Location was good for where we needed to be , room was very clean and beds very comfortable. Polite and friendly staff.

Didn't like the shower having a large step and no hand rail for stepping up or down, think this is a health and safety issue. We couldn't leave bedroom window open due to fire exit right next to window , felt unsafe been two woman on our own and really needed window open , next time will request a different room but didn't know till we got there, but won't put us off staying again.

The first impression is one of the most important things when meeting someone or someplace new. I went into the place and was immediately spoken to by a member of staff who was polite, friendly and helpful. I was shown the rooms and they gave me the keys, we were able to find a place to park just outside ( luckily as there is no onsite parking) We got comfortable and went down to the restaurant and ordered our evening meal and was not disappointed with what we were served. The bar staff were friendly as well. The beds were lovely and comfy and tea and coffee plus biscuits were available in the rooms, also kettle, milk and sugar and mugs.

No on-site parking, don't serve breakfast but we found a cafe near by and ate there so not really a problem.

Very central . Upgraded room to the family room on arrival and it was clean , spacious and the upgrade was easily sorted . Friendly staff and the pub itself was great with a lively beer garden . Parking nearby in a large public car park with plenty of spaces .

The room that I booked initially was a little odd with the shower cubicle in the room but the upgrade was easy to sort and so I can’t say I didn’t like the initial room as we didn’t actually stay in it .

Only things that were off was shower was broken and would only use red hot water no matter how you tried with cold.. Hence would guess why the room walls were drenched in condensation. The room was cold at night due to a crack in the window.. Other than that a nice stay and would stay again as perfect for my needs

The staff is amazing, very welcoming, helpful and polite. The food at the restaurant was excellent. Also a great parking area practically around the corner. Beds clean, bathroom was decent.

The room was in need for a much deeper cleaning, spider webs on ceiling and walls, lights, some furniture items were very dusty, as well.

Location is perfect just round the corner from the main high street . There's a pay and display just behind it and free after 6pm. Nice cosey little place, and its a pub as well, friendly atmosphere with good food. Breakfast was not an option. This might be a sickener for some but there are loads of places to have breakfast as you literally on the high street so wasn't a probem at all

nothing really you get what you pay for , not sure if has wifi but couldn't see any codes etc that would be my only minor issue

Ease of the town shops and visiting family. The staff were amazing, great hosts and really friendly. Loved the new en-suite addition to the room, makes a big difference. Slept really well, right next to a busy road but great soundproofing with the double windows.

Location was great, had all the necessaries and a good shower in the room (we had the shared toilet option). Comfy bed and good selection of tea/coffee which was better than many other places we’ve stayed.

Rooms are above a pub after all, so Friday evening we could hear the music until about 11pm. But nothing earplugs could resolve.

Heating had gone off when we came back to the room and it was freezing , I spoke to staff who sorted this straight away but then when we came back later it had gone off again, I think heating should be on all the time for paying guests in this weather and they can turn down themselves if needed.

This hotel is right in the centre of the town. Upon checking in i was greeted by some really friendly staff members who showed me to my room and told me what i needed to know. The room was clean and comfortable, and had all the facilities you need for a night away. I'm 6ft 4 and broad, but my single bed was big enough and comfortable enough for me. There is a bar downstairs which is big and stylish inside and out. They do food but only evening meals or a carvery I think. They don't do breakfast but just around the corner there is a lovely spot for breakfast called the badgers bistro. I would recommend going there. There is no guest private parking but there are plenty of parking options, car parks and street parking only a short walk away.

The shower is a little compact for a big lad like me, but maybe i shouldn't be so big and tall😅😅
