We stayed in the room with terrace. The room was very big and had a large wet room which contained shower and toilet facilities. The terrace was a very good feature, it was large enough for two people and had a table and two chairs. There is a larger terrace next to it, which is for use for other hotel guests. We were also using this terrace when the sun was no longer on our terrace. The air conditioning in the room worked very well, and even though it was very hot outside, the room was always nice and cool. We slept well every night, the hotel is in a quiet area and there was no noise at all. The room also contains a small fridge. The hotel staff were great and there is 24 hour reception. You can play pool for free in the reception area. The hotel is approx 5 minutes walk from st roch train station and 5 minutes walk from place comedie. There are bars, restaurants and baker's shops all around, so plenty of choice. We found it to be a very safe area and never felt worried, even well after midnight. We chose not to have breakfast, mainly because we like to stay in bed later and decided to go out and eat every morning. There are plenty of boulangeries nearby. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in Montpellier. Even for a longer break, we stayed 9 nights, it was very good.

Whenever we used the shower, the whole wet room was left flooded because the water wasn't fully draining away. This included around the toilet. We even adjusted the shower head to face towards the wall in the hope the water wouldn't flood the whole room. We had to use a towel to mop the water from around the toilet and force it down the drain, otherwise we would have had to stand in water when using the toilet! A simple remedy would to leave a squeegee/mop in the wet room for guests to use. Wasn't a big problem and it wouldn't put me off using this room again.

The greeting from Rodrigo and his colleagues was so welcoming. All the staff were really helpful. The location was excellent to visit the busy central Montpellier area with its bars and to visit the tourist sites. Rodrigo suggested some excellent places to eat. The apartment was spacious and very clean. Parking was easy and secure. Close to the station for a visit to Nimes.

The location is slightly off putting but in reality is not a concern as it is very convenient for teams, trains, bars and restaurants. Our room key failed often and the staff again were very helpful in sorting it out.

The hotel exceeded my expectations and offered the best price–quality ratio. I was looking for a hotel that matched the following criteria: 1) Secure parking; 2) Close to the city center; 3) Comfortable bed; 4) Affordable price - Privilège Hôtel met all my needs. On top of that, they serve a great breakfast! Special mention must go to the staff - everyone I interacted with was kind, polite and helpful. Especially Rodrigo, who not only gave us a warm welcome but also helped us find and book great local restaurants to explore regional cuisine. Thank you, Rodrigo!

Location: close to everything - Place de Comedie, Old Town, etc. Very friendly and helpful front desk personnel, and I even made the acquaintace of the manager (by chance) who was also very nice. There was no problem at all to keep the car in the garage quite a few hours after checkout. Otherwise, the hotel is unremarkable, but perfectly functional.

A bit tricky to arrive at in a car, and the parking garage is the tightest I've ever encountered - not just the bays but the manoeuvring space. You get a digital code to drive in and out as you wish, but you can't go down to the underground garage directly - you need to stop at the reception and the receptionist will use a special key to allow the elevator to go down to Level -1.

We booked Superior Double Room and although it was quite small, the bathroom was spacious and very well designed. Another big plus is that a toilet was separated, so you can use them simultaneously. The room had very comfortable bed and a kettle and Nespresso machine with some coffee and tea.

The cleaning lady entered the room while the sign “do not disturb” was on the door handle. She apologized and said she didn’t see it, which is very strange to me, since that’s the first thing you have to look at before knocking on the door and entering. Also, you need to wait before entering, but she entered immediately without even knocking. That was extremely unpleasant experience.

Although the immediate area looked a bit dreary, the apartments are well situated to easily access almost everything a traveller would need in Montpellier, without being expensive. Parking and a lift (elevator) very handy. The Indian restaurant over the road was a very attractive and nice change from all the French food we've been eating.

Would have appreciated some information / map of Montpelier (but tourist info centre walking distance). Would have appreciated a clothes washer or access/ info on laundromat

The front desk help were friendly and great with directions and information. It was wonderful to have a free, gated and covered parking spot for our rental car, especially in the rain. The location is very convenient, with the regional train station and the local tramway system across the street. It was an easy walk to the Place de la Comedie, Polygone shopping center, and practically everywhere else. The Loft was spacious and clean, and bathroom and kitchen were nice.

A few drawbacks to the Loft: the bedroom ceiling is too low for even a short adult (like me) to stand up. All windows are skylights, no side windows. And the dishwasher was broken, but that wasn’t a huge problem as we stayed only 2 nights. I’d stay at this hotel again, but in a different unit.

Privilège Hôtel & Apparts Eurociel Centre Comédie is located within easy walking distance of the Montpellier train station. It is tucked away from the main streets and was a bit hard to find when we first arrived. It is within easy walking to the Place Comedie, the tram stops and the Polygone shopping complex. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was fantastic. They even gave us glasses and a bottle opener so we could enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace.

Like most of the hotels we stayed at, getting the AC adjusted was tricky. It was very warm while we were in Montpellier and we prefer rooms to be cool at night. Fortunately, we were able to open the window, which helped.

Great location, friendly staff and welcome air-conditioning in a heatwave. Good shower. And a fridge! Under 10 mins walk to Place de la Comedie. And similar to the station so really well situated.

Toilet was in a little cubicle with very noisy hinges and no handle inside - no problem for a solo person but would have been annoying for a couple. Pillow not very comfortable - but I slept fine!

I loved the location of this hotel - very close to la place da comedie - lots of restaurants, shops and takeouts nearby. Perfect location for if you're travelling alone and don't want to concern yourself with public transport or solo taxi trips (which can be quite expensive). I walked to most places from this hotel which was super convenient. The staff were also incredibly friendly and accommodating.

If you want a luxury stay, that's not the reason you choose this hotel. Very basic room and amenities. The room was clean but upon arrival my bed sheets were slightly stained - I asked the staff to change it to which they did and also offered me free breakfast to compensate. The level of customer care definitely made up for this!
