used for sitting on decks or in the outdoor green space.

Bathrooms would be better if there were an exhaust fan to reduce moisture and odors. Breakfast cereal choices all had added sugars. (They were Froot Loops, Frosted Flakes and sweetened instant oatmeal; something without so much added sugar would have been healthier.

Everything was comfortable-spacious room with nice view. Beds and pillows comfortable. The breakfast and breakfast room was very nice. The shower was surprising wonderful with a great heater in the bathroom. This is an older hotel so it isn't beautiful-but it seems to be well maintained. The staff were all very responsive and helpful. The beach and view of the lake is always wonderful. It is on the outer edge of town so it is quieter but still easy driving to get everywhere. It was a very pleasant stay.

There was a table in the room but no eating chairs. There were two other chairs- a big desk chair and an arm chair so we pulled the table to the chairs when we wanted to eat. This wasn't a big deal so we didn't say anything to the staff. I am only putting this here because you asked and I can't think of anything else to mention.

I would like to thank the staff for accommodating my husband and I on our last minute romantic weekend getaway. I expressed my awful experience I had with my original reservation at another place so I found Days Inn and Days Inn made sure I was all set for my late arrival las minute reservation. That meant a lot that Days Inn went above and beyond to make my trip amazing. Thank you and we will be back soon!

I wished we stayed longer. Everything was amazing.

We made reservations over a month in advance, called 3 times to confirm because we requested a specific room to celebrate our 18th anniversary. Upon arrival we were told it was a maintenance issue and we couldn't have our requested room. It was a lie! It was occupied by a family of 4. The room also became available 4 times during our week long stay and was never once offered to us! Very disappointing 😕.

See above! We should have been compensated. Atleast discounted for the total failure!

Location, balcony view of island, helpfulness of staff, clean room is always extra stars for me.

Huge step up into room. After a knee replaced it was hard to get in/out comfortably. They did bring a ramp to assist me. It looked worse for wear. Haven't seen green tub/ toilet since the 70s.

You could not beat the view of this hotel! The balconies overlook Lake Huron and the sandy beach area behind it was wonderful. Room was clean and even though the bathroom was outdated, it was kind of retro-cool. Breakfast was great, even for continental only. The hotel is also dog friendly and parking is ample.

The staff was not super helpful. I had to ask a few people during shift changes for an extra luggage rack. I asked the front desk if they had one and they said no immediately, but luckily housekeeping was willing to check. The pool could use a little TLC. There was a very VERY drunk man in a speedo hogging up the hot tub blasting and singing country music. Cringe.

On the beach. Beautiful sunrise. Close to everything wanted. Wildlife ducks, geese, and seagulls were fun to watch. Loved the breakfast, esp. pancake maker.

Walls were “paper-thin”. Heard many conversations from other rooms above and beside. AC was slightly difficult to regulate.

If you’re looking for the best water pressure when taking a shower, this is your hotel. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels and this by far had the best water pressure. Sure the tub could be updated but who cares it was clean. Staff were really nice. We stayed in room 55 and we love the double room for our children to stay in.

It’s $25.00 extra per night for your pet to stay with you. There’s no poop stations to pick up after your pet after they’ve gone to the bathroom. Watch your step when walking them outside to go potty.

The location was great.. having a balcony overlooking Lake Huron was awesome!

I was expecting more hot foods at breakfast, they only had a pancake machine along with the usual cereal, yogurt, muffins The room was clean - but needed some attention to details like cleaning inside the microwave, fixing reading lights, and having comforters on both beds
