Room was spacious and clean. We didn’t use any of the facilities but they looked clean and well-maintained. Good location.

Staff was not very friendly or all that helpful. We asked for an early check-in, as we were driving from out of state for a wedding that started at 4 pm. We understood early check-in could not be guaranteed, but the front desk told us they would text us as soon as our room was ready. They did not. When we arrived, someone else said the room was ready, which was great but we wasted time driving around when we could have got into the room if they texted or called when it was actually ready. Also 10 am checkout time seemed to be an outlier in the area - friends staying at various other hotels in the area had a later (11 am) checkout. Here, the staff knocked on the door at 9:30 to remind us we needed to be out by 10.

I highly recommend the Desert Sands. An absolutely beautiful place in a stunning location. My stay was perfect from start to finish. Lovely spacious unit with great facilities. Right next to the most amazing beach. I went to recharge my batteries and left floating from relaxation. Thank you so much to everyone on the crew who made my stay so memorable. I Loved Everything

Nicely updated kitchen space inside the queen suites. Comfortable beds. Clean facilities. Helpful staff. Nice living room space in queen suite. Very good living space. Parking was convenient, if a bit crowded on a holiday weekend.

I had to walk to another hotel, a block away to get an espresso. Not the end of the world. Prices, like all of Avalon are high. Not as high as some.

Price was good considering it was off-season in a town like Avalon. Location was great. Close to the beach. And fairly close walking distance to food and shopping.

Bedroom was cold due to air conditioner cranked up. Silly me I forgot to adjust the thermostat.

I’ve been staying here for over 30 years. The staff has always been fantastic and if there was ever a problem, they did everything they could to rectify it.

There isn’t anything I didn’t like about the property

Room was laid out well. The pool. Staff was accommodating service was good.

The machine in the locked closet, our accommodations came on throughout the day and night and was very loud. Loud enough to wake us up at night. There should be a grab bar to get in the bathtub. Should have higher toilets.

Room was clean and comfortable. The bed was nice. Had some basics in the kitchenette. It was fine for what we needed

It would have been nice to have a coffee station for guests and maybe some continental type breakfast for the price of the room.

Been coming here for over 12 years, always clean. We enjoy the area. Always a nice time.

New resort fee added to stay. No access to changing rooms as they keep them locked now, and won’t give you code till you are fully checked in.

The location is great, close to everything.. Jessica the front desk lady is awesome. She's super helpful.. Great stay all the way around. We will be back very soon..
