Welcoming reception staff, comfortable bed, comfortable adjustable temperature in room, free parking adjacent, very quiet despite being in town centre, town centre location with choice of local cafes for breakfast, comfy lounge adjacent to reception with bar and restaurant on site.

No lift so have to carry bags upstairs. Only one small chair in room, a comfy chair 2ould have been nice though not a lot of space for one. Being asked to do an online check-in before arrival, was difficult to complete, especially phone number and as it turned out unnecessary, other guests didn't do and didn't have to do at reception either. Never had to do this anywhere else.

The room I had was lovely and spacious and had great views into the square. It was very tastefully decorated. The bathroom was lovely and warm, all the time, because of the heated towel rail and I particularly liked the open old brickwork behind the washbasin. Its a great location within Stokesley town and therefore close to lots of shops, restaurants etc. The staff were all great, very helpful and accommodating.

The room was located immediately above the bar and therefore quite noisy when it was open, but it didnt impact on my stay. It is an old building and therefore quite chilly but i was staying in winter so probably to be expected. The lighting in the bathroom was automatic and remained on for quite some time which at night was a bit if a nuisance unless you closed the door.

Recently refurbished room, well cleaned (apart from windowframe mould) and with everything that you could need including teas, kettle, drinking water, toiletries, fresh quality towels, ample space, modern quality bathroom fittings including walk-in shower and separate bath.

Corridor smell probably due to recent work, initial smell in bathroom, ill-fitting toilet seat incorrectly installed (could be fixed in 2 minutes with a screwdriver), loose basin tap, shower which didn't work at all until I operated the tap over the bath to start up the pump. Toilet flush not great due to poor outlet pipework. Comfortable bed except it dips in the middle due to a bent centre support. Maybe sounds like a lot but no big deal. It is clear that the owners have made the effort and we would happily stay there again.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room had everything you could need (hair dryer, kettle for tea, tea, coffee, and water); iron and ironing board available on request. The room was cozy, I had a table and desk in the room, and the bed was comfortable.

There may be some mildew in the bathrooms, it appeared that effort was made to have it cleaned/covered up in the room I stayed, but there were some spots on the ceiling and on the grout in the shower. No breakfast, but not a big deal as good quality coffee shops are available right across the street.

Location as brilliant as we were at a wedding at Great Ayton. I cannot speak highly enough. Bedroom and bathroom were immaculate. Beds comfy, windows open and we felt secure. Also, we have a bar snack and the food was lovely. Indian/asian style and a good menu choice. Excellent. The staff were friendly, accommodating and just brilliant. Can I also mention that the free parking is in the main central area outside the Hotel. The cobbled area only has 2 hours attached to it - be careful and if in doubt ask the hotel

Nothing to change at all. It was really great. Worth mentioning that when we went breakfast was not available - however we went to Costa Coffee so all good.

Great location. Quiet and comfortable! Clean and beautiful bathroom. Room 5. Looks like it had recently been refurbed. Complimentary tea, coffee and toast in the morning. Staff friendly.

Two really minor niggly things… Although there were blinds up at the window, personally for me, a curtain is also needed just to prevent it from being so light in the room. It did appear others had them from the outside. Luckily I had my eye mask. As I say, really niggly thing. Being a woman, a bin would be appreciated in the bathroom, not just in the bedroom. I ended up moving it.

We had a lovely time, the room itself was absolutely brilliant, so comfortable and had a gorgeous ensuite. The room was also spacious with a view of the village.

Unfortunately the Netflix didn't work well in our room and the TV signal cut in and out so that wasn't really usable but we didn't spend much time wanting to watch TV.

Great location, excellent customer service from the staff on duty, despite us visiting on probably their busiest day of the year (show day). We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent.

Yes the corridors require an update - but our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a huge tv and very clean bathroom. The free breakfast did the job, although plates and bowls had not been put out for use - even though all the food had (including bread, crumpets, cereal, yoghurts), and no staff around, so we had to go and look for them!

A second stay in as many weeks, Liam is a real gem in welcoming you. It's a beautiful old building right in the heart of town, easy parking and lovely rooms - quirky and very comfortable. Great bathrooms with good quality towels and products.

Nothing really - the corridors could do with sprucing up a bit but I think that's a work in progress.

Great location. The room itself was compact, but very clean and comfortable. The member of staff that greeted us was very friendly and helpful

Just a slight niggle with the shower, as it took a while to get it to operate properly. The corridors that lead to our room were undergoing renovation, but it didn’t detract from our stay.
