I did get food poisoning and I think it was from the buffet breakfast (but impossible to say for sure, I had eaten else where the day before, but was fine until after my meal at breakfast when I fell quite ill an hour and a half later..it could have just been one bad veggie). It's nobody's fault because these things happen and the food was still excellent, healthy, and there was plentiful options. What I can say is the matter was taken very seriously and that Holiday Inn did everything in their power to supplement my recovery and help me to feel better. They even sent someone from the front desk to my room to personally check on me, and the kitchen offered to make me soup. Their response to the mishap outweighed the negativity of the food poisoning in the first place exponentially. I can't recommend this place, the service and the kindness and compassion of the staff enough.

Free Wifi dropped occasionally in my room but it was still 90% good

The hotel was comfortable, quiet and good for a business stay. I had to spend a lot of time working in my room evenings and weekend, and appreciated the quiet room, desk space, cool and quiet AC, and good Wifi. The people were all very friendly and helpful - from the security guards, to the front desk, to the breakfast room, to the room service, to the cleaners - everyone! The breakfast was good, with a wide assortment of hot and cold dishes each day. Great idea to have "to go" cups for the tea/coffee, as I often had to take my coffee with me when dashing out to start the day in the horrendous Nairobi traffic. I was also very glad to have a gym (which was never crowded during my stay), to work out in the evenings after a long work day. The mall (with grocery store, pharmacy) just across the courtyard was also very convenient. Unfortunately the one time I tried the food court (Asian hot stir fry take-out for dinner), it made me sick. But the hotel's food (room service many nights) was always very good. I would stay here again. Thank you!

The location was far for meetings downtown but good for visiting the UN compound or places in that area. The distances are not so great, but the traffic can be terrible and take hours to get places. But this is not the fault of the hotel! One or two nights, there was a loud gathering downstairs at the restaurant next to the pool, but happily they didn't go on too late.

It’s English breakfast with some local food, it has varieties and okay. I ordered Masala tea it was a bit cold. Location is near a big mall and not far from CBD so it is located at a good location

Supervisor at the restaurant was rude. We were a group of 3 people sat at the pool area ordered food before the food was delivered to us she came to our table and told us to leave because the entire place was booked and until we left there were no people to fill the entire place. I was not treated well as a hotel guest and was told to leave because of some guests as if I was not a guest. I didn’t like this treatment. Slippers are not provided in the room even though it was cold had to ask for them

Amazing One Bedroom Suite. The bathroom and shower were exceptional. Very High quality accessories. The breakfast was spectacular. They truly cover a variety of healthy breakfast options too. Joyrita Habel and the rest of the team were outstanding. Had a burger for lunch which was amazing too.

Access to the hotel from the parking. It is too steep and a little dangerous.. Nearly twisted my ankle in one of the storm drain grates.

High quality standard hotel with great staff always on standby to assist you. One thing that I likes was that you had the choice to pay immediately for room service with card machine or have order added to bill. This saves a lot of time when you book out and dont have to wait around to go through your bill for extras first.

Expensive.

I love the Kid friendlies, stays include kids eat for free, for kids menus only as of May 2025, and the Two Rivers mall facilities that adds a layer on convenience, such as MadMax carting and the Cinema. The rooms are well kept, clean and comfortable. The happy hour is worth it, old fashioned.

The swimming pool area is great for adults and drinks, but the pool is unfortunately not heated, so kids can only really swim at midday.

The location is perfect if you are travelling for work. As two river mall is right across the hotel which makes it convenient for getting groceries, money exchange, and great range of restaurants at the mall. Area is very secure around the hotel and Mall. The breakfast is good and the staff is very helpful.

Good location, very secure . Big shopping centre just next to the hotel. Go karts and a bit of fun for kids.

A bit boring , nothing to do evenings , not even a billiard table. Menu poor . Overpriced hotel taxis. 2500 to the city . Get uber for 800.

Everything in the Hotel is exceptional. The staff, the rooms, the restaurant, the food, the pool, the view. I really enjoyed my time and am 100% sure I'll be back soon. The location is excellent if you wanna stay close to the Mall and not move too much around Nairobi. You will find everything you need there. If you wanna go to the city centre, it might be a bit distant.

Almost everything in the room was lovely, the bathroom and shower was perfect and the whole room was secure and clean.

The bed was quite uncomfortable. The pillows gave the illusion of being plush, but were incredibly thin, and the blanket was short and thin. The mattress was fine.
