This is a beautiful spot in nature. Lovely pool is a main feature of the beautiful garden, rooms spread around.

We had a fanily room on a ground level. Above us was a room with a spa and spa pump noise was quite noticeable in our rokm. It started at 8am and went on all day. This affected the comfort in a room. Eventhough garden is beautuful, garden lights are quite stong they were on until 1am. We felt the room was not dark enough until then. It is an amazing family owned business, we felt that they were a bit shy in their communication with guests, probably due to language barrier. Saying all this, we would still definitely recommend it

We stayed upstairs in a tree house, which was very nice. Nice, clean beds that were above ground level, which we really liked. The swimming pool was nice and comfortable, quiet surroundings and nice. The hotel was close to the popular "Lion Rock", we drove a tuk tuk to the trip and we walked back home. The including breakfast was a classic Sri Lankan breakfast, it was ok. Not the freshest.

We didn't like that the doors were a bit bad, as a lot of ants, beetles and insects came in. We would have liked a more cozy breakfast. The table was dirty. The breakfast was by the host's bedroom so there were vodka bottles and other things in the window right next to where we ate. Some of the fruit was rotten. The next day we ate at a diffrent cafe.

I loved the pool (although as mentioned in other reviews, it wasn’t open at all during my stay). The location suited me fine but I did get told off by the locals for walking alone which is the first time I’ve experienced something like that in Sri Lanka. The breakfast was enormous and had lots of variety. Staff helped me book tuktuks as the Wi-Fi and phone service weren’t great.

There was insanely loud music all throughout the night, I’m almost positive it was from a different property so this is no ill reflection on the Palmyra team however definitely worth bringing ear plugs as between the music (until 4:30am!!!) and the dogs (which can’t be helped and they’re adorable) it’s quite hard to sleep.

We loved our stay here. It was very peaceful, spacious and clean. You have a fridge and free WiFi which was great, but especially the pool was very very nice! All the people that worked there were very friendly. The vibe here was just great and the breakfast was delicious! Also Dilantha who is the brother of the owner helped us so much, he helped us a lot with transportation in sigiriya and recommending places! If you go to his other brothers restaurant he will drive you for free and his brothers restaurant serves great curry! :) If I would ever be back in sigiriya we would definitely stay at this place again!!

This was by far the best hotel/resort we visited in Sri Lanka!! Dilantha and the other staff members were very nice, accommodating and welcoming. They always made sure we would get a tuktuk or a taxi for a reasonable price. We did the Minneriya Safari Tour, visited the Dambulla Cave Temple and the Pidurangala Rock. It was a short amount of time for everything while we stayed in Sigiriya but they did their best to ensure we could visit everything we wanted. After checkout we could still use their pool for the day since we waited for the safari tour to start and headed to another city in the evening. The pool is the heart of this resort and really beautiful. The breakfast was very delicious and we had a lot of options. The rooms are very beautiful.

There was nothing honestly!

Loved everything about staying here, the hosts were so warm, friendly and welcoming and really looked after us. Dilan made sure got where we needed to be during our stay, from visiting both rocks, sorting us out with an amazing massage at a local spa, picking us up from town and then taking us to Kandy, with a stop at Dambula Temple. Breakfast was really good and plentiful. The room was clean spacious and a very comfortable bed. Having the outdoor pool there was also very welcoming, when we returned from sight seeing. While you can walk into town during the day, you need transport once it’s dark with the elephants roaming around, we never had any trouble getting sorted with a tuk tuk though and would have rather been here than anywhere else. Great place to stay and would definitely recommend. Thank you for a great stay team.

For anyone looking for a slice of paradise close to Sigiriya rock, this is the place to stay. The highlight of this place is definitely the pool, which feels like an oasis in a desert, and definitely to be made the most of when not visiting Sigiriya or pidurangula rock. Dilan is a really chilled, welcoming host who was easy to contact when needed and happy to arrange a Tuk Tuk, and even allowed me to check out late and use the pool while I waited for my taxi.

It’s technically walkable to most places, but at night you’re better off getting a Tuk Tuk as there are many stray dogs and potentially wild elephants.

We booked the room with the private pool which was lovely to come back to after a day walking around in the heat. Rooms were clean and good value for money. Breakfast was the best we received during our stay to Sri lanka Host arranged a taxi to collect us from the airport for a reasonable price. We arrived quite late and were very hungry, the host made us an excellent Sri lankan meal which we were very pleased to receive. We were also able to arrange a trip to polonnaruwa through the hotel, as well as our onward travel to Kandy which included a stop at the dambulla caves

The place has a lovely feel to it. It’s a bit off the main drag but only a 10-15 min walk or a 300 LKR tuk tuk and it means your hidden away in a jungle like setting, that aside from the occasional rooster is very quiet. Rooms are spacious and great air conditioning and the pool is fantastic. There aren’t a lot of rooms so it never got crowded by the pool or noisy. It’s not high-end but that’s also part of the charm. The owners brother also comes around and gives you his WhatsApp number as he runs a tuk tuk service- so super easy to get around. He even took us to Kandy at a very reasonable rate.

The wifi didn’t work for about half the time we were there and despite looking like they had satellite tv none of that was working either (no major issue on either but looked like it could be fixed easily). The shower in the room had very little pressure and only came around once in three days to do room service (again not a major issue for us). Would be nice to have a restaurant on site but again no major as so many close by! All little things I’m sure they’ll continue to improve over time as it looks like they are making improvements throughout the property. Overall a great place with lovely vibe.

Beautiful little family-run hotel. Rooms are gorgeous (ask for the one with the beaut little private pool!). Set in lush grounds where we saw bats at night, a Sri Lankan giant squirrel and plenty of birds. The pool area is outstanding for swimming or relaxing.

The only thing they need to work on is getting the food a bit better sorted. The rice and curry dinner was pretty good but breakfast took forever and trying to order from the pool bar got as far as smoothies but no food was forthcoming… but hey you can do a lot worse than sitting around a nice pool with a fresh lime smoothie even without fries 😊 I’d definitely go back for the setting, the rooms and the charm.
