Location- very close to centre/shops/bars/restaurants Quiet- no street noise, only heard a couple of voices in the hall and door bangs, slept really well Room- basic but had all we needed and was clean and fresh and I found bed was comfy, which is unusual for me! Staff- usually on reception, always pleasant, got us hairdryer and extra coffee, towels etc when we requested them as we don't use housekeeping services on a short stay Great price- especially considering all of the above plus points
No breakfast on site BUT a nice Wetherspoons next door with good range of cheap breakfasts (lunch/dinners/snacks and drinks!) and lovely staff, so no problem! Also, no view from room (just the inner part of the hotel) BUT this probably kept it quiet and meant I could get WiFi in room (think it only said in public areas) so can't complain. If given the choice of a view of the city or quiet with WiFi I would have chosen the latter anyway. Nice view from end of corridor though!

The location was excellent,we arrived at the the hotel about 12pm, there was no early check in available due to staff shortages, which we didn’t mind,so we just left our luggage in the office and went out for the day.We arrived back to the hotel at 5 pm to be told that there was still no room available because they were still cleaning them. The receptionist was lovely and was doing everything she could to move things on quickly. We had to wait about 15 to 20 minutes for our room which i didn’t think was except able .We didn’t make a fuss then because we could see how stressed the receptionist was.
The property was fine ,it was just the check in.

For the price (about £50/night) it was really comfy. Great bedding, a fan in the room was very appreciated, spacious, with clean and cosy facilities. The staff were extremely approachable and friendly, especially as I did have several keycard issues. They also held onto my belongings when I arrived too early which was lovely! I would definitely pick here again.
The lack of reliable WiFi (or access to 4G - not sure if that's just my network though) is something I'd really like to see improved, as I had to go outside several times to get signal. There is a wifi network (IBIS) but it was incredibly tenuous. The keycard system is also a bit temperamental as it deactivates if it gets close to your phone, which can be problematic.

Great central location only a couple of minutes walk from the bars and restaurants, with separate (non-included) overnight parking options close by. Room was clean, including the en-suite, and bed was very comfortable. I was really happy with my stay, even if it was noisy at night from the pub next door as mentioned in other reviews. I knew what to expect, and it was a very hot friday night with my window open. I needed somewhere reasonably priced, in the city, for an overnight stay so I could have a night out, which I think for the price I got my money's worth. The receptionist on the front desk was also very friendly, and they had a luggage store so I could have a wander about in the afternoon after checkout
One lift was out of order and, as mentioned, there was a lot of noise from the pub next door. However, as stated above, I was aware this might be the case and it wasn't really an issue for me.

The hotel is a basic budget hotel (it started out as a Travelodge) in the centre of Lancaster. Reliable hotel accommodation in Lancaster isn't hugely available at this budget end, so this is a good value-for money choice. It's basic but clean & comfortable. Great shower & hot water, very comfortable bed with cotton bed linen. Absolutely reliable, but no frills.
I wish the windows would open fully, but I understand the safety aspect. I paid a bit over £70 pn for a twin room. Anything more would be too much, but I think they've put up their prices since.

The standard of the room decor exceeded my expectations and room no.2 to the rear of the property was very peaceful. The bed was very big and very comfortable. Check-in was easy and conducted by very friendly staff.
I was travelling alone, but had I met a local lady and invited her back to view the luxurious lodgings I would not have been able to offer her a tea, since only one tea bag was provided. Similarly, had this theoretical guest overnighted, we would have had to share the solitary towel and she would have had to have been extra vigilant so as not to burn her bum on the furnace-like, single-400-degree-temperature-setting-bathroom-radiator. A night-light movement-sensor would also be handy to help navigate safely from the bed to the bathroom during the night, as even 8% alcohol Zinfandel can lead to nocturnal disorientation.

A fantastic budget hotel. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, tea and coffee making facilities. Ironing equipment, hairdryers and fans all available on request at reception.
The only issue we had was being woken at 6am on Sunday morning by Wetherspoons staff emptying their cans and bottles into skips right outside our window, repeatedly!! Rooms 107 and 108 back onto the courtyard where the skips are. With this in mind if the hotel could maybe come to an agreement with the pub to wait a couple of hours before inflicting this sensory trauma, our stay would have been perfect!! :)

The bed was super comfortable. Good wifi connection. You get a kettle and some tea. They came to clean every day and the towels were soft. It is very near several shops (for food or clothes!), the city center, and the train station. Also near the bus stop, so you can reach anywhere around the city. You can leave your luggage after check-out.
It gets very warm inside, you can't open the windows, so the fresh air entering is limited. Not very ideal during warm days.

The location is ideal for accessing the city centre via train. It is 10min walk from train station, and close to the shopping, pedestrian quarter. The reception staff were very friendly and polite. The room/ensuite was clean and well prepared, a bit bare and simple, but all you need for one night stay. The bathroom was clean, nice towels and good water pressure/temperature.
The room did not have great views, but I did not spend much time in the room to be bothered by it. There are no facilities in the hotel, there is no food availalbe, but htis is stated in their page, so it wasn't a surprise.

Some of the reviews for this property really made me giggle. I'm really picky so read on. This is a budget hotel, not a fancy 5 star with extras like shampoo, bottled water, hairdryer, fridge, biscuits, unlimited coffee, etc. We had a really lovely room. It was extremely clean, warm and all new, obviously recently refurbished. You get a kettle with coffee, tea, sugar and milk. TV, ensuite bathroom and towels. We were on the 4th floor. There is a lift to all floors. No bar. No restaurant. It's a room only hotel. The staff were amazing, the accommodation was secure and the location is slap bang in the middle of Lancaster city centre. Spoons is next door for a lovely cheap breakfast every morning and Tesco on the other side. Honestly, if you are sight seeing, on business or just passing through, this hotel is perfect. If you want luxury with added extras in your room, then pay more and stay somewhere else. We will be back. Value for money and we loved it.
They'd forgotten towels and the TV remote was missing but it wasn't a problem, the staff were super efficient and fixed it straight away.
