Everything was just perfect. Nice small cottages in the middle of the jungle with private small pool. Owner is wonderful and hardworking person taking care for everything alone and he manage all great. He is also very caring for each guest and in constant contact. He also provides transfer in vicinity with his tuk tuk which is very helpful especially in night when is dark around. In close vicinity (5-10min walk) there a lot of nice, small restaurants much cheaper than on main Sigiriya street.

Last 200m of street allowing approach to the accommodation is dirt road often muddy and in dark no light on the whole street coming from main road. But if you don't want to walk with flashlight in dark muddy street in the night or any part of the day, owner provides tuk tuk rides for the guests.

There was not 1 thing that we could complain about. The host and his family were amazing. We were welcomed with big smiles and great energy. The villa was spacious, clean and the AC worked a treat. The private pool was a great temperature and we spent hours in it cooling off. Breakfast was served on our private patio each morning, consisting of Toast, Eggs, Fruit and hot pot of Tea or Coffee. Great location to restaurants and mini marts, as well as Sigiriya Rock. You feel like your living amongst the locals as your in the jungle.

Amit was a very friendly host. He made sure we had everything we needed. The room was very clean, the location is 5 min walk to restaurants on the main road. Tucked away in a green oasis and the icing on the cake is the private pool. It is perfect for sore muscles after a hike up Lion Rock. Lovely breakfast of eggs, fruit and toast provided. Shower had hot water, bed was large and comfy and the a/c worked well. Having the ceiling fan as an option too. Very peaceful place to rest.

The location was great- away from the busy noisy area, but still close enough to be convenient. The 2 small cottages are perfectly laid out and surrounded by nature to optimize privacy. The room was shiny spotless clean on arrival and the shower had ample hot water with good pressure. It was so very nice to be served breakfast outside on the small patio and the small private pool was very refreshing after a hot climb of the rock in the morning. Amith the host was always smiling and was very helpful.

The owner and his wife are very friendly. The room and the (new) pool were very clean. Breakfast was tasty and always came with a full platter of fresh fruit. The owner helped us find transport and cleaned the pool at least twice a day. The wifi was good, airconditioning worked beautifully as well, sometimes there were power outages, but this is due to the region and not to the location as we also had this several times when going out for dinner to a restaurant in the center of Sigirya. We loved our stay here and recommend it to others.

Owner couldn't be more helpful taking us round on his tuk tuk, doing laundry , flexible on breakfast times. Breakfast itself was excellent (too much almost) Nice to cool off in your own small pool.

No card payments so had to go and find ATM for what is a larger than normal purchase. Road leading up to the cottage not the most aesthetic. Almost put us off on arrival. Floor area for sun lounger very small. Can only really fit one person (in sun).

Relaxing green and quiet place. A private garden with pool. Really wonderful! Room has everything you want: good bed and pillows, warm and cold shower, AC and good fridge Walking distance from a big range of restaurants, shops,, Lion Rock , bars with Lion Rock and crocodile views. Lovely warm familly that helps arranging whatever you want. Highly recommend this place. Piece of heaven.

Lush garden setting and bird song to wake up to sets the tone. Breakfast delivered to your private porch each morning. Pancakes and large fruit plate are the highlights. Room is comfortable and clean. A little way out of town, so nice and quiet. Amidh the owner is very friendly and responsive. All in all , great value for money.

A bit picky, but for a four night stay, it would have been nice to have a change of towels.

Great place to stay! Sunrise Cottage is beautifully located, surrounded by big green plants and only a short Tuk Tuk ride away to start hiking on the Lion's Rock. Restaurants etc. are in walking distance. The host is super attentative and nice and helps with whatever you need. He gave us tips, offered rides and organized a driver to our next destination. Also, he provided a great breakfast every morning. Thank you for the stay!

We’re a young german couple and we stayed here for four nights. This place was amazing. The friendly host helped us with everything we needed, whether it was means of transportation, breakfast, tips, or giving us a ride on his own tuktuk. It was so cool to have our own pool, the room had a mosquito net and everything else that is needed. It was clean and we would highly recommend this place, we even witnessed some animals crossing by
