Living here was an amazing experience. The house is tucked away from the road, so it was incredibly peaceful, with lots of little animals and birds around. There are shops and places to eat nearby where you can grab a delicious dinner. We’re so grateful to the host and his family for their warmth, the spotless space, and the tasty breakfasts. He’s such a caring, kind, and welcoming man—always happy to help. He even gave us a lift on his *tuk-tuk* when we got lost! Everything was clean. It still feels like a little hidden corner of the jungle—untouched in the best way—and that’s its charm. We truly hope it stays this way. I was deeply moved by the kindness, gratitude, and warmth of these people! We exchanged so much positive energy, and we’re incredibly thankful. Highly recommend heading to the lake nearby for a boat ride to see the birds. Catch the sunset overlooking Stone from the smaller "mountain." Take a stroll along the canal at Water Park (it’s free!). And don’t miss the coconut crêpes made by the host’s wife—pure bliss!

Perfect stay and exceptionally good value. A lovely cottage with its own private pool and small decking area where you get breakfast every morning. Accommodation was spotlessly clean, bathroom had a great shower and bed was super comfy. Owner was lovely and so friendly. Located down a track, about a 10 minute walk from restaurants. Can be dark at night but we had a torch and felt happy walking, alternatively owner happy to give you a lift in his tuk tuk. Ideal spot for walking both rocks. We loved our stay here (the best place we stayed during our 2 week holiday).

Everything was perfect.

Everything was just perfect. Nice small cottages in the middle of the jungle with private small pool. Owner is wonderful and hardworking person taking care for everything alone and he manage all great. He is also very caring for each guest and in constant contact. He also provides transfer in vicinity with his tuk tuk which is very helpful especially in night when is dark around. In close vicinity (5-10min walk) there a lot of nice, small restaurants much cheaper than on main Sigiriya street.

Last 200m of street allowing approach to the accommodation is dirt road often muddy and in dark no light on the whole street coming from main road. But if you don't want to walk with flashlight in dark muddy street in the night or any part of the day, owner provides tuk tuk rides for the guests.

There was not 1 thing that we could complain about. The host and his family were amazing. We were welcomed with big smiles and great energy. The villa was spacious, clean and the AC worked a treat. The private pool was a great temperature and we spent hours in it cooling off. Breakfast was served on our private patio each morning, consisting of Toast, Eggs, Fruit and hot pot of Tea or Coffee. Great location to restaurants and mini marts, as well as Sigiriya Rock. You feel like your living amongst the locals as your in the jungle.

Friendly and accommodating host who is happy to assist with arrangements at short notice. Generous breakfast served to the sound of nature, comfortable sized room with spacious bathroom. The small pool was nice for a quick dip after a day out exploring.

The only downside was the lack of hot water. Although everywhere else we stayed had hot water, I am aware that this is common across the island and doesn't detract from an otherwise idyllic setting.

Amit was a very friendly host. He made sure we had everything we needed. The room was very clean, the location is 5 min walk to restaurants on the main road. Tucked away in a green oasis and the icing on the cake is the private pool. It is perfect for sore muscles after a hike up Lion Rock. Lovely breakfast of eggs, fruit and toast provided. Shower had hot water, bed was large and comfy and the a/c worked well. Having the ceiling fan as an option too. Very peaceful place to rest.

The location was great- away from the busy noisy area, but still close enough to be convenient. The 2 small cottages are perfectly laid out and surrounded by nature to optimize privacy. The room was shiny spotless clean on arrival and the shower had ample hot water with good pressure. It was so very nice to be served breakfast outside on the small patio and the small private pool was very refreshing after a hot climb of the rock in the morning. Amith the host was always smiling and was very helpful.

Nothing to mention!

The owner and his wife are very friendly. The room and the (new) pool were very clean. Breakfast was tasty and always came with a full platter of fresh fruit. The owner helped us find transport and cleaned the pool at least twice a day. The wifi was good, airconditioning worked beautifully as well, sometimes there were power outages, but this is due to the region and not to the location as we also had this several times when going out for dinner to a restaurant in the center of Sigirya. We loved our stay here and recommend it to others.

Owner couldn't be more helpful taking us round on his tuk tuk, doing laundry , flexible on breakfast times. Breakfast itself was excellent (too much almost) Nice to cool off in your own small pool.

No card payments so had to go and find ATM for what is a larger than normal purchase. Road leading up to the cottage not the most aesthetic. Almost put us off on arrival. Floor area for sun lounger very small. Can only really fit one person (in sun).

We had an excellent experience staying here. We were welcomed by a kind, patient and extremely helpful host who arranged tours, tuk tuks, and inter city transportation for us. The room was spotless and the property itself was peaceful, quiet, and tucked away in a beautiful garden. The included breakfast in the morning was delicious and generous. I would highly recommend this place to anyone planning a stay in the area.
