The location was superb, right in the centre of the town with everything easily accessible. The ladies who run the hotel are absolutely lovely - so friendly and helpful with a wonderful sense of humour. Breakfast was excellent, so good the tables were always filled with local people. But no matter busy the cafe was, we were always served quickly and very pleasantly.

Don’t think we could find fault at all. We had a parking space reserved for us by the hotel in a nearby car park which wasn’t the easiest with suitcases but it was worth it to stay there.

Room was basic but spacious and clean. Staff was very friendly! I left my suitcase because I got there before the room was ready and when I got back my room was ready and luggage already up stairs in my room! Property also had an elevator which was nice for luggage. Provided breakfast of egg, toast, pancake, orange juice, plus coffee or other drink which was made fresh for you when you arrived at breakfast!

Only shampoo provided and no conditioner. Shampoo and soaps came in plastic pouches that were hard to open. Minor inconvenience.

Lovely small hotel with excellent cafè-bar attached. It is family-run by sisters who are exceptionally kind and helpful. They have an arrangement for car-parking with a nearby garage, and then all the sights are just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Excellent and copious breakfast, all freshly made. We arrived just at the start of the "apagón" in April, when Spain lost electric power for 24 hours, but every one kept calm, emergency lights worked and there was minimal disruption to our stay. Definitely recommendd.

I really liked the coziness, meticulous maintenance and creative decorative style of this property. The colour and size of the art over the bed, the dark varnished wooden doors in the room, and the large windows all made this such a special place to stay. We were in a corner room that overlooked a church and a park. The mini fridge, excellent air conditioning and sparkling cleanliness added to our comfort. Breakfast was generous and tasty. Staff, with the exception of the person who checked us in, were kind and friendly.

This property was perfectly located for my trip. All of the staff were excelelnt from the first person at reception to everyone else, they could not have been more helpful. I enjoyed the bar and the breakfasts. I would describe the hotel and the experience as simple and warm. The best recomendation I can give is that I would stay there again (and in fact I probably will stay there again next year). I was travelling by motorcycle and if you can find a space outside it's perfectly safe to leave your bike there, alternatively there is a secure car park across the road where you can park at a discounted rate. Ronda is a busy tourist place and not normally the sort of place I would stay - but it's a perfect location for great motorcycling roads. There's also plenty of places to eat and drink in the evening.

Actually I have best hotel experience here as I booked a single room and didn't expect anything special. But Ana on reception explained me briefly how the town works, and recommended a great place to have dinner. And they provide exceptional home style breakfast included in room's price (the price was very moderate). They also have a perfect location. I can say this one star hotel can be a source of inspiration for many other more expensive accommodations.

Hotel Colón offered us the most authentic Spanish experiece. Situated in a central area, close to Plaza de Torros and the Alameda del Tajo (an amazing park with a breathtaking view), the hotel is very intimate and cozy. Our room was quite spacious and extremely clean, with a nice view of the church in front of the hotel. We were impressed by the excellent services that we got. Room was cleaned every day, there were all the needed bath amenities and the beds were large and providing a good sleep. Many thanks and appreciation to the hotel staff, who welcomed us with kindness and smiles. Especially to Mrs. Carmen, who assured that we had the best staying. She gave us recommendations of places to visit and to eat - the best tapas bar ever: Bodega San Francisco. For a real experience, sit at the bar and watch the staff doing their magic. Breakfast is the same every day, with basics, but it also keeps the authenticity of the local community. We most appreciated that locals are coming here often to drink their coffee, read their newspaper or share latest news. It was an unforgettable experience at Hotel Colón! We’d really like to come back one day.

Love this place, second time now. Staff are very welcoming, and if the hotel is a bit old-fashioned, it's in a good way. Rooms at the top with a balcony are great value for money. Breakfast is served down in the bar with the locals - fried eggs, pancakes, toast, preserves, coffee, juice. And you're just five minutes from the bridge in town, maybe 8 to the train station. Ask for a decent local restaurant and they'll probably send you to the nearby San Francisco tapas place, which is a great choice.

What a fabulous little hotel in a wonderful location. Pilar welcomed us us with a warm & friendly smile, once she was familiarised with our names she never forgot it which was lovely. Hotel Colon does not have a private carpark but will give you a discount to park in a nearby parking garage, €12 for 24 hours again Pilar helped us with this too. We had a room with a balcony on the top floor great for sitting out with a cold beer from your fridge. The room also had good air conditioning, TV (Spanish) and an ample bathroom which came with mini toiletries. The room came with an authentic Spanish breakfast which was excellent, coffee, toast, jams, pate, fried egg & tomatoes which is served in the adjacent cafe with the locals, a fab experience. All in all, an excellent hotel which we will return to especially when you have such warm and friendly staff. Thank you Hotel Colon & Pilar...

No kettle in the room but don't expect a 2 star hotel to accommodate this.

Highly recommended. Affordable, family owned hotel. What an amazing stay at Hotel Colon in Ronda, with a very warm welcome and exceptional service from both Carmen and Anna. I felt sad to leave. I was travelling alone and took a single room. It was spotlessly cleaned, ac worked perfectly with a Juliet balcony. Bath gel, shampoo conditioner, hair dryer, fridge, desk, cupboard ample room for a single room, towels, everything you could want and more. They have double rooms with a walkout balcony and great views. Bienvenido Ronda message on the mirror. A walk-in shower and elevator for people with disabilities. The hotel is very centrally located across the park with the spectacular views, next to the bullring and Punte Nuevo. The breakfast in the morning was a fruit cup, orange juice, 2 toast which were huge, butter, 2 types of jam, crushed tomatoes, pate sachets of pork, chorizo, beef. A fried egg. Coffee. Refills on coffee and juice. I don’t think these ladies sleep from the time they get up in the morning with the special attention to guests at the hotel while running the restaurant as well.
