WiFi kept dropping out, had to piggy back a neighbouring business. Food absolutely excellent, well cooked, well presented, well served when staff attendant. Lovely character hotel, beautiful historic surrounding, one can imagine the tall ships of centuries past on the loading area.

Breakfast staff excellent, dinner, after main course we had to wait for almost ten minutes for our empty plates to be removed because the waiter was chatting to a pal and his waitress colleague was on break?? Kitchen person also came to greet pal visiting but still wearing rather soiled kitchen white ??? jacket. We wanteed to order puddings etc but gave up waiting and paid and left. Perhaps getting fresh air into the first floor corridor might 'enhance' the 'ambiance'

Great location, close to many restaurants, shops, dock yard, and cinema. Great bar and restaurant, outside seating was nice, chip shop in the same building with an amazing kebab. Lovely staff and free parking. Bedside power outlets. Delicious breakfast. My wife liked being 20 minutes from Bluewater shops.

The location was amazing and busy so before 11 it was a bit noisy but nothing terrible. My side of the bed had a lump in it.

Interesting location overlooking Chatham Marina and close to the Royal Dockyard. I was pleased to be offered fresh milk to take up to the room for tea- without having to ask. The towels were good and fluffy. I had a decent beer and burger in the pub downstairs, and a good breakfast.

My room (room 1) was a bit noisy as it was facing the main road and the car park; there was also noise early in the morning from a delivery to the Coop store beneath.

Food was excellent for both evening meal and breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a table overlooking The Meadway looking at the boats.

I stated that I had a disability and said I had help. Our room had steps to get from the internal door to the actual room. A very deep bath with an overhead shower, which is great if you are abled bodied, but this meant I couldn’t have a shower and didn’t bring face cloths to have a strip wash. We booked well in advance. Was told at reception that the room had been booked for long term two weeks ago, yet we had booked in July. Lesson learnt - if one has disability state that shower over bath is not accessible for person with disability at the time of booking.

Delighted with our stay at this Hotel. Comfortable room with a great view over the marina basin. Very friendly and efficient staff. Lovely breakfast and of course the rooms are above a pub! We ate in the restaurant for 3 consecutive evenings and thought the food was both very good and reasonably priced. Finally, the location is ideal for visiting Chatham Historic Dockyard - about a 10 minute walk.

The room was rather warm…but it was 32 degrees outside - the hottest day of the year so far. No air conditioning however a fan was present in the room and there was a light breeze from the river.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay at The Ship and Trades. The bed was comfortable, the room was very pleasant and all the staff we encountered were excellent. Very friendly and professional. This is a very good option for accommodation in the area but be aware that the kitchen closes quite early.

The bath/shower controls were very peculiar and neither my husband or myself could figure out how they worked. The shower was over the bath so you had to step into the bath in order to use it. A 'non-slip'mat was provided to stand on in the bath but it felt slippery - and, because, of the difficulty in using the controls, the bath filled. This isn't a good enough reason for not booking - but I would request instructions before you try to use it.

Lovely decor, great rooms with tea & coffee, biscuits, nice little toiletries provided. excellent restaurant / bar downstairs. Amazing food! Lovely outside seating overlooking the boats. Very friendly staff who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Great atmosphere. Co-op next door for all essentials you might need in a pinch.

No AC in the rooms. I stayed during a particularly hot and humid time and it was boiling! Every room has a very efficient Dyson fan provided which really helped. This is the ONLY thing that wasn’t perfect.

Room was really nice, clean and comfortable, the room included tea making facilities and a nice coffee machine with pods was a nice touch, also fresh milk you could top up at any time, nice size bathroom and overall plenty of room, we also stayed for breakfast, nice choice on the menu, I had tasty full English and my wife had salmon and eggs, there was also some continental breakfast as well. All together our stay was made better by the helpful and friendly staff

The room we booked had beautiful views and a lovely spacious balcony - it was pouring during our stay though so we didn’t get to enjoy that. The bed and pillows were super comfy and we both got a great night’s sleep. It’s great having the restaurant and bar right downstairs and both were excellent.

The rooms are gorgeous but very small. Two suitcases in there means you’re jostling for space. The bathroom is also beautiful but I find handheld shower heads incredibly annoying. Particularly the ones like they have in these bathrooms that never seem to adjust properly or sit steady and do little more than shoot water at the wall behind you. Your only option is to hold them to shower, which is tedious. While the room was gorgeous and had good facilities I do think it was overpriced.

the staff were helpful and friendly. I wasn't happy with the twin room we were allotted and was upgraded to room 15. The room was very comfortable with a lovely view of the marina and St Mary's Island, it added so much to a pleasurable stay. The food was to our taste so we ended up eating in the restaurant every evening. A great location for walking to the Historic Dockyard, which was the main purpose of our trip.
